Condolences to his friends and to his family. I may have not known you but rest in peace sir may you coming home give your friends and your family the closure they all truly deserve.
This was a textbook example of how the local authorities, law enforcement service and other services should cooperate with the help of AWP. They asked the right questions and immediately understood the asset that they were offered with AWP. The team work was incredible and the care shown both to the divers security and the respectful way of handling it towards the family and the victim of what we suppose to be an accident was exemplary. And I was not surprised that they did ask AWP to help in the car's retrieval knowing they witnessed first hand the expertise of Doug and his team. They sure would not refuse such help, and I am also pretty sure they'll take all they can as of knowledge and experience from AWP's help to use in future case solving they'll have to handle. Also kudos to all of AWP's members for doing this so selflessly when our world is so full of selfishness... you're an example to all of us.
Well said. Amen! Thank you to all involved for helping AWP to bring Jimmy home. Pretty safe to say this would not have happened without them. LE, Coroner and FD were amazing and gave them the support they needed! RIP Jimmy 🙏🏻❤️🦋
I may have missed an episode, but it seems that of all the recoveries that AWP has done- this was THE best collaboration with the local authorities. I was so impressed with the police acknowledging the expertise of AWP and considering their advice.
I never comment, but I CAN'T NOT when that detective was SO professional, respectful, and just awesome. So refreshing to see law enforcement value your skills appropriately.
totally. it was really all about the case and not a game of control and unnecessary suspicion. i mean, the guys voulenteer to help, not to shame the police
And continuing to hone their skills and expand their scope and reach as able. What a way to use your influence and with such a large mass audience- this truly will change these types of cases and searches potentially all over the world. Tremendous insight and forethought to Jared’s plan to market this idea and educate others. This team is in it for all the right reasons and with hearts of gold. This is what happens when you pursue your passion - it takes on a life of its own and becomes even more successful than what you could have imagined at its inception. Tremendous work Jared, Doug, Nick … and other team members and family members who are supporting behind the scenes!!! This is life changing for many and has potential to touch people worldwide!!
Thank you personally for your Bravely and Sacrifices you made and Thank You for your Service your job isn't easy you and your families are in my thoughts and prayers my Hero Forever
Doug is certainly a class act, in fact, the entire AWP crew are incredibly professional, kind and knowledgeable in what they do! Adventure with Pourpose is one organization worth financially supporting
That humble sort of humility is what differentiates someone being confident from another being conceited. It's a shame that that sort respectfulness is so rare to see these days!
Law enforcement were such a pleasure to work with anything we needed they got for us. The fire department was awesome let us stay in there parking lot that night got water from them for the RV and we're a great asset for this recovery thank you all for everything y'all did for us and this recovery
I was surprised to see AWP in my hometown. I went to school.at Ridley Twp HS. It was nice to Ridley police department so respectful towards you guys. They are not always that way towards others. You guys are the best As soon as I get my next disability check I will join to support their work. Congratulations you guys.
Barely even referring to notes. These guys are evidently so passionate about what they do it's inspiring and beautiful to watch and support. Outstanding truly.
@Camille Dammasch you could say a lot about him but humble wouldn’t be one. “I’m the best in the world”, “I don’t make mistakes”. He has just a touch of douchebaggery.
I am very glad that they were able to help your family and bring Jimmy home! I hope this brought your family some closure. Best wishes for your family's future!
The law enforcement in this town was just amazing. Respectful, caring, professional, and humble. This is what team work and community looks like. Just people helping people. Amazing job to everyone involved in the recovery of Jimmy. Jimmy's family seem like such nice and caring people. Now maybe they can rest a little easier being able to finally lay their beloved family member to rest.
I love how law enforcement knew their limitations and strengths, asked questions and let them get on with the job. This is my second viewing and just realized that it is the detective who was handling the underwater communications. He did a good job.
Not all of the agencies are this cooperative but Doug,Jared and crew are always respectful. Keep watching and your amazement will continue to grow for AWP.
My son paid for my membership with AWP as a Mother's Day gift. I'm so proud to be a small part of AWP so you can continue helping the families of the missing. Sending you all love & hugs from Virginia Beach. ❤️
@@22lyric I agree. I think there should be a way to do gift memberships where family or even strangers can buy a gift of membership for someone who can't afford it. I'm not exactly sure how that would work but it's an idea.
@Rainbow Mom - If I may ask, how long did it take for you to start having the logo by your name and for it to show you as having early release of videos? I signed up two days ago, however, I’m still not seeing the emblem or the videos early?
