    Some people had asked about seeing a video from Portland. I didn't end up filming there this time, but I have a bunch of old videos from Portland that you can check out here: ua-cam.com/users/gabejedmosearch?query=Portland

    It's amazing how you go to all these exotic foreign countries and the motel bill is about 15 or $20 per night you stay in America and you get a 10 by 10 square box with another person in the room for 90 LOL only in America

      That's why it's cheaper to travel than live in the usa.

      Exactly, one of the reasons I've traveled abroad, it's way cheaper than living or traveling in the US.

      There was not many 15-$20 night stays in his last 6 months travel except for few shitty dorms where other guests enjoy snoring and farting all around you. Must me heaven. 6 months overseas, 15 thousand dollars minimum, that's $ 30 thousands a year. Most people can live in the states for much less, low or high season not important. With a car, a small van, a bike or a moto,sleeping in it or camping, USA can be as cheap as any third world countries.

    And in the evening
    (When the sky is on fire)
    Heaven and earth become my great open cathedral
    Where all men are brothers
    Where all things are bound by law
    And crowned with love
    Poor, alone and happy
    I make a fire on the beach
    And as darkness covers the face of the deep
    Lie down in the wild grass
    And dream the dream that the dreamers dream
    I am the wind, the sea, the evening star
    I am everyone, anyone, no one

    It looks beautiful, and actually the price isn't that bad when you take in to account the fact it's full board with meals. The site must take a lot of maintenance as well to keep it looking like that. Still love following your videos Gabriel, and remember that even though you are now "at home", it's all still a foreign country to many of us! P.S. I am reading your short stories and am exceptionally troubled by what happened to the cat in the one where the girl passes away whilst watching the heavens. :(

    $93 seems a bit steep - no sheets, blankets, pillows or towels, what seems like a long walk to the shower quarters and then you have to share with a stranger in a tiny cabin, wow!

    • @1Lightdancer
      @1Lightdancer 4 роки тому

      That includes three organic meals, programs (classes like yoga, meditation, systems tour, musical offerings ...) plus 24 hour use of the pools and sauna and use of the trails.
      I loved and worked at Breitenbush for several years in the 90s, (on the Healing Arts team, offering massage) it's the only time I've had a job with medical benefits.

    To be clear, Breitenbush is not a nudist resort. Clothing is option only in the hot springs or sauna. Clothes must be worn anywhere else on the property. All the guest cabins burned on Sept 7, 2020 and there are plans to re-open to camping on May 1, 2021.

    I've never heard of having to provide your own blankets and pillows. I suppose it's due to the relatively basic remoteness and simple atmosphere. You get my point. I can respect that. They are clealry focused on peacefulness and self-love judging by the medicine circle/path. They could still provide blankets... Not much lovin happening if you have to bring your own blankies. Nice vid. Always look forward to your stuff.

    If you had to pick your top 5 favorite most beautiful United States which states would they be? In terms of beauty? Oregon is number one for me. Curious about your opinion. Also do you have any videos in the Mount Shasta area? Thanks again for getting me addicted to your UA-cam channel haha

    • @GabrielTravelerVideos
      @GabrielTravelerVideos  6 років тому +1

      California, Oregon, Alaska and Hawaii are my favorite US states. Hard to pick a fifth. Yes I do actually have a video from Mt. Shasta, when I went there to watch the solar eclipse in 2012: ua-cam.com/video/zJXBrAtYKUc/v-deo.html

      Yeah I saw that, it sounds awesome. But they are looking for two people to share an apartment together. I'm not sure I can find someone I want to live and travel with for the whole summer, who also happens to have the summer free to do something like that.

    Yeah, I'm never paying that much for a shit room. Love ur videos, watching for a while and I think this is the first time I've ever seen something I disliked so much. Lol not even a blanket for a hundred bucks. Oh and no Wi-Fi, no phones, yep Ive decided that place sucks. With what they offer it should be about ten dollars. I just cldnt do it. U pay all that money and get to sit in their puddles. Lol Just nothing I wld want to do. Lol

      I've never paid more than $75 for a really nice room, even in the Caribbean. Even got a 2 BR furnished townhouse in Barbados once for $75. This is ignorant for a shared room. I think Gabe's patrons have spoiled him.
