You got a like from me, I bought Olay soap from Ghana and I used it to help clear my acne and cystic boils off my face, it is wonderful no more sores on face, clear skin now, wonderful product🙂
Whaoo!! This is interesting to watch. It's amazing to learn how similar Nigeria and Ghana culture is. I'm nearly 60 and I remember my grandparents using those soap when we were younger but in Nigeria it"s called 'Kongi' soap and it came in a rectangular shape with a nice pattern on it. Thanks African Tigress for this informative video as usual👍😘

The life of villagers involved in the manufacture of soaps appears very simple and relaxing. I pray that beautiful villages like this one will remain unspoiled by the rapid growth of Ghana. The soap you used to wash your scarf made quite an impressive lather! Such a wonderful video, Tigress!
People in the African villages are so talented in making a lot of items from nature and not everyone can travel to Africa so I hope one day the Continent of Africa can come together as one and promote made in Africa items, by opening an thing like Africa amazon where people from around the world can purchase items made in Africa...like the fabrics, soaps, jewelry, arts, bags etc...I know people in the diasporas will buy it, and that will be a good support for the villagers...I enjoyed the video, I've never used this soap but I have the black soap from Ghana, wish I could have gotten the shea butter soap also, but that one was sold out...But I went crazy buying the honey, shea butter, cocao butter, black soap...If they can't have an African Amazon then maybe each village can have a website that they can sell their own products to the world.
I’m humbled to watch how it’s made. So different to how I’ve seen and make Soap. I am a soap maker in the United Kingdom. Thanks for sharing you video.
Thank you. I did not realize that 'don't touch me' soap was still being made in Ghana. It was a last resort soap for some during some national hard times in the 1980s. As the nick name suggests, you need to protect your hands when using the final product. Please put on proper rubber gloves when using it, or else bear the consequences from repeated use. 'Don't touch me' soap!
I see this soap in the Ghanian shop in London, but I buy the African black soap which is brown, I either buy it from the Ghana or Nigerian shop. It was great to see the soap being made.
This soap is very important to a lot from house because is affordable and it employs people too am your long lost fun but back again through brothers from Ghana
But you insult Ghana in the author video. She just says the tollers building I Ghana and you guys started insulting Ghana because you guys think that is the only toll building in the world Ghana but I know she will show you the rest and you will be shocked whatcha out
Interesting to watch, village life is easy and simple..The soap looks heavy and i guess if you buy two it will last 6mths😃😃they must starting importing it to the Sourthen Africa..very interesting ❤❤
Am beginning to love your village vlogs more....They show a lifestyle many city dwellers have forgotten. Besides your town/city vlogs of Ghana were disappointing; maybe many people were expecting so much from Ghana cos of all the hype so were disappointed with what they saw....that is the downside of over hyping a place. 😁 Will follow your journey in Ivory Coast cos that's one country that should be showcased more, Senegal too cos they are beautiful places in West Africa rarely talked about. Stay safe and blessed.
My Mum educate my elder brother with the money she made from this local soap to university level and he in turn educated all of us here in Sierra Leone.
Thanks for the soap making presentation and keep on loving more adventures trips as what you actually love to do. I never knew soda has purposes on soap making Do they make black soap like “0kin soap” in Nigeria?👍🏾
Lovely, this is what is also call Soda in Nigeria. It's very acidic, Buh the the Nigerian cut it in square so to be able to handle it while using it 🙄 some people actually use it for showering 😂 it's good tho Buh don't rob it on your hair while shower or your hair will turn Gray 😊
What is the "soda" made from? If na soap, why e no fit touch body?? I'm so confused. I guess its the soda that creates the foam/lather and also works as a type of bleaching agent?
The Brits say "lather" the same way they say "father". Palm oil is one of the commodities the British imported from West Africa and it was used in the manufacture of soap. They had the technology to take it up to an industrial level.
Thanks for sharing. Please palm oil is very expensive here in Volta region leaving us with no profit at all. Is there any other alternative? And please how do I get contact with you!!?
My mum also produces this kind of soap but she soaks the caustic soda overnight and guage it using hydrometer to make sure that soda and water is equal in strength before adding oils
In Sierra Leone too it is called ball soap and it is prepared the same way as Ghana do but because it shapes like a football that is why we call it ball soap
African tigress, i want you to know that Nigerian don't dislike ghana because you might think so from your comment, the only reason you see Nigerians behaving like this is because other Nigerians get on the youtube and attack Nigeria and tell them ghana is "heaven" so Nigerian spent years thinking ghana is very developed so when they see it now they are shocked and insulted by what they have been told by other Nigerians all this years. You can check Nigerians on youtube talking about ghana, and see for yourself.
Maybe African tigress showed you just 2% of Accra which was eve a market area like computer village in Lagos. But y’all are not wise to know that she can’t do not all
Pls this soap is the 'Azumah Blow', NOT 'Don't Touch Me'. The 'Dont Touch Me' is the softer version almost melting and soils one's hands immediately it is touched.
*Can we get 1K likes please?*
DON"T TOUCH ME IS DIFFERENT, THAT ONE IS SOFT AND IS NOT ROUND, BECAUSE IT IS SOFT THATS WHY WE CALLED IT " DON"T TOUCH ME

This Ghanaian village video is very interesting
In the American south my ancestors made this soap with animal fat. It was very effective also.
Oh Wow
The process is very familiar to me. I used to make soap from my kitchen and I'm still using my own soap for bathing; paraben free too.
