Rising Storm 2: Vietnam is a 2017 multiplayer tactical first-person shooter video game developed by Antimatter Games and Tripwire Interactive and co-published by Tripwire Interactive and Iceberg Interactive. It is a direct sequel to 2013's Rising Storm and is set during the Vietnam War.

I think everyone has a love hate relationship with the MAS. We love that it one shots and has fast ADS, we hate the iron sights and the partial reload.
The irons arent even bad...
Honestly? the VC's hunting variation of the shotgun is probably my favorite....get some pretty interesting kills at ranges.

The reason the sight looks so weird is because the aperture is cut into a swappable plate for easy zeroing at the armorer level. The french were very big on not letting their grunts do anything by themselves, not even zeroing their rifles in the field.

The sniper version got me 30 kills, absolutely amazing
MAS-49 is actually a good weapon and it's one of my favorite, it has higher damage than SKS or M14. I don't see any problems besides the high recoil. Also the thin front sight makes shooting long-range targets easier unlike the blocky front sight of SKS and AK.
Btw the sound of Mas49 is disgusting, "PFFFF" "PFFFF" XD
man it doesn't sound as loud as other weapons so I take that as a positive XD

I didn't knew this gun was so hated because of the Iron sight. When I get the chance, I always choose the MAS when i'm on the VC side.

I'm new at the game and the MAS 49 is the only rifle I can consistently use, I love it and see no issue with the iron sights lol.
The tiny front post makes the MAS 49 the best rifle. Okay maybe not the best but it's one of the best in RS2.

strat is learning the centre of your screen and ADS for a split second to shoot
Gotta admit, if you can hone in your aim game with the battle rifles, they are probably one of the scariest weapons in the game.
The MAS-49, the M-14, the L1A1 (or L1A2 which is basically a direct upgrade), and the M1 Garand are some of my best performing all-rounder weapons in this game. It's my personal opinion that people who don't like these weapons simply can't aim well and rely on full-auto mag dumps to secure their frags.
Tbh I'd take the L1A1 any day of the week over any of the other rifles, the sights and the damage are just amazing, not to mention accuracy.

The spot in the first half is even better if you're a good mg gunner. Super easy to mow down the entire enemy team.

I believe the Mosin Nagant is one of the best rifles
The MAS just flips so hard when you fire with it so when you can't hit things cause you're an idiot (like me) it makes it annoying to use

the MAS is the best gun for the vcs, basically like a semi-auto mosin that onetaps more often :)
I'd reinstall in a heartbeat if all the fellas at TFZ packed a server for a weekend

How have you not run out of ammo before. I always run out at least once every session but then again my play style is a lot different
I think you're in the minority here lad lol. The only time I've ever needed to consistently run for ammo is to get more rifle grenades for VC sapper. The only case I can see it being that you're a MUCH more trigger happy individual than most
@@no-legjohnny3691Well, real Vietnam war a trigger happy fiesta for all of the forces so it is realistic to that degree lol
I kinda got into the moment there, I have ran out with SMGs but not with the 11 mags with the Mas or the strippers on the SKS or Mosin
Mas 49 with grenade launcher is too good if you know the enemy spawn locations
even worse if you play as SL and use the arty mark to zero in on the enemy lol
If you think those sights are bad, you never tried the Aussie SMGs.

@@Tantwo I guess it's a matter of getting used to them. I personally love all the Australian weapons, though, so I feel like it's not worth getting used to them.
I can't help but feel that they have to be objectively worse than the MAS's sights, though? I mean, you can always see the enemy with the MAS if you aim near them, whereas the Aussie SMGs will completely obstruct your enemies if you aim even slightly to their right.
You should check out Vietnam stuff on arms reforger could be interesting
Do manage to get servers with good ping? If you do what time of the day is that around? Whenever I try to play a game there's no one playing.
on weekends I play on asia server (150 ping) and on US servers (250-300 ping) usually during day time in Australia
