  • Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Join me on an incredible cultural adventure as I take my American friends to the breathtaking National Mosque of Malaysia! 🌍 In this vlog, we delve into the rich history, stunning architecture, and serene atmosphere of one of Malaysia's most iconic landmarks.
👫 Watch as my friends experience the beauty of Islamic art and design, and learn about the significance of the National Mosque in Malaysia's cultural tapestry. The mosque, officially known as Masjid Negara, was inaugurated in 1965 and stands as a symbol of the country's commitment to Islam. Its modernist design incorporates traditional Islamic elements, creating a harmonious blend of the old and the new.
🕌 Explore the intricate details of the mosque's interior, adorned with beautiful calligraphy, geometric patterns, and symbolic motifs. Learn about the importance of the 73-meter-high minaret and the unique umbrella-like roof, which symbolizes the aspirations of an independent nation.
🤝 As we wander through the expansive courtyard, you'll witness the serene beauty of the reflecting pools and the lush garden, creating a peaceful oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of Kuala Lumpur. The mosque can accommodate up to 15,000 worshippers and is not only a place of prayer but also a cultural hub that welcomes visitors from all walks of life.
🌐 Whether you're a travel enthusiast, culture lover, or simply curious about different parts of the world, this video is for you! Join us on this immersive experience and discover the beauty of Malaysia's National Mosque.

National Mosque is closed to visitors during praying hours. But there are 2 mosques which you could enter and watch prayers which are Masjid Wilayah and Masjid Putra.
    Some additional points
    1. The extended part of the mosque (linked by a bridge) is actually a masoleum, reserved to rulers or prime ministers of the country.
    2. The old building across the road is main railway station built by the british (they needed trains to transport tins and rubber etc back to the UK. The rails connect direct to the port). The KL Sentral railway hub is less than a mile away.
    3. The fountains in the mosque was design to aid with cooling around the area since in 1960s airconditioning system was not available yet, or as wide.

Hi guys..the 1.35 - the old building that you were pointing at, was once The Malayan Railroad Admin building (KTM-Keretapi Tanah Melayu -1957-1970's)- I guess that was after Malaysia got its Independence ...but way back before that it could be the building of the British-Malaya transport Administrative ...but not sure of that.

Biggest mosque to date: Masjid Al Haraam Mecca Saudi Arabia
Second Masjid Al Nabawi Madina KSA.
Where kids ( and adults as well ) learn Quran memorization is called Madresa or just school. Beginners learn from a small booklet called a Quida in Arabic and as the gain fluency move onto the Quran. Islam, the fast growing religion in the world. Br. Solo I hope your friends embrace Islam soon!

    UNDERRATED LANDMARK IN KUALA LUMPUR
tourists/ travelers tend to miss National Mosque because they are TOO FOCUSED on chinese/indian temple, rather than the majority mosque in Greater KL area
The design of the roof of our national mosques are inspired by an umbrella (main dome; open umbrella, minaret; closed umbrella shape)
Dont get me started on the mosque of EVERY STATES in Malaysia🇲🇾, there’s a lot of it, blend in with LOCAL ARCHITECTURE, olders than the colonial era, before British even bring Chinese & Indian migrants workers🤗
