i love the m1 garand, fast to reload and just feels good... that ping is the best part fr same goes for the mosin nagant as it feels good and its fun to inject the stripper clip/mag
Yo, idk if you know this, but I heard from someone that the ping noise for the Garand reload actually doesn't play server side unless you fully empty the magazine before reloading. If you reload when there's still rounds in the chamber you hear the ping but other players don't.
I sometimes like to suggest the SKS to new player, only because it doesn't have full auto. New players tend to grab an ak and hit nothing on full auto so its a good way to learn to not do that.
I fully agree with all your points and I know that this is just game, but as someone who shot both rifles irl, SKS-45 is just far supperior in its role than M1 Garand.
@@dash1141 Better round, 2 more rounds, lighter, easier to use, easier to mantain and more reliable. Plus, I personally prefer SKS sights. It is a bit less accurate, but it's an infantry rifle, not a dmr.
@@dash1141 Also, I forgot to mention that you can easily fill up half empty magazine in SKS. With Garand, you need to dump the old clip with all rounds in it to insert a new one.
@@Hornet1357,62x39 is way better choice for a regular infantry rifle. Unlike the unnecessary overkill like 7,62x54, 8mm mauser or 30-06. These are better for snipers and DMRs. Not for close and mid range combat regular troops found themselves in.
I gota definitely get the Steam version. For some reason when im playing on the Epic Games version, a ear rape version of a song start playing randomly, taking me completely off-guard. And its sometimes buggy, even tho i have a very decent gaming Pc.
Hi, sorry for ruining the M14 and MAS-49 for you (and getting some stats wrong as it was off the top of my head), but I have yet another fun fact you may have noticed! All 30-06 weapons share the highest penetration (23.5), making them insanely nasty at wallbangs. Shooting at commonly used spots through a building can net you a lot of surprise kills. In fact, I feel like wall bangs (or even firing through smoke) are deeply underused in RS2. It gives the LMGs and other higher caliber guns another advantage due to their higher pen/damage, with the M1919 as the best one for the job. You'll be surprised at how much wall pen even the AKs have, which is something the M16A1 (objectively THE best gun in the game) cannot do (10 pen depth VS 15 for the AKs, which does make a difference when you're shooting through brick walls).
There is Powerbits and PR that are usually full,otherwise there is a server that i joined called Welcome to the ricefield trying to grow up and very friendly
I am still an S.K.S enjoyer all the same. Ach I must say it would be good if across the game one could start reloading and say change the clips and then cock it at another time. E.g. Load new clip, get shot at, move and then cock it once relocated.
Some of the gameplay at the start is from GOM 4 hence the Garand thumb

M1 > M14, despite the lower mag capacity, the M1 always puts down enemies with one hit while I've had times where M14 takes 2 shots.
As someone who owns an M1 Garand IRL, it is an amazing rifle.
