driftbro yeah this exact gen. The AE111 is even rarer than AE86 or AE92 at where i live too, but somehow my family got 1, the ultimate zenki BZ-G (like the one which featured in this video) 20 years ago and till' this day i never met other people who also have one, ever.
driftbro sorry for late reply too, well i don't know to be exact, but one for sure ae111 are overshadowed by the ae86 worldwide popularity, plus the fact it only sold in Japan make it even worse. (Well there's also one phenomenon that might also related to; back in late 90's - early 00's less people are already buying sports car and more towards SUV which hurt ae111 sales badly that makes toyota discontinued them altogether)
Rubbish. To be honest this is the only video I've seen even with Best Motoring where the Corolla actually does any good. The 4AGE is a terrible engine particularly next to a B16a.
@@Flying_GC I was actually gonna say something snarky, but then I looked up some more best motoring videos to see if you were right, and in the ten minutes I was looking, I didn't find a single face off where the civic won. The B series is a phenomenal engine, yes, but apparently the 4A is the little mill that could, because the AE111 always seems to do very favorably, winning every time. Not bad for an engine that dates back to the late 70s at a basic level.
@@gavinmatthews5903 well it's a 4AGE 20V it's a modernized version, of the old design I heard the 20V specifically, comes with forged internals not to mention it's a 5 valve, per cylinder design, which gives more compression.
AE111には随分やられた。やつらコーナーは勿論良いけど、ほんとに1.6かよって位にストレートの伸びがある。にしてもエビスの登りであんだけエンジン元気良いとは、ちょっと目を疑う位
111のTRDに乗る友達が居たから借りて乗ったことあるけどかなり良かった。
ただ軽いだけでなくタイヤにキチンと加重かけれるからコーナリングスピードが高かった。
UA-cam見回してもスポーツモデルはサーキットでの速さの評価軸とチューニングの成果を筑波等で評価するものばかりで飽き飽きしてる…
月刊だったベスモさんはUA-camチャンネルになってしまったけど、この頃のようにノーマルカーを徹底検証出来る映像媒体としてまた生き返って欲しい❗️

4AGは回転と速度がある程度同調しつつ前へ進んでる感じがたまらんのよねぇ。4連スロットルの吸気音とアクセルの独特の重さも癖になる。

My country has many of these AE111 and even got a few Bz-R Levin's and Trueno's

AE101の4スロ仕様とTRD仕様のAE111に乗ってましたけど、サーキットでも峠でもかなり速かったです❗
ベスモでは、シビックのSiR(軽量廉価版)で、速さを強調してましたが、軽いので速くて当然で、ノーマルでフル装備のレビンと比較して、単純に早さでレビンがダメだとかシビックが良いとか、尺度が違います😅
AE101もエビス西を7秒台で走れてましたし、遅い車ではなかったと思います🍀
AE101でも後期型は相当速かったっすね(´・ω・`)
知り合いがECUチューン等々されたBZ-R?に乗っていますがとてつもなく速い...
ずーっとパワーバンド入ってる感じでエンジンが回ります。耐久性確保のために8,200をレブにしていますが、封印を解いたらどっかの豆腐屋みたいになれます(^^;;
動画のレビンはグリーンマイカメタリックという希少カラーですね。画像検索してもHITが少ないです!

AE111の5速MT前期と6速MT後期はやはり後期の方がはやいのでしょうか?どこがどう違うのか知ってるかたが居ましたらご教授ください
コイツは、ボディの差ですね。
レビンは、セダンボディで、後の2台は、ハッチバック。セダンボディは、リアサス周りが閉断面なので剛性面で有利。その点がサーキット・バトルでの差になったのでしょう。

The Civic and Mirage powerband is too narrow, need to rev to 7000 rpm to reach peak torque. The Corolla Levin is so much quicker.