I absolutely love how the authorities were so open to you guys doing everything you could do to help them recover safely it's not always that case some that I've seen have not been to happy to accept the help with anything let alone even searching with the sonar they want to be the ones to find everything so it's really nice to see them absolutely love getting the help from you guys. Way to go in helping find him prayers for the family and everyone involved
Loved the way law enforcement allowed them to take lead as they were the experts here. No ego no embarrassment just working together to bring this man home to his family ❤
I lived about 5 minutes from here. Walked around that marina many times, never would have imagined there being a person trapped under the water. What a tragedy for him and his family. I have to say it does make me proud that our local departments were so cooperative and professional. You can tell they were thankful to have your crew there! You guys are inspiring. Much love from Delco
@@Justme-jy7vo no, I don't. They don't have the resources or the budget & sonar back then was nothing like it is today. I do think the company that put in that dock should have done put a diver in the water before they start drilling even the first pylon.
@@betha.6279 Email them. All Districts have email contacts. Often they only receive communication when something has gone wrong, hearing thank you's when they got it right means so much to them. (I work with them)
for those who may get upset, I'm sure you meant to say "humanity" instead of "humility" Might have been an autocorrect. You can edit your post too if you want.
@@cindygibson720 I just replied on that other thread - please don't be offended. That wasn't directed at you and you could be right. I just don't understand why people have to be so negative when these guys are doing their very best to bring people's loved ones home to them and succeeding.
They literally uncover these graves and then get the investigation open again at that point. These findings are interesting to see the start of closure.
@@mohberly7353 I watched that one, and Doug and Jared took that one with the upmost respect to the family. I remember them saying that she does belong in a grocery bag.
I thought they would just put a air bag half inside the window and then inflate it to block the window area and then lift the car so that nothing would come out, but obviously there is some problem with that .
Shout out to the Ridley Township PD for being some of the most cooperative and respectful group of LE I’ve ever witnessed. I’ve worked in the field for over 20 years, and can’t say the same about some. Great job to AWP and RTPD 👏🏻
I would like to add a giant "Thank You" to Josh, Carson and all who were involved in the final production of this segment. Photography, music, compiling, editing, etc. was all done extremely well. I appreciate the entire AWP team, their families, and all those agencies providing their support to your efforts. May God Bless you All.
I was happy to see that law enforcement was open to cooperating and not defensive. A professional operation from all fronts. I feel so badly for his family.
I actually cried! More because law enforcement was so unbelievably helpful, courteous, understanding, and appreciative towards all of you! This is literally the first one I've seen where they really wanted, and needed you and were so grateful! Hands down, best one ever! And a HUGE applause for every single one of those officers! To protect and serve, and these guys frickin nailed it!
Everyone involved was of great value the police department , other law officials that were involved , but who stood out for me was Doug , what a great, intelligent guy to know just exactly what was holding the car “down” “for so many years, instinctively knew that the pole that was driven into the car , by accident , by another company that were instructed to erect the pole in that particular spot boring down into the car, Doug knew just what to do , no attitude , no ego , no “ I know more than you attitude” just worked with law enforcement to get the job done; and bring this poor man to a “ forever “ resting place “ kudos to Doug and all involved for bringing closure to this terrible accident that happened so long ago. RIP
It was a very refreshing change (sure they’ve had ok interactions before, but this was such a welcoming experience for the crew), it would be great if the guys from this municipality would spread the word and give professional references to AWP and the rest of the crew so maybe it would open more doors around the country.
This case is unbelievable. Doug's expertise, communication, professionalism, and compassion is absolutely stellar. An impressive individual who commands respect equal to the respect he shows to all. Outstanding job by the whole team. Such important work you are doing and clearly a service that has been needed for quite some time.
I am blown away by how respectful and professional all involved have been. Especially the first police chief ( I think ) who went step by step to ensure all the qualification of the dive team and care and protocols were followed .
Incredible recovery, you guys did such a professional job, with courtesy and grace. So respectful of the situation for the family. The cooperation between law enforcement, the city officials and y’all was the best yet. Everyone working together to ease the family’s loss. Just amazing what AP has cultivated and grown into to help find answers for these families. Prayers for y’all, for safety, strength, comfort and peace. Keep pushing forward, so enjoying the journey with y’all.
The incredible effort that Doug & Anthony put forth to helping the family, dealing the police, I speechless and in awe of this recovery. I want to give the family my deep condolences for the loss of their family member, Jim. May you rest in peace Jim Amabile.
Best content ever from AWP. Doug’s past employment of working accidents with a wrecking/towing Service 100% helps in staying calm and professional working with LEO’s. Thanks Doug and Team AWP for using your God given talents.
Imagine for so many years, as long as the docks have been there, that pleasure boaters are pulling up at that dock to have a meal and drinks at the restaurant. Little did they know, they were docking their boats directly above this mans car and body. I'm still blown away that the dock was built without underwater survey's.
