Its funny when he said USA - United Squatters Area haha.. Squatters are the people living in slums so it can also be called United Slums Area haha. But the government is already preparing for their relocation as part of the rehabilitation and restoration of Intramuros. At least that is what I heard and knew so a tourist spot like Intramuros could be finally free of slums.
Jose Rizal is considered as the national hero in the Philippines. Instead of fighting the Spanish through violence, he fought them by writing the 2 novels (Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo) that exposes the abuses of the Spaniards in the Philippines. He was the inspiration of the Philippine revolutionaries that led to the Philippine Revolution of 1896.
Even though Rizal was not part of that armed revolution and in fact was against it, he was arrested as the Spanish thought that he was the one behind it. He was executed on December 30, 1986 by firing squad in Luneta but before that, he marched from Fort Santiago to Luneta for his execution (there is a trace made inside Fort Santiago of his footsteps). If you also noticed in Luneta Park/Rizal Park, the big monument there was Jose Rizal.
Hey thanks for watching and the info! Yeah, haha it was pretty funny when he said USA I was confused
I hope your next destination is Bangladesh🥰🇧🇩
ewwww, yuck
Nice city. How was your stomach feeling after having the ice cream? 🤪
Haha It felt dirty 😂 just kidding it was fine 😃
its philippines not india.
your tour guide is not very well informed about intramuros 😌
He said he was a local 😁
Bro, pronounce words correctly!
He tried his best
@@TravelingSoloLogs I was talking about you.
Correction: 400 years of Spanish colony not 333 years.
Really, online it says different
@@TravelingSoloLogs 333 years is correct. Philippines has been a Spanish colony from 1565 to 1898
Nice
Thanks
