- Shown on Reverb......all-star line-up including Mos Def, Doug Wimbish and Will Calhoun of Living Colour, Dr. Know from Bad Brains and Bernie Worrell from P-Funk..........tracks include "Don't Kick Me", "In The Ghetto, "Shining Light On The World" and "War" ..........great musicianship...I wish these guys did more material together.
It is absolutely criminal that this band did not record. I'm a huge fan of 24, LC, BB, Fishbone and Rage. This was the sound of their time and the natural progression of the BRC.
They did record. The label refused to release the album.
They all over his second album.
@@CaptainRaab wow. Imagine all that time dedicated and the label is moving like that 🤨
@@global-bassist6789 what's the album name? I think I might have some songs saved on the spotify
@@RyanakaRhino18 the new danger?
I remember watching this, recording this on vhs, and somehow figuring out how to record this to a tape. The tape burned up in a fire in which a friend was killed. We both used to vibe to this so crazy. This is a throwback!
My condolences 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
I saw them in Chicago. One of the baddest bands ever assembled. RIP Bernie Worrell.
wow what a blessing to get all of these heavyweights together. yasiin!!
My Godfather Doug Wimbish out'chea being a genius his entire life.🙌🏾
I had no clue Uncle Dougie and Bernie made music together. This is super dope. Thanks Mos, Dr., Will, Wu, and Uncle D

DOPE SHIT, FOR REAL'z!!!!!
Thanks to +Benniken for sharing this CLASSIC!!!!
We all know that the ORIGINAL 'Black Jack Johnson can't be replaced since the legendary WOO MEISTER Bernie Worrell has gone to the ancestors.
Just for clarification though: the name of the song is 'GOT' not 'Don't KICK Me'. And that one lyric is 'Don't GET Me'.
Bad azz band hope they come to New Orleans
That is where I saw them, but like 20 years ago. Worrel has passed.
Love it!
This is so good!
yyyeessss!!!!
Mr. Bernie Worrel die yesterday !!! Amazing Line up !!!
+1
Guitar solo of 8 seconds no no no
Was that dr know??
Yes!
I saw them in the Bronx in April or May 2002... Worrell wasn't with them.
RIP to Bernie Worrell, but with the shit-talking Mos did on Rock and Roll and that experiment blowing up in his face that night, he should never say anything about Limp Bizkit ever again.
Explain.
What you talking about? This was a critical and artistic success. The business end just never came together. It happens to a lot of great bands.
@@SalimSivaad That crap sucked and Mos bit off more than he could chew and played himself in the process.
@@saj8 Your opinion is just that...your opinion: it’s not mine and it’s not fact. Sounds like you’re mad he said white folks stole Rock...they did. Don’t cry over history, snowflake.
@@SalimSivaad Man, get this try hard nonsense out of here. Black Jack Johnson is no Body Count, a group that sticks to one united musical direction and makes Mos's group look like a bunch of choirboys in comparison, not different musicians with different musical styles thrown together. It backfired on Mos. Face it.