Sorry for the long post, I don't normally post but felt I had to, I have only recently found you guys (Hi from Scotland) and I am in absolute awe of what you and the Teams that volunteer with you do. I am so glad I watched this particular video straight after watching the Davidson County one as I was so so angry and disgusted how the one individual treated everyone. This video shows how multiple bodies SHOULD come together, no egos, no resentment for someone else getting the results, just Team Work to help those who have lost a loved one. On a personal note, and this might sound very weird, I am so immensely grateful I came across you guys as it has helped me see my loss in a different light. Short version is I came across my husband hanging by a rope in our barn/large garage after an argument 20 mins earlier, I froze, then snapped out aof it and tried to cut him down but couldnt and ran for help in between thinking I was in the middle of a horror film and it wasnt real what was happening. That was in 2008, I have suffered PTSD, Survivors Guilt and all the things that come after such an event. It has been a fight day by day ever since, Ive got there, had good times, had bad times of dealing with it and I always wished my husband would have at least saved me the pain of doing what he did so I didnt find him, especially as the sea and the cliffs were minutes away from us. In the last week of watching and catching up with Adventures with Purpose and seeing the families that have gone through such incredible pain and trauma, I am actually so incredibly grateful now that I never had to wonder what had happened to my husband, I can't imagine how much must go through these poor folks heads thinking of so many scenarios that could be, I knew straight away, even though the trauma was and still is immense - but I knew 100%. There is never closure (I hate that term) but what you guys do has humbled me and helped me realise in a very odd way how lucky I am. Keep Safe :)
I'm so sorry for your loss, I can't imagine dealing with that trauma. It's a horrible situation either way, but I'm glad you've found some solace in the fact that you didn't have to wonder. I'm so sorry that you had to experience that, and I'm so sorry that your husband didn't see another resolution, you and your family will be in my prayers ❤️
My son and a couple friends called themselves the three musketeers. They meet in 3rd grade and were tight friends through to adulthood. At 16, my son and one of the boys found their friend has hung himself. I got him into counseling, but ever since he has watched the rest of his friends and family for any sign of depression that may lead to suicide. Not something I would want anyone to have to go through. My prayers to you.
Doug, you are a very knowledgeable person who shows everybody your skills and how you utilise them. I'm so pleased that the Emergency Teams worked with you and they also appreciate that you're the best person for the job in hand. You treated Jimmy with the utmost respect. You've allowed Jimmy's family to now begin the grieving process. I wish I could hug you and give you a pat on the back. God bless your wee cotton socks.🏴 Betty from Scotland 🏴
im in Scotland as well, but fully concur with what you said, to many time law enforcement gets ego with these guys, they do the best job ever and should be an asset to any department or town they work with
James' daughters now know their daddy did not leave them. Thank you all for bringing him home. It is wonderful to see all the public agencies work with AWP to help the Amabile family.
That's what I was thinking the whole time. He was probably thinking of them to the end. As horrible as it sounds, I'm so happy he hadn't had a chance to pick them up yet. We'd have lost beautiful children as well as their lovely father.
Doug, I don't know if you're aware of this. But at aquarium stores that sell saltwater livestock, you can often buy adhesive underwater putty. It is used for securing coral pieces to each other. Might be useful in underwater recoveries. Thought you would want to know. Thanks! 👍
Has to be the most cooperative and understanding law enforcement group I've seen you guys work with. They literally told you, you're the professionals you tell us what you need us to do.
My thoughts as well. The class those officers had in being humble enough to admit that they were over their head and to defer to Doug for his expertise was wonderful to see. The most accommodating and cooperative police force I've seen.
I am so glad Jimmy was recovered! As a person with Type 1 Diabetes, I can honestly say that this is a very real fear for many of us and our families. I got in the habit to always check my blood glucose before driving, but still I’ve missed it. My family and I are grateful for continuous glucose monitors to send alerts to dangerous blood glucose levels. I am so glad Jimmy’s family has some answers now and my thoughts and prayers are with them.
Fellow type 1 on a pump & CGM. I don't drive if I'm 120 or below because I can drop like a rock. Thank you AWP. This one I feel in my soul. Condolences to Jimmy's friends & family. Thank you to the LEOs & FD of Ridley Township for your professionalism, empathy & willingness to work with AWP. Be safe everyone.
My son in law is T1 diabetic, he's had a few near misses when he's suddenly had a hypo , including once driving into a ditch. So scary what can happen in an instant. RIP Jimmy
@@dkoiwitch4001 I drop very fast as well. I’ve had those moments where I’ve woke up late and had enough adrenaline to drive my blood sugar up temporarily only to suddenly crash while driving. It’s so scary! This was a great episode for many reasons, but it was so heartwarming to see the way law enforcement and fire came together for this family to help AWP!
