No, I am not a professional reviewer. In fact, I am an amateur when it comes to product reviews. Yes, I was a bit dramatic, and the review may seem inaccurate to some. However, the product really does not function as intended. None of the faults were exaggerated or embellished. The bottom line is: The best way to digitize a cassette is to buy a cassette recorder, AUX cable, and a PC with a line in port. All you need to do then is fire up Audacity, plug in the cassette deck and AUX cable, hit record, and you're in business.
This video showcases the Blumway Cassette to digital converter, which can be found on Amazon for about 30 Dollars. Is it worth the money? Stay tuned and find out!

I loved this video so much. I'm watching it here in South Australia. That sort of stuff happens to me all the time. Your comments caused by the frustration of the thing not recording, had me in stitches! Thanks for brightening my day. 😅

It is usually a good idea to read the manual rather than relying on ego. These generic "converters" allow 3 transfer modes but are generally mechanically poor so there is unacceptable wow and flutter. Inserting a USB pen drive does not work as there is no driver interface.

Don't forget, there is no speaker involve...you have to attach an extended speaker and/or the headphones to hear it.

To be fair the best way to digitize cassettes is to use a 3.5mm audio cable that you can buy for $1, and plug one end into your walkman and the other into your PC recording with something like audacity.

Look at the way the cassette tape is moving first. That was your problem not the thumb drive. It may not say that in the instructions, but you should have looked at the tape anyway. Not all tape players go the same direction when playing.

It's a pause/record button. One tap is pause. Hold it down to record.

I hope this works without issues like recording from my old tape cassettes onto a CD disk but if others have good luck then that is great.

"You have to coverup the tabs (the 2 rectangular holes on top of the cassette on at each end) using scotch tape on top of the Pre-recorded cassette, they did this in the old days to stop people from recording it" Blank cassettes always had those rectangular holes covered with plastic removeable tab, so after you record your tape on both sides, remove the tabs, so no one records over the tape. that's why our teacher can't record because he has to cover the tabs......I don't know if this is Answer ?? I want to purchase this machine but, but, but I want it to work before I buy it
