Extreme cleaners Dave, Graham and Lee reach rock bottom dealing with an apartment that belonged to an alcoholic and seven dogs that he never walked.
Will they be able to get the apartment back to a habitable state...Of course they can, they are Pro’s.

When you move into a nice fresh apartment, you have no idea what went on in it before.
New build is the way lol
Making a sandwich on your "new" kitchen
Thats why I bought my first apartment new and same did with a house where I live now.
I just moved into my flat and there were squatters and drug dealers here before me and omg I'm still finding blood on the skirting boards and ceiling, also knife Mark's in the wall 😬🤬 luckily I'm ocd so few bottles of bleach strip the wall paper and completely repaint the flat should be all good:)

You should probably move out of there that place is dangerous you wouldnt know what would happen to you
The person who lived here obviously cared at some point, with things hanging up neatly and CD’s stacked and mirrors put up..how sad for all parties
I wonder if they were old and didn’t have any family members to check in on them. Definitely better to have someone unable to care for themselves to be in a care home rather than living like this where they can barely maintain a single bedroom apartment.
here in canada, all govt apartments and houses are checked once a year, so this kind of stuff doesnt happen, anyone living like that would be kicked out.
That is so good. It should be standard in all countries! Cheers for Canada
Only once?! Mehn I swear here in the vi it's every other week🤣, they be up in your fridge, stove, cupboards, everything 2...
Miss Cookie Monster alot can happen in a year
ymimad49 Well it doesn’t happen in government housing but it is absolutely happening in privately owned homes.
Here in Idaho if there's a problem we get inspected every month for 3 months until the issue is resolved or eviction is decided
How terribly sad that someone lived and died in this mess

@@warialdasue Why are u putting dogs above a person.. I would just pay the same respect for both...
DOGMA people have a choice. Dogs do not
@@warialdasue the previous tenant was likely unable to do anything due to his age.
Jlord there’s such a thing like a care home or a carer.
I bet the poor old man just couldn’t take care of himself, much less his apartment. He was probably horrified and too embarrassed to ask for help. The place is not hoarded, which is a huge help to clean the place.
@TheMKG26 are you literally incapable of empathy? Elder neglect is a very real and rising issue. People like this are living on retirement money with a family that is dead, doesn't care and/or not in contact with them. Try taking care of a home when you likely have several serious health and mobility issues, the depression that probably comes from being alone. The tenant also died, so they likely had dementia or something and I'm sure you can realise how that affects people and their ability to function.
I thought the same. The place was not hoarded, there were decoration, cd-s in their place, trophies neatly placed. I think he couldn't moved well and maybe had some mental issue because of that and loneliness...

I find impossible not to be sorry for whoever lived there. It was like hell, yet it was their home. They deserved better.
Yes we are desensitised to it. Yes we joke about it. But we are human and we do actually care about the people behind the mess. Dealing with dead animals is difficult, cleaning up after a suicide is definitely the hardest.
I think the real heroes are the cameramen...I respect anybody who has this career. I hope they get paid well

“I just can’t get my head around not how people live like this but how people LET people live like this” at 7:02
This is exactly what I thought. Some people can’t look after themselves because of mental/physical disabilities, Mental disorders or age. But are they really so lonely that no one else cares for them enough to check on them every once in a while?
Cnm bnm yeah some people just don’t want to bear the “burden” I guess.
Yes it's possible. I am not old, I'm 30 & though my house is tidy, I struggle with mental illness and *never* get visitors. Be grateful for those around you & don't take them for granted.
unfortunately, no one needs sick people. If you are incapacitated, then you are lost in this world (the Truth of life)
I don't clean here at my in laws because it's not my house. They don't want me throwing anything away so sorry but I won't help them much. 🤷♀️ I wash dishes sweep and mop. My husbands sister can do it herself but she's lazy so that's not my problem either. They want to live in filth then so be it. Not my problem. I tried helping& couldn't do anything so I did my part

How could the neighbours not smell his flat? I'm baffled
They probably did, they just didn't know where it was coming from or didn't bother reporting it
My boyfriend bought an ex council property in a block of flats so 4 out of the 6 are still council, all 4 of those flats are absolutely disgusting and the stench coming from them is rotten but the council won’t do jack about it so I imagine the neighbours did know but didn’t know who to talk to about it.
@@saz6511 yeah seems to be the way with some high rise council flats lol my mate's got a 2 bed flat and the lift smells of piss also her flat smells of weed by proxy cos her next door neighbour smokes it I guess theres a reason why the rent is so cheap cos the tenancies are so laid back lol it's not fair to other tenants who dont wanna live like that though considering how difficult it is to actually get a property yet some inconsiderate council tenants get away with murder 😡
@Time Warp yeah my friends flat is council majority of council tenants who have nightmare neighbours either suffer it or they apply to get moved to another council property but that can take ages cos of where it takes people so long to get a place they dont wanna give it up straight away I guess, some tenants do get away with murder because as I said their tenancies are really relaxed and they're too busy trying to house thousands of people to care/notice also they're not gonna put themselves through the agg of moving these nightmare tenants because other people are gonna have the same problem