@@CW1971 yes it happens all to often! Prior to getting a CGM I was driving home from volunteering at a diabetes camp and missed my exit. My husband called me when I didn’t make it home. He had me pull over and check my glucose. I had been 170 when I left camp. My blood sugar was 33mg/dl when I pulled over. I was 3hrs south of my exit and driving through a major metropolitan area. It’s amazing I didn’t have a deadly car accident.
@@gurlybaseballfan Wow, I'm so glad you 1. Didn't hurt yourself or anyone else & 2. I'm so glad your husband was alert enough to check on you & I'm glad you listened to him. I've had a blood sugar drop like that. We were camping in Maine with my family. My uncle noticed I was acting strange. He led me back to my campsite and checked my blood sugar - it was 42. It's scary.
It makes a huge difference when the law enforcement are completely cooperative and helpful. It makes recovery and identification much easier as they can coordinate the correct people while they let you do your stuff to preserve as much evidence as you can.
Between the family's emotion at finally knowing what happened to Jimmy, and the dedication, bravery kindness and integrity of Doug and the AWP group, I am deeply touched with emotion. Thank you all and sympathy and empathy to his family. The children will now know where Dad is. It's all so bittersweet..
Major props to the local authorities for asking what you guys recommend as the next steps. They showed it isn't about pride and that it's about doing what's right.
Me and my 6 year old have been watching AWP. He's been playing "diving to recover cars underwater" for a few weeks now. Maybe he'll be inspired to follow in your footsteps in the future. The work that you and the team does is invaluable. R.I.P Jimmy
I had tears in my eyes watching Doug, doing his job with professionalism, leadership and compassion. He really has come along way. Well done Doug 👍 #RESPECT
I am honored to finally be a member. I work on the office side of construction work, and my heart absolutely dropped into my feet so hard that I started tearing up when he announced that the pylon was drilled straight through the engine bay.. I'm aware that people aren't perfect when it comes to building things, but my God, I'm beyond appalled that surveys of the underwater they were building into were not conducted properly. Thankyou for all you do, guys. You're bringing healing and closure to people all over and touching lives with your mission, and honest to God; you can't put a price on that. You've inspired millions of people to give back to their communities like you have. What you're doing is incredible, and we love you guys for it. Keep up the good work. We're rooting for you!
I felt the same. We can hope this case will awareness to the need for new ordinances to be passed requiring more thorough checks of proposed marine area construction. Heck, that could even create a new call for professional divers who will become the future of the AWP movement!
Yes, all it would have taken is a guy in a fishing boat with some type of sonar to inspect that area first. Thank goodness the piling didn’t destroy his remains. SMH! R.I.P. sir. I’m sure you were looking down from the Heavens! Great teamwork to all!! 💙👮🏻♂️💙
I didn’t realised that Doug had so much experience with human remains. The skill needed to do a recovery of remains underwater is incredibly difficult.
Doug, please make sure to take care of yourself and you treat yourselves with the grace you show the missing and their families. What you are doing is an amazing gift to mankind, yet obviously it is emotionally taxing. Stay safe and srong... The missing need you! Thank you all AWP!
This is so amazing that everyone was able to work together to bring him home. But also so sad that law enforcement isn’t able to search like you guys do, i know they’re thankful you were there.
Hands down, the single best thing on UA-cam since you guys started years ago. I watch every video, cry with you guys and the families every time you find someone (and some times when you don't). I would say keep it up, but I know you all will. As long as you all post, you have a fan here. Much love to you guys, and most importantly Jimmy's friends and family, especially those two girls (women now) from the foothills of east Tennessee.
Doug, your compassion and respect for the deceased and his family were so incredibly felt. Your care and concern for all the involved parties in getting this recovery done speak volumes for your professionalism. I'm thankful that you and Anthony were not injured while diving in such dangerous conditions. Can't wait to see the final recovery of the vehicle.
Am not a social media person but what you guys at "Adventures with purpose" do is just awesome and appreciated. God bless your Noble vision and your doings.
Fantastic job Doug ,Anthony and crew. Kudos to law enforcement for being so helpful and respectful to your experience. Prayers for you all , and Jimmy's family.
I'll say it again. Warriors right there. Professional. The law enforcement was kind and everyone worked together. This is how we should all be and get jobs done and without fighting. I was watching when you guys were just cleaning waters and found your first missing that the family didnt even realize at the time. I'm so proud of you guys. I miss a few of the guys from the beginning but love you all. 😍
Condolences to Jimmy's Family and Friends. God Speed Jimmy Doug and crew did an amazing job and with the support of the police dept, fire department and coroner's office. Glad no egos got in the way of this recovery, it was great watching everyone work together and to solve the problems that came up. Great Work AWP
This is a heavy video and I’ve had heavy things happen to me. I’m so glad you brought the family closure and the police were so willing to work with you. I love watching your videos and it never fails to amaze me. On a happier note- at 34:54 that fish was just chilling. Maybe it was Jimmy thanking you, who knows :)
Doug, you have become such a great speaker, able to communicate with different people at the level they require, whether it be family or lead detectives. You explain things very well and professionally, inspiring confidence in you, just as Jared does. You are both amazing.
