I have an old picco evo 2 that I’m rebuilding because it’s summer break for me and I’m getting a bit bored so I decided to restore it as a little project. All it needs is con rod bushings and front and rear bearings. Been watching these videos to learn the bits and pieces of nitro motors better. I’m finding these super helpful. The engine was still running but, since it’s old, the corrosion of the rear bearing was killing plugs left and right and the worn out con rod bushing was making it super noisy during startup. Hopefully after rebuild the motor runs smooth and I can have it as a solid backup motor

Unless you are really talented you need to replace the rod. Make sure the crank is not worn too much because if the rod is worn usually the crank is also.

@@TheRwmods for sure. I plan on getting a new con rod as a whole because I’m not sure how difficult it’d be to replace just the bushing. Other than that the motor was fine. Still had really good compression and ran fine

Great video rick 👍👍i got a motor from you last year modded 28-8 things a beast only got a les than a gallon through it love that bearing tool gotta get my hands on one!!! So basically to avoid crank and piston rod damage you recommend using engin heater , and changing out the bearings just looking for some advice try to keep her healthy and strong thanks

Do you need to change the export on your video to 16:9 instead of 4:3 to get rid of the black bars and it would massively improve the quality.