they should use hazmat suits for this kind of work
And shoe protectors!! Imagine the bacteria on their shoes!
Ar-Pharazôn I think they did
Mini Mixers -- no, they just used regular protective coverall suits. Hazardous Material suits are actually designed to protect from any exposure to contaminants
Ar-Pharazôn I don’t think you know how fucking horrible those hazmat suits are to wear. Crime scene cleaners who wear them lose kilos of weight from sweat. If these cleaners think they don’t need it, then it’s up to them. You’re not their manager, you don’t make the calls.
Ar-Pharazôn They should burn the entire place down and burn the suits and shoes. They are going to take all that home to their families
This makes me want to go home and clean my apartment and KEEP it clean.
We have inspections 2x a year to make sure units never gets this bad. It saves a lot of money to not have to completely renovate a place every time someone moves out or ☠.
Omg. Those poor dogs. We have three cats and four litter boxes. As soon as the cats poop it gets scooped. I feel for the people having to deal with this
The fact that the tenant had enough pride and self-respect to keep his medals and trophies clean warms my heart. It reminds me of me in a way. Now, my house is nowhere near as disgusting at this house, but it does tend to be filled with dirty laundry, clothes, dirty dishes, and TV dinner wrappers and boxes. Despite the clutter on the floor, however, my bookshelf is spick-and-span. That's where I keep my book, currency, stamp, pinback button, and bottlecap collections - all of which are some of my most cherished inanimate objects.
Love how the channel name is Filth, straight to the point lmao 5:37
From USA, I've always liked shows like these. Good job Britain! 👍
Imaging being in lockdown in places like this
They're probably living in a lockdown 24/7 before
I'm glad they found somewhere for the guy's trophies so he isn't just forgotten. Can't help but feel sorry for the poor guy. To live in a place like that is truly heartbreaking. Clearly, things got too out of hand and he didn't know where to turn for help. And hopefully, the dogs are in happier homes now too.
I covered my nose just looking at the dog mess in the video
My great grandfathers home used to be very VERY bad with dog poop and an inch of cigarette soot on the walls. He would be too embarrassed to allow anyone to help clean so one day we just busted in and now it’s clean and he’s much more happy. People have to realize that yes this is gross but it was an old man who didn’t want that he possibly had no help or was too embarrassed
why is he wiping his eyes and face with the outside part of his sleeves.. goodness gracious
I know! And his hands 👀
I can never understand how anyone lives like this! I have diagnosed OCD and I clean almost daily! I dust surfaces every day, get nooks and crannies with the toothbrush, disinfect fixtures. Shampoo my rugs. I could never imagine living like this and being okay with that kind of smell
Well, there's two opposites to mental health issues.
OCD is problematic because it bothers your life and makes you vulnerable for diseases, constantly cleaning your hands makes the skin weak, infections will occur, etc.
And living in filth is problematic, because you're creating the bacteria that are harmful and will cause infections.
Both have their own unhygienic side-issues.
I’m the same, I would have a heartattack lol
I was so scared that there was gonna be a dead dog😢
I love these stories!!! I live in New York City and I'm sure there are lots of people who live like that here also! God bless these guys who have to clean these places!

Cleaning process?
It's astounding how this person didn't have anyone to check in on them and rescue him from this state...
I was hoping the deceased man’s family would at least claim his trophies for safe-keeping but no. ),:
People that live like this tend to not have any family, its likely one of the reasons why their state of living spirals out of control so drastically.
He didn’t through them away! He put them in a bag and said he’s going to put them up at the pub he goes to! That makes it a bit better

Honestly, this makes me feel like government housing should undergo assessment at least ever couple of months. Not only to get rid of misbehaving individuals, but also to recognize individuals with an inability for self care like in this situation and provide them with some damn help, no one should be living like that.
Agreed, should be done in every country - Ireland

Probably crusted shut with years of filth .
Due to having PTSD revolving around dirty homes, I cannot stand it when my house is dirty, I clean every day and my room is always the cleanest room in the house.
I’m more worried about what happened to the dogs.
My guess is they probably had to eat their owner after he died and that the worst of the horror came from right before and after he died. It baffles me that no one could hear the dogs or suspect the worst and call for help. That is being seriously alone. Sad.