I feel that as an entity, providing a service to the public, and providing solace in some form of peace to a family, this has been one of the best received hand in hand "work withs", for a local department and this organization I have seen so far. I applaud the camaraderie that has transpired here in bringing a loved one, individual, a public servant, HOME. Period.
Doug, I absolutely love the way you speak to people, you have such a soothing way of explaining things, your words are very comforting! You sir have DEFINITELY found your calling! Bless you for being an angel on Earth! 🥰🙌🏼🙏🏼🕊😇
The utmost respect to everyone involved. I can’t begin to imagine doing what you all do but no amount of thanks could ever be given to such a team of experts called specifically for this purpose to give long awaited answers to families!
I’m amazed by the work, skills, and intelligence in how this case was handled by Adventure With Purpose team. I am glad the law enforcement put your team in from of this case and we’re willing to work for you instead of pushing you aside like other law enforcement has done in the previous investigation. My condolences to the whole family 💐 and my applause to you guys 👏🏻

As a whole, this case, this content…WOW. So methodical, logicical, professional and meticulous execution. . From the planning, the processes, the teamwork. Community collaboration and partnerships to bring this whole thing together and to a close. Just so impressed. The videography and editing too, flawless. Doug, you are excellent in these situations. You NEVER interject yourself or make any part of it about you and the team, you’re solely focused on helping. Extremely professional and well done 👍🏻
I’m sure the Ridley police department will watch this video and read these comments. I just wanted to say that this is how to properly respond when AWP informs you that they’ve found a vehicle with human remain. Too many times other departments have let their egos get in the way.
This is exactly how these types of operations should go. You’re an asset, a specialized tool, and the powers to be realized this and used you as they should. Great job by everyone!
The respect these men show the family’s in these tuff times is incredible. Doug is nothing but professional all the respect in the world goes out to the men.
I admire your team so much. From working in practically zero visibility to handling human remains with such dignity and respect to talking to the families and offering to help in any way you can is what really sets you apart as true professionals. Stay safe and keep improving going forward.
I learned a lot of new things in this episode. It was totally amazing how everyone pulled together to make this happen with no animosity or power struggle going on.
Truly a credit to their community/profession. The first officers/other jurisdiction personnel. That were there both days. Especially, officer Mark. I'm elated it was a communitive effort. To make the start of this recovery go as smoothly as it did. Hoping everything goes as well. With the rest of the recovery/investigation. So his family can have. All their questions answered and a proper resolution. My prayers are with the family. Especially, his children. It's a very difficult time for them. Fantastic job all AWP. Thank you! For always making it. About the missing and their families. R. I. P. James
Breaks my heart for his family, kids, wife. All the emotions and crazy mind games must have been played through all these years. Everyone can rest now. Thank you AWP.
@spencerkeegan, if you watched the various segments of the video you would know exactly why he likely didn’t swim out. Jimmy was an insulin dependent diabetic who had very good control of his diabetes but who would sometimes have instances of low blood sugar. When this happens, the person with diabetes can become very disoriented. They can also quickly become unconscious and slip into a coma. Quite likely Jimmy was already unconscious by the time his truck hit the water. Do you understand NOW why he wasn’t able to swim out of the vehicle?
@@sifter456 it could be possible that it broke when the pylon was drilling through the car. He was also diabetic, he was in a rush to pick his daughters up which he could of forgotten to check his levels. This would of made him severely unwell already and the shock from impact would of made matters worse.
If only all law enforcement you guys deal with could be as professional, courteous, appreciative and all the other adjectives I can't think of right now
Doug, I just wanted to say, your awesome man! You explained everything so thoroughly through out the finding and recovery of James. Watching you and your co - diver with the family was astonishing. The medical team, the fire department and police worked wonderfully together. My AWP hat's off to the whole team. God bless ya'll.
I literally don't know what I want to do with my life yet but every single one of these videos I watch I feel like I should be learning how to be a diver first off and helping somehow with these cases because we can't leave everything up to you guys even though you do so well you guys inspire me... Not only that but I've seen so many cases in Missouri my home state or close that I feel bad something more people aren't keeping an eye out for such simple things that can make a big difference in someone else's life
Anchored to a piling. Somethings are never done in error. Had he not been anchored, he may have never been found. He was being held for when the time was right. There was a purpose in this adventure, as painful as it is. Thank you for all you do and the love and mercy you have for our neighbors across the United States.
Absolutely.. I don't believe in coincidences. Everything happens for a reason.. This piling held the car in place so he could be found and not lost to the river.. Rest In Paradise Jimmy...
