Here, I prefer soap made with animal fat. Look for "tallowate" on the ingredients lists. I found that the ones made with vegetable oils dry up my skin, and leave a film feeling on my skin.
Yeap, I use the Yardley soap ($1.25), and it is made with yellow it makes my skin soft, and the lather is luxurious. The ones I used before made with vegetable fats left a film feeling on skin.
Wow..!! Your content is soo good. I just have one recommendation can you pls make it longer and I find that you are kinda in hurry just make it lil slow
1. How would the caustic soda be acquired in ancient history? And how did they know they even need it, and create soap from it? 2. Seems it's just olive oil and caustic soda that are required (water to clean stuff, but not an ingredient). All the rest is bonus. No? 3. Isn't the caustic soda's behavior against oil and viruses/bacteria the same as soap?
From ashes I think. UA-camr @tellervo is a Finnish soapmaker and if I remember correctly, she tried making soap without caustic soda but from ashes. I might be wrong but you can check her page out.
Just trying to let everybody know there is not many olive trees. So much that Olive oil in the market are likely with additives. How come they have so much extra for soap
The content is crap! Everyone keeps telling you that plant passed products are better for the skin when they are not. I'm not going to waste my time explaining this because I know 99% of you are just going to throw a fit anyway. The fact is that tallow is the best thing for your skin. Period! Troll me if you wish but you will be wasting your time. I don't listen to garbage. This was a waste of everyone's time
Commercial soaps are. But for homemade/handmade soaps, the only chemical for the most basic recipe is the sodium hydroxide and the rest are oils or butters. Castile soap is made from only olive oil and lye. I did not actually know these at first but when I started diving deeper, the more I knew. And now, I have already made several batches of my own soap. 😊❤
Good content!
Thanks you helped me a lot with my school project❤❤❤
