New question. I started this project on my sons 2020 corolla this morning. Problem with mine is; the coupler was pulled back into the control unit and there was NO WAY that pin was coming out. Alldata didn't have anything yo say about my particular issue as well. Wondering if my experience is normal, and there was some magic that happened before your video started, making some room between the nose of the controller and the coupler that houses the pin???
have you replaced the cam housing acc? i was doing this and broke the like key looking thing you pried on. now i have to repace the hole thing, with the cams and all i guess. please help lol
TY for this quick video. Wondering, in your procedure, what gaskets/o-rings/seals were needed for this repair? Am going to do this soon for my sons car. TY
I have the same problem the mechanic wanted to change it and the insurance that you touched with the screwdriver broke and I don't know what that part is called if I p
@waltertrochez3925 hey, just did this this afternoon. Yeah, that part you broke off, that guy in video said to "lightly" pry on with screwdrivers, I'm trying to figure out what that is as well. My son was helping and inadvertently broke it off. It's made to shear when movement of shaft goes too far, but it IS real weak...almost too much so. Anyways, the hole goes all the way through the shaft, so If you can find a replacement piece, I think you should be able to punch the remainder out and tap a new one in. If I find it I'll post here also. My problem was that somehow the control unit coupler has sucked up to the main unit and there was no way in heck of getting that pin out.
Wondering...in this procedure, what all gaskets/o-rings/seals were needed to purchase to complete this part swap/repair? TY
Any videos on how to reset values and relearning procedure? Please and thank you!

Not sure what insurance your talkin about, but yeah, I explained very carefully in the video not put too much pressure just enough to release the pin
Where are you located I have same problem?