Are all 3 of you new to the channel? They say in 90% of their videos that a car will go under, float for a very short amount of time, drop to the bottom and stay there like a turtle with the water washing over and around it, but with the water in front being a force holding it in place. When a car goes under, they stay in the exact same spot they land. The piling did not do anything to assist here. That car was probably there for a few years before the piling even went in.
@@mohberly7353 The car was and you are right, once a car submerges it gets pinned there by the water and moves very little until it essentially becomes a rock. The company that put the pilings in for docking are supposed to electronically and visual survey scan the area they are working... clearly they did not. Their actions are not "Work of god" or "a blessing"... they were dangerous and hampered a recovery effort, costing others $1000's. If they had done their job correctly they would of found Jimmy earlier, bringing answers to family and law enforcement 15 years sooner.
I don't understand how the pylon drivers didn't notice the sudden hard spot that they hit. Do they not check the bottom of rivers or lakes to make sure it's clear? If not then they need to start.
This is extremely interesting enough to watch at least 2x. Videography is excellent, professional and clear audio. Doug’s diving buddy, Anthony, showed skill, concern and emotion. Congratulations on another cold case solved.
Watching the whole recovery process just tugged up my heart. This family is finally had closure of their loved one and AWP has made this possible for them. I have watched all of the vehicles they have found with loved ones in them and they were amazing with the recovery but this one here was beyond amazing. Doug my hat is off to you you did an amazing job with the help of the community the crane company also. For the barge company shame on you this was something of an importance but you know what they didn't need you I hope you can sleep well at night though for you guys wanting to charge such an astronomical amount to help recover if someone's loved one. AWP you are angels sent from God thank you for everything that you do the chances you take and doing this selflessly God bless all of you.
Doug does a GREAT job!! I’m so impressed with him!! He and Jared and the other crew members are truly amazing! We can’t thank you enough💓 Thank you to these men’s families for their sacrifice. It can’t be easy on them having their loved ones on the road. Thank you law enforcement for giving AWP the respect they deserve and letting them recover this man’s remains. Condolences to his family, I can’t imagine the pain and suffering they have endured for the last two decades. I have to comment on the amazing transformation of Doug. From tow truck driver to recovering lost loved ones is so refreshing to see. Good Job Doug and Anthony
I was thinking that when he was speaking with the supervisor and said “I’m the best…” he could well have added “and I have 20+ (?) years of experience in tow truck recovery “ (or whatever the best description is )
I love when law enforcement is beyond respectful to your team. I know that hasn’t always been the case in the past, but your team is so deserving of being appreciated for what you do. Doug, you are doing a great job being the lead role and you are a tremendous asset to AWP. Keep up the great work!
I am so impressed that Law Enforcement are working with Adventures with Purpose wonderfully. This is wonderful to have family and friends be able to lay Jimmy to rest.
Thank you for all you do. I discovered your channel a few weeks ago and joined today to help you keep doing what you do. I look forward to watching you continue to help loved ones.
If you haven't already, you should check out their other videos and the videos of a couple of other channels. A young lady who committed suicide was found about a week ago. All of the people doing this work are so professional and always thinking of the families first and foremost.
true, but I wish he might say "we" than "i" all the time, when Anthony was diving with him every step of the way - yes Doug is lead, but let's acknowledge the support of his colleague when speaking to LE and other outsiders.
It's crazy that this is in my area. I watch all these episodes, this one hits differently. Thanks AWP been a fan a long time, awesome to see Jimmy's home & that he wasn't forgotten after all these years.
This was the most professional recovery I have ever seen AWP has done a fantastic job respectful for family Doug you really put this recovery to the most amazing organized recovery Jarad must be so proud of you Doug and Anthony Be Safe God Bless You🙏💕
It’s nice to see Law enforcement being so humble and recognizing your expertise. True definition of work smarter not harder. It feels so good to see human beings caring so much about another human being, even if that person is deceased. So much respect.
Jimmy was a close friend.
We finally were able to Lay him to rest.
Thank you for finding him and bringing him home.
Long time
Rest in peace Jimmy 🙏
Im so glad you finally know where he is🙏🏻
May his memory be a blessing.
Condolences to his friends and to his family. I may have not known you but rest in peace sir may you coming home give your friends and your family the closure they all truly deserve.
Sorry about that. Life can be harsh sometimes. Hope it brings you all some peace.
I'm sorry for your loss Nick.
Exactly what I was thinking. So nice to see the local authorities embracing the experienced help offered by AWP.
100%. Marc was so sweet, making sure he was telling Doug “good job”. So amazing.
I may have missed an episode, but it seems that of all the recoveries that AWP has done- this was THE best collaboration with the local authorities. I was so impressed with the police acknowledging the expertise of AWP and considering their advice.
