A stomping ground after class in my university days. Lived on Taft Avenue. Missing Makati. Thanks for showing the "now" Makati. Enjoy & stay safe. 😊🎉🐈👌
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching 😁
Wow it's empty! Nice area ur st. Thanks for giving us a tour 😊
because it's hot. More people are out in the evening, especially in BGC. Makati is an old area already
It's hot in the PHilippines right now. People usually go out starting 5 PM onward.
It's past 1 PM as shown in the clock.... It's so hot. Nobody goes out at this time of the day in the Philippines.
Thank you too
This is the time of the year when many Expats and local Filipinos who stay in Manila, go to cooler mountain towns like Tagaytay, about 2 hours from Manila or Baguio which, depending on the speed, takes anywhere from 4 - 6 hours. I would suggest that you stay in a hostel or an Air BNB for a few days, to really get to explore and enjoy your destination. That is, unless you don’t mind traveling much further to beaches or other islands.
Yeah, should have planned better. I love Manila and the people here but it is so hot right now!
Because it's summer season in Philippines right now dude.
Makati: Am Amazing!
BGC: ..hmm..Watch me!
Bgc is the most modern part of metro manila
Injoy and safe bro welcome to the Philippines 🇵🇭🎉
Thank you 😊
The park is almost empty. Where are the Filipinos? Clean city. Enjoy your stay.
It's hot in the PHilippines right now. People usually go out starting 5 PM onward.
Thank you! Yeah it's very hot right now 🔥
no one wants to get roasted outside due to heatwaves all over Asia now.
@@TravelingSoloLogs We experienced heat wave not seen in the history of Metro Manila. Bangkok is also experiencing the same.
Welcome and Mabuhay
I ❤ Manila
I am from Sydney Australia and must say Sydney is very green !
Would love to visit as well! 😁
Welcome to philippines 💙
Thank you for the warm welcome 😁
Great choice to visit the Philippines. Looks like you've gained lots of new followers😊 Do visit the islands🙏
Thank you, I will try! 😃
That Chapel in Greenbelt Park has been there since there was only one Greenbelt Mall (GB1 now) and the rest were small independent strip malls surrounding one big parking lot which is now the “courtyard” you walk on.
I was just in the Philippines a few days ago and heard from the locals that the jeepneys might be phased out soon, which I think is bittersweet.
Make sure to try the local foods in Salcedo Market if you're still in Makati this weekend. :)
Thanks for the suggestion, I was just there, they had some tasty food
Not exactly phased out. But improved
@@jpespinosa4539 interesting - I'll be sure to keep an eye on how things develop
@@jpespinosa4539 how has it improved?
Nice video good city, not crowded as I thought.
It is crowed but unfortunately it is very hot right now 🔥🔥🔥
Enjoy your stay here in P.I.
Tour not just Luzon but also Visayas & Mindanao areas. Stay safe & hydrated. 🎉
Try to visit at BGC Taguig...
Thank you, kabayan, for correctly promoting BGC. Indeed, BGC is in TAGUIG.
So many irresponsible vloggers here keep calling everything manila just because they're walking on concrete. Cringe.
Nice.
Welcome to my Humble country Sir! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you for watching 😊
Visit BGC / Bonifacio Global City .
Will do sir 😁
Welcome to Philippines, enjoy your stay and be safe, visit also Venice mall,BGC and mall of asia
Thank you so much!
LMAO I love the fact that you showed the CARA sign and said "do not pet the cats" then immediately pet the closet cat!
Haha, I couldn't resist the cat 😺😂
Theres a museum there called Ayala museum and you'll see the Philippines archeological gold. The Filipino ancestors wore so much gold the Philippines was known before the colonial periods as the isles of gold and it has the most number of archeological gold if not in asia atleast in south east Asia
Thank you for sharing! :)
Shout out my friend 😁😅 nice friend
I love Ayala Malls... they advocate on nature preservation and animal care
Awesome! 😎
Check out Alabang area and for staycation during weekend Tagaytay, La Union and other nearby provinces of Manila have nice resorts🥰
Thanks for the tips!
Nice video as always.. U also inspired me to travel .. I dont know why but as a muslim ,, i am a lil bit scared to travel to other country 😅
