This video is the best for this issue. None of the other videos show how to remove the old - they just say remove it.
thanks👍🏻
I CANNOT thank you enough for this. A few years ago, I had a guy install pipe insulation at the bottom of the door and continued to do so over the years. I had no idea there was a better way. Just bought the rubber seal and successfully installed it.
I’m glad it helped out!!!! Subscribe for the next one👍🏻👍🏻
The slabs, for my two car garage, are lower at the sides. A standard 2" door seal leaves a gap. I bought the 6" seal, which ensures a good seal at the ends. Silicon spray ensured it was easy to slide. While it would be easier with two people. One person can do this.
I have to say that I found it much easier to remove the bottom rail, clean it thoroughly and then slide in the new bottom seal, then reinstall the bottom rail back to the garage door. Took about 20 minutes to do!
Loved this video. Many ‘that’s what she said’ opportunities
Thanks👍🏻👍🏻
Yes, this is what I need. Some doors have the screws and mine does not. Thank you!
Anytime Johnny👍🏻
This should be on America’s Funniest Videos
12 minutes ALONE this is soooo easy
Thanks for the video and the extra GS video at the end. I miss my Shepard. Great dogs. 👊😃

I like the "real talk" Sounds like my brother! lol
Thanks cuz. Subscribe for more👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you. Easy enough. I'm going to give it a try Why do some people disengage the door? Is it necessary?
Not sure why. I just stop it halfway so I can work on it. Makes it easier for me to reach. Just make sure nobody hits the button when your replacing it. As for disengaging it you would then need to rest it on something in order to pull the new one thru. Seems harder that way. Good luck👍🏻
Instead of that flat seal that you form into a U shape, what do you think of replacing it with the type with the same U shape but has an O tube through the middle and length of it?
Bought one on Amazon with that and the piece that goes into the rails is way to soft of rubber to get into the tracks
Thank you what a great job.
Thanks pal👍🏻
Great video. Thank you!
Thank you very much Jerry!! If you haven’t subscribed go for it bro. Thanks again
Sunny is da man!!!
Another great video thanks for sharing
Steve Cooper thank you for watching 👍👍
Thank you, so much.
Good luck Grace👍🏻
Good job
Mine has one slit i can't find which seal i need
I seen were you let your door flatten the rubber piece. Think when I install mine I’ll get the door to stop about 1/2” from grounding out the rubber seal. Thoughts?
This particular job had an uneven ground so it had to go a little bit lower on one side than the other. If you have a level base it’s still OK to let it sit snug to keep air and any kind of critters out. They’re so inexpensive you can replace them every so many years. Good luck
@@HighRidgeHandyman thanks
I have bought two new pieces and both times have failed. Have even used WD-40 but cannot get it to slide in, it’s sooo tough!
Never had an issue installing them. Try to feed it slow. Always easier to have someone feeding it while you pull it across. Make sure it’s chest level when Installing. Good luck
Check the channel width. I bought a replacement from Home Depot and it wouldn’t fit. Found out the t was 5/16” but my channel was 1/4”. Had to order some online.
thanks
Is swearing needed when you replace it?
Unfortunately sometimes it is.
😂😂😂
Run some piping through the new gasket that will seal off the low spots
You just need a wider one. Perhaps 6 inch
Not sure they have a larger size. I’ll check for the next one. Thanks LG👍🏻
look at that garage. how do people live like this
They recently moved in. The inside of that place could definitely be in magazines. Top notch👍🏻
You can adjust the garage door opener limits to make a tighter seal
Of course.👍🏻 The newer seals also work good on uneven flr
Bada bing, bada boom! 😂
👍🏻
Can I get the Amazon link?

Yeah not easy at all. mine has roller mount plates on both sides that wrap around and block the track and the tension cable is attached to said plate...
Do you have the desired rubber width measurement that you recommend, or that's irrelevant for the install?
They are all pretty much if not the same👍🏻
@@HighRidgeHandyman Thank you for the quick reply. However I bumped into some articles saying that Wayne Dalton garage doors require their exclusive rubber seals, which is a pain to get.
THAT’S WHAT SHE SAID
Damn, and I thought my garage was nasty...
😆 wait until you have a round bead that some douche crimped the ends to keep it from coming out. Impossible.to get this replacement installed
Bead comes from the factory. Just razor it out. The new one slides right into place. That’s if the bottom track isn’t beat to hell😩 👍🏻
@@HighRidgeHandyman I understand what you're saying but yes my problem is that the previous homeowner took what appears to be a flat head screw driver to the edges and hammered the last 1/2" shut on either side. I was able to open it, and roughly reshape with a metal pin but the seal will not slide into the track. It catches and starts to shred, took an hour to get 1' with minimal damage. Ordering a replacement track. No worries and thanks for the reply.
I'm trying to replace the seal on my garage doors and they haven't been replaced in over 30 years. Dried, crusted ,and cracking into pieces while I'm pulling it out and the ends appear crimped or tighter than the rest of the track. Do people crimp the ends to keep the seal in?
@@ketoabigail3306 Save yourself the trouble, I had the same issue recently. Replace the track and seal at the same time. My track had a bead instead of the T shape, ordered that to then realize the crimped edges. I uncrimped the edges and reshaped around a metal rod the best I could, the seal wouldn't slide on the track without tearing. Wasted $30 bucks. Ordered a replacement track that came with a seal for $35, self tapping screws, easy job, done in 30 mins. no headaches.
Most are not that easy you can bet on it.
No need for cussing on instructional videos
AN AD AT 1 MIN IN? You're too GREEDY! It's an 8 min vid. Down voting and won't watch your vids ever again.
You obviously don’t know how UA-cam works. Advertising is done automatically once your videos qualify. If that were the case you wouldn’t watch any videos😂BTW
Your welcome for the FREE HELP YOU NEEDED👍🏻