THIS ‼️🥰😘❤️😍👏🙏❤️
I never comment, but I CAN'T NOT when that detective was SO professional, respectful, and just awesome. So refreshing to see law enforcement value your skills appropriately.
I second this!
It's great when the recognize the talent in front of them and don't have to switch everything to "their guys" and trying to take credit. Refreshing.
exactly what I was thinking, truly a professional
totally. it was really all about the case and not a game of control and unnecessary suspicion.
i mean, the guys voulenteer to help, not to shame the police
Mutual respect, admiration of your skills, acknowledgement of your superior knowledge, so gratifying and satisfying to see!
As a fire chief I have to say that the professionalism of Adventures with Purpose is top notch, These guys and their crew are absolutely fantastic.
Maybe you should check with your local pd to see if the cases in your area and than notify AWP about it !
These guys are so awesome in every way
Thank you for your service, and Maybe they can help your town some day. Whether cleaning the water way or finding someone
Never seen someone be so confident in their abilities without being an asshole about it. Great work Doug and everyone on the team for this recovery.
Prayers for the family of James and everyone who is involved
I was thinking the same way. Everyone worked together as a team with no grand standing
Law enforcement were such a pleasure to work with anything we needed they got for us. The fire department was awesome let us stay in there parking lot that night got water from them for the RV and we're a great asset for this recovery thank you all for everything y'all did for us and this recovery
They were beautiful and very very kind to y’all all along
Happy to hear that you guys have do a great job bringing closure to families and also helped the law enforcement agencies solve cold cases.
I was surprised to see AWP in my hometown. I went to school.at Ridley Twp HS. It was nice to Ridley police department so respectful towards you guys. They are not always that way towards others. You guys are the best
As soon as I get my next disability check I will join to support their work. Congratulations you guys.
yep from what I see all the authorities that showed up seemed to be respectful and appreciative for a change!
Great job!
Doug is so professional and confident when talking to the law enforcement, yet so humble. So amazing to watch him command the scene.
So well said great guy , has everything in order , Doug remarkable man to do such a difficult task.
Barely even referring to notes. These guys are evidently so passionate about what they do it's inspiring and beautiful to watch and support.
Outstanding truly.
yeah. I wish I was as perfect as he is its is all IIIII
@Camille Dammasch you could say a lot about him but humble wouldn’t be one. “I’m the best in the world”, “I don’t make mistakes”. He has just a touch of douchebaggery.
@@stewartj3407 I agree; his comment that he would make zero mistakes and there was “zero risk” made me scoff.

I am very glad that they were able to help your family and bring Jimmy home! I hope this brought your family some closure. Best wishes for your family's future!
I’m so sorry for your family’s loss. It is very apparent that Jimmy was well loved.
I give the utmost respect to that cop for acknowledging the fact that he hasn’t ever done this and looked to you Doug for your knowledge!!
Absolutely agreed!! That was nice to see.
That officer had humility. An example of how every LEO should strive to conduct themselves. Exemplary level of professionalism.
My son paid for my membership with AWP as a Mother's Day gift. I'm so proud to be a small part of AWP so you can continue helping the families of the missing. Sending you all love & hugs from Virginia Beach. ❤️

Loved the way law enforcement allowed them to take lead as they were the experts here. No ego no embarrassment just working together to bring this man home to his family ❤
I love the detective and the cop. Doug is a smart dude. They seemed like an AMAZING PD to work with.
They dont normally but someone had to and the examiner couldnt do it. Doug is a stroung man to have got thru that.
They literally uncover these graves and then get the investigation open again at that point. These findings are interesting to see the start of closure.
You should watch the Carrie Mae videos
@@mohberly7353 I watched that one, and Doug and Jared took that one with the upmost respect to the family. I remember them saying that she does belong in a grocery bag.
I thought they would just put a air bag half inside the window and then inflate it to block the window area and then lift the car so that nothing would come out, but obviously there is some problem with that .
Shout out to the Ridley Township PD for being some of the most cooperative and respectful group of LE I’ve ever witnessed. I’ve worked in the field for over 20 years, and can’t say the same about some. Great job to AWP and RTPD 👏🏻
Doug operates like a true professional. I think he’s found his calling. Hats off to you sir!
The world needs more people cooperating together like this turned out. What a sign of professionalism from all involved.
Absolutely Diane
I would like to add a giant "Thank You" to Josh, Carson and all who were involved in the final production of this segment. Photography, music, compiling, editing, etc. was all done extremely well. I appreciate the entire AWP team, their families, and all those agencies providing their support to your efforts. May God Bless you All.
I was happy to see that law enforcement was open to cooperating and not defensive. A professional operation from all fronts. I feel so badly for his family.
They do a fabulous job and it definitely adds value to the video
TEAM AWP ROCKS!!!
👏🏽 outstanding job by the whole team!!
I second, third and fourth this comment! Very damn well said! Well done!!