Don't be scared, go for it! We only have one life to live! 😃
Welcome to my humble country.
Thank you :)
Looks like you found a decent area to film at Solomon. Only thing I recommend to eat at Jollibee are the fried chicken dipped in gravy and some steamed rice. The spaghetti like you said , is just way too sweet and served with hot dogs. Honestly I've been there many times to visit in laws and never liked any of their food as compared to other countries lol..too much poverty but the people are very nice.
Wow you have some family here! chicken and gravy sounds delicious!😁 Yes, I totally agree that the people are one of the friendliest but unfortunately there is some poverty here.
My observations: 1) the PH is a “newly” a developing country. Started to improved around 7/8 yrs ago after almost 70 yrs of corruptions. The country itself is a rich in natural resources but politics destroyed. Middle income was removed. At these stage the government focused on the infrastructures all on major cities in the PH, highways and roads, social welfares, education etc, over populated that ends up a social problem. Small businesses needed to be transported from the towns, provinces to the cities etc. You knew it well.
Once these are done then lots of poor people can benefit with more jobs offers. Other islands like Cebu already had a blueprint for slums to be relocated to housing projects. Remember it’s in the early stage as a developing country.
2) foods : the first taste is not as tasty as other Asian countries but it’s an acquired taste. Once you love it, it will keep with you and always long for it. No matter where you go. If you like to appreciate Filipino food first go to an authentic ones, not the instants sidewalk eatery. If possible check from a real noted good restos but bit expensive. Take note: different islands have different specialties. I’m a Filipina and I can see the difference. Mostly Luzons love sweets, so most of the foods have that some sweetness. Visayas and Mindanao are more on salty types. Thank you.
@@marierocher4422 I am married to a Filipina. We have been back many times. I agree with you, the only good food are found in good restaurants. Home cooking usually involves lots of Magic Sarap for most Filipinos, so it's full of bad ingredients. Cooking at home are best so I can choose what I want in there. I agree with your point regarding corruption and infrastructures. I prefer the provinces where things are a lot quieter and peaceful for me. Stay blessed 🙏
@@brucewayne2773 yes that’s what I noticed. I don’t when the magic sarap started as I left the PH many years way back. I visited again the Philippines when my mom decided to go back home some years ago too. Although we never used msg or magic sarap. I grow up where my dad ( Chinese / Spanish) emphasized a real good cooking than fancy clothes. We ate different varieties of home cooked and particular with the timing and cooking. So when I watched foreign travelers comments on disgusting taste I just ignore as I know they have no idea where to go. They can check food travel guide if they wish to taste the real one. But watching them eating from carenderia sidewalk I’m not surprised. Not belittling the carenderia but they need income. Given a chance these carenderia can cook good food if they have the opportunity.
The Philippines is not a pure Asians but a 100% melting pot even during pre colonials. Each ethnicities plus different colonizers borrowed food and improvised. That’s the beauty of the melting pot environment and tolerant. Happy and welcoming. 😊👍. Blessings to your families too. Hope I can visit sooner after the hate wave. 😊
Sweet cat
Filipino style spaghetti is sweet w/ siices of hotdog n a sprinkling of cheddar cheese...
It's tasty, need to hot sauce to put some more fire on it 🔥
Beautiful quiet place you're at❤ enjoyed watching
Glad you enjoyed
Stay safe sir
Thank you 😊
Very nice
So nice
People don't go out from 10 AM to 4 PM. It's hot in PH. Try to be in those places like the one you visited and BGC from 5 PM onward to the evening. You'll see many friendly people.
I will try my best but unfortunately it doesn't give me too much time to record during the day
Welcome to the Philippines:) new subs here:)

