I have a big stik, 40 size. Built 10 years ago, from a nitro design, by a friend i used to fly nitro with, converted to electric. (Before our field shut down, 20 years ago.) ALL wood. Sweeeeeeet flying bird. Heavy, but great on 4s. AND, i absolutely love my nx8! 👍😁
Lately, that friend began flying with US again! 👋👋👋
Beautiful Balsa plane I remember when it was called the ugly stick took gas I used to fly growing up took about six rubber bands to hold down the wings everything has changed.have a wonderful blessed week

It's good to see Captain Blaz in front of the camera I too love ultra sticks it is a great flying plane I can teach a new person how to fly on one of those. Even though pilot Robert said he wasn't going to talk too much he still babbling we love pilot Robert babbling he can't stop babbling there's no way. Big salute to Captain Hubbard and big salute to you two I can't wait for the video of the man dis will be unbelievable.

Nice balsa bird. cool radio, its party time at the airfield with the fancy hangar ultra stick! I have the great planes ugly stick in red and white, I glued my tail feathers and my wings just to be safe. but the assembly is the exact same with little bolts holding the tail feathers on. Time to rock and roll! Big salute!

Stick planes are the perfect model. Easy to fly. But also capable of 3d maneuvers for the more experienced pilot.
And The BIG wing chord allowes you to literally slow them down to a crawl for short field landing's..

Ah yes, l too remember the UGLY STICK, it was a great trainer plane for me back in the early 1960s, l loved that plane. This one is beautifully built with some nice engineering. Thanks for sharing, be nice to see a video of you flying it soon.

I've got the NX8 and feel it is a very good radio. The WiFi feature which makes software updates a piece of cake.

Nice plane, I love the "Stick" models. I have currently a DX6 and was thinking of getting a DX9 like Pilot Robert's as well. I also have a vintage 90's Futaba FM Conquest 72 MHz 4-channel I bought brand new almost 30 years ago that still works great.

Finally a move to the Spektrum transmitter, it does make sense. Now you can share some planes very easily and of course the smart technology is very interesting. And if used with the original receivers the chances of a brownout are really low for sure.
The Ultra Stick will be ready very quickly and then hopefully we can see another maiden video.
In the end, balsa planes are the best flying pleasure.

Greetings from Australia, enjoyed the unboxing video, as usual.
Have previous (kit) version with OS 62v 4 stroke (.46 2 stroke equiv), flying aerobatics on half throttle,
so E-flite 50 should be good. Tried OS 91 4 stroke, (went like a bat out off hell), had to fly on 1/8 throttle.
Airframe exactly same, except colour, (orange to yellow), bolt on tail feathers and 2 piece wing.

I am very impressed with this plane. It comes with a premium price but so do luxury vehicles. It’s either this or Viper 90mm EDF jet for me next. But I also like the OMPHOBBY Challenger PNP which is similar and less than $200.

Generally, IF the control surfaces have masking tape on them, the hinges are NOT glued. If its like every other good plane manufacturer. Definitely yank on em & be sure!!!

But i do not like foam or electric. Just doesnt give me the passion i feel when i hear and smell that glow nitro and 4 stroke engines.

}:-( well, it's happened, you have gone over to the dark side! SPEKTRUM!! The evil makers of unaffordable RC equipment! All but their most basic radios are well over $200. Liked it better when you reviewed the everyday regular radios, like the Orange I saw you guys had awhile back, kind of sorry I bought it now, instructions are terrible and the biggest pain in the ass to program!
Oh well, guess I'll just have to cover my eye when THE SPEKTRUM is on the screen! lol