RIP
So did I, RIP Jimmy can now be finally laid to rest by his love ones xo
It was a very refreshing change (sure they’ve had ok interactions before, but this was such a welcoming experience for the crew), it would be great if the guys from this municipality would spread the word and give professional references to AWP and the rest of the crew so maybe it would open more doors around the country.
It’s also heartbreaking that so many of us feel this way just bc LE are being nice people
This case is unbelievable.

Doug has been a big help.
Imagine for so many years, as long as the docks have been there, that pleasure boaters are pulling up at that dock to have a meal and drinks at the restaurant.
Gosh! That's terrible! How could he do that over an argument? We've been married 55 years and had lots of arguments!

So nice that this police department was so good to you all and truly appreciate you guys. Keep up the great work
I’m sure the Ridley police department will watch this video and read these comments.
What a great job, his daughters have been waiting for this answer. Daddy didn't leave because he wanted to. Thank you AWP!!!
I disagree. If the driver side window is down why didn't he just try too swim out?? Makes no sense...
@@kisscustomcreations Agree. This breaks my heart. My daughter had been Type1 diabetic since 6yrs old. This is one of my worst nightmares.
@@sifter456 if he was in a diabetic emergency, he probably was unable to grasp the severity of the situation.
What you do is amazing…..what a true blessing your team is.
If only all law enforcement you guys deal with could be as professional, courteous, appreciative and all the other adjectives I can't think of right now
Jared, look what you've done. Something tells me we're going to see many, many more AWPs around the world. Love you all!
Well Jared has done a great job in mentoring Doug . We need replicas of both of them now 🤧🤧
Jared started AWP, didn't he?
Doug, I just wanted to say, your awesome man! You explained everything so thoroughly through out the finding and recovery of James. Watching you and your co - diver with the family was astonishing. The medical team, the fire department and police worked wonderfully together. My AWP hat's off to the whole team. God bless ya'll.
I love it when the police dept works with you guys. Everyone is on the same page and doing what’s right for the family. ❤️
I literally don't know what I want to do with my life yet but every single one of these videos I watch I feel like I should be learning how to be a diver first off and helping somehow with these cases because we can't leave everything up to you guys even though you do so well you guys inspire me... Not only that but I've seen so many cases in Missouri my home state or close that I feel bad something more people aren't keeping an eye out for such simple things that can make a big difference in someone else's life
Well done. Awesome that you could give closure to the family. Your Oregon crew really steps up to plate as this was an above and beyond job. Kudos
Anchored to a piling. Somethings are never done in error. Had he not been anchored, he may have never been found. He was being held for when the time was right. There was a purpose in this adventure, as painful as it is. Thank you for all you do and the love and mercy you have for our neighbors across the United States.
Exactly !! Well said .
I agree. This is my third time watching. 😂
That had to be the best recovery ever, Doug and Anthony showed such professionalism with everyone involved. Kudos to you both guys! 😘😘🙏🏻🙏🏻🙌🏼🙌🏼
Why wasn't the water checked b4 the pylon was poured?
Doug does a GREAT job!! I’m so impressed with him!!
He and Jared and the other crew members are truly amazing! We can’t thank you enough💓
Thank you to these men’s families for their sacrifice. It can’t be easy on them having their loved ones on the road.
Thank you law enforcement for giving AWP the respect they deserve and letting them recover this man’s remains.
Condolences to his family, I can’t imagine the pain and suffering they have endured for the last two decades. May they find some peace in laying their loved one to rest and knowing what happened to him. Such a tragedy😓
Bless you Doug and the crew. Condolences to Jimmy's family. Rest in peace.
To have to recover the remains is something on another level. Utmost respect to the professionalism of The AWP team and local authorities. Be safe.
Good Lord gave y’all a gift, gift of answering questions and bringing families of those lost back together again. Y’all are such amazing people, keep up the hard work and keep brining the lost back.
You guys have such an impressively tight operation. I can't help but be in awe and filled with pride for these wonderful men who are true role models for the next generation. Well done yet again Adventures with Purpose!!
Doug, you truly stepped up and handled this entire case in the best way possible. And I am also incredibly impressed with how open the local authorities were. A textbook example of how all police department should work you with you guys.
So impressed with everything you do. Another family now knows that they were loved and not abandoned.
This was the most professional recovery I have ever seen AWP has done a fantastic job respectful for family Doug you really put this recovery to the most amazing organized recovery Jarad must be so proud of you Doug and Anthony Be Safe God Bless You🙏💕
Detectives are amazing. How respectful and attentive to the family they were. Very professional and a credit to their dept.
It’s nice to see Law enforcement being so humble and recognizing your expertise. True definition of work smarter not harder. It feels so good to see human beings caring so much about another human being, even if that person is deceased. So much respect.