Wasalam, thank you for the information! I will definitely go to that area! 😃
Actually the sim card with data in the airport is cheaper for me. It lasts 30 days, which perfect for a month stay.
Really? Maybe for a month stay it's okay. Bit for less than a month it's a rip off
I like this video Masha Allah brother.
Thank you 😁
In my humble opinion you've missed two of Jolly-bee's must have desert.. the apple/peach pie & the Halo-halo.. 🤗😋🥰
I need to try it next time 😉
No Way!!! I'm currently in Makati as well until may 8th then I fly out to Cebu for some island hopping! How long are you gonna be in PH for? If you need some ideas or would like to make a video hit me up lets make it happen!
Cool, you're here too! I'm not here for too long, till next week! I'll let you know if I'm free!

Hello, just to correct you. Remittances from overseas Filipinos are not the top source of income of the country. In 2023, the country received US$33 Billion mostly from USA and Canada.
However, total trade exports US$103 Billion in 2023. Top export is still electronics. Business Process Outsourcing, US$36 Billion.
Thank you for the information. What I met is there are a lot of Filipinos working overseas 😃
@@TravelingSoloLogs Yes.. there are so many of my countrymen. I subscribed to your vlog. Keep happy.

metal utensils in Jollibee are not served at the counter you must take them in in their gondola or kiosk. But you may ask for disposable ones at the counter. You may also try grilled roasted chicken like Mang Inasal.
I got to try that chicken! Thanks for the info!
Stop using plastic. Haven't you heard enough about climate change and the insurmountable garbage problem?. Can't you do even just a bit of sacrifice to help?
It is abnormally hot this year!

Alhamdulilah
@spidyman8853 - omg! there u are again insisting ur beliefs to others, the name is respect, to each his own the reason why u always clash with other religionsvu do not know how to respect other people.
@@Jojo-hh9ed thats what many muslims do. i was born muslim, i left it and became a humanist. everything was a 'sin' or 'forbidden'/haram'; there are soo many 'mahilig makisawsaw' people who try to get all up in your business. people show off how 'religious' they are but all do haram things indoors, then they try to shame or get others into trouble by making 'sipsip'. it sucks. freedom of conscience isnt a thing.
GO TO BGC, YOU WILL BE SURPRISE!
Jollybee is from philippines , but it is western food.
True, but it is tasty 😜
Is Jollibee halal?
Some outlets are

You just read a sign saying please don't pet or pick up the cats and bent down and petted a cat 🤨
haha, the cat asked to be petted before the video :D
Just piece of advice don't turn your camera during recording quick sharp turns, it hurts our head when we watch. I know people like to watch your videos but they can't finish the video for this reason
Hey, thanks for the tip I appreciate it! I have to keep that mind! Thanks for always watching brother 😃
That country it’s super hot..aren’t those guards hot with that uniform?
I guess they are used to it
Because it's summer season in Phillippines right now unti May and when it June the weather is changing in Ph and become cooler
Video title should be, " Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines"
Or more correctly, "Makati, NCR, Philippines".
"Makati" is not a mere "district" (per your description). It's a actual autonomous city by itself no less valid than Manila.
"Metro Manila" is a region. "Manila" is just one of many cities in it. "Makati" is also a city -- about the same size as Manila and just as valid with its own city charter. No one calls the region simply as "Manila". Always it is "METRO Manila" for the region: two words but together one name like "New York", "South Korea" and "Kuala Lumpur". In fact, even "Metro Manila" is obsolete. It was renamed to "NCR" way back 1978 precisely to distinguish manila from the other cities /LGU's in the region. "Manila" is just that small city on the western edge of the NCR. Everything else is NOT manila anymore.
Thanks for sharing, I wish you were with me in every video to explain these details to people around the world 🌎😃
@@TravelingSoloLogs Or... be responsible to do research about the country you visit so you know how to name your locations properly and behave when you get there -- esp if you plan to make videos about it. That's traveler etiquette. It's not hard to do. We have Google.
BGC is the best place, not Makati because it's old. BGC is more modern.😊
Gotta check out BGC 😃
@@TravelingSoloLogs you can also check out Eastwood city. A little version but pretty and Pasay city where all fancy casinos and the SM Mall of Asia are located. Newport city is also worth visiting. Intramurus also and the adjacent river esplanade 😊
