First look at the GFX100 II. We got our hands on the new GFX100 II and we were blown away at what this medium format camera offers, especially in the video department. Our videographer, Bradford, put the camera to the test, and by the end of it all, he became a GFX100 II fanboy. Once everything was said and done we realized we accidentally made a Barbenheimer-themed fashion montage.
Let us know what you think about this new camera in the comments!

I want ! Medium Format size video so nice . Wider angles that have a normal field of view. That’s what I like .
Finally, someone sees this advantage ....I see so many youtubers pretending like medium format is a scam... the wider views one of the biggest advantages
Love fuji cameras , one step betond
How is the AF? can this be used in a run and gun wedding situation? How does it handle on a rs3 pro gimbal?
Thanks for the question. Bear in mind ours was not the final firmware but I would say the AF was pretty good from our experience, but we didn't thoroughly test it. We didn't mention this but it does have a touch screen for choosing focus. How it will handle that in a group I don't know. It also has a few manual focus assists like peaking an focus magnification if you prefer that. It is a very big camera so bear that in mind when loading on a gimbal, but we used the rs3 pro and it seemed to work like a charm. Hope that helps!
is it true that there is a 20fps cropped/electronic shutter mode for continuous stills? Some reviews have mentioned it, despite it not being in the spec sheet.
We didn't see that as an option, but it's not something we were looking for.
@@Pictureline it's worth finding out, IMO -- I have a GFX and never use it cropped, but I animate continuous stills quite a bit and 10-20fps would previously require a second camera capable of that. But this would mean that the GFX has a FF/fast FPS camera built into it.
How is the rolling shutter?
Thanks for the question! We didn't do any serious tests but with it being a very large sensor, the rolling shutter was a consideration when using flashing lights and doing things like whip pans. The black and white footage you saw was in 60p slowed to 24p in post and it worked much better for the flashing lights. You can probably expect to see more rolling shutter in this than a standard full frame or crop sensor camera if you are using the full sensor. Nearly every shot that ended up in the video was using the full sensor width, so I would say it was very manageable. The only thing we did cut because of rolling shutter was a very fast whip pan. This was of course a pre-production model so final results may be different. We hope to do a full in-depth review soon. Hope this helps!
Nice video... promising camera. But please put the gimbal on follow next time....
The lady looks like gal gadot
Or buy a black magic 6k and shoot RAW for $2,500😑
Blackmagic is inferior. Not even a good comparison.
