And when have you ever heard of a forest fire in New England? Does that make any sense to you? There is another one nearby in Norfolk, CT on Haystack Mountain, and its tale is that it was a tower to watch for German planes in WWII. Of course we believed it as kids. But does that make sense either? How many cross Atlantic flights were there at the time?
I'll bet there are many more stone towers around New England.
