This live album is freaking amazing with just one downside I personally think that the crash cymbals weren't miked properly because you can barely hear the crash cymbals as opposed to other cymbals
Yeah, you can tell by looking at the left hand, he's trying to optimize speed by reducing movement, that way he can move his fingers across the frets much effectively without getting tired, because throughout the rest of the song you can see him making way wider and more open movements and shapes with his fingers across the neck, so that way when he plays the solo, which is the fastest part of the song for him, he doesn't get fatigued

Who the hell mixed this? It's all guitar and keys. The drums (except for the snare and kick) are quite low, and so is the bass. I've listened to this with 2 different headphones, and on studio monitors and the same. Breaking the fourth wall version is the best live version if this track.
Omg. The way John Myung plays is just sick. To play this on a guitar is hard. Playing this on a bass with bigger strings, is hell!. This man is legend
U can tell that the strings are breathing and thats just the way Myung likes it
I just don't understand why Petrucci doesn't give him a better mix on these live recordings. Myung should really stand up for himself.
