However, in the same interview he joked that his story was 'crap' and that the closest he had to that narrative was that he had an uncle that went to Lehigh.
Try to dig up that interview. I sold our copy in a yard sale a decade ago.

Dissonance • facts need to be checked: about Biden and Mandela, it is that Nelson Mandela was adamant that he would NOT meet with Biden...who had made a big show of wanting to meet the world's most famous political dissident and prisoner of aparteid, so they had to stop him before he reached Mandela. The spin was that he was stopped by the authorities to save face but really it was that Nelson Mandela would not meet with him. History repeated itself with Obama when he was visiting South Africa then President Thabo Mbeki was leading the country. Again, a sick Nelson Mandela, sick but strong enough to make his voice understood, would not meet with Obama... I guess Mandela knew the score... and didn't like the tune!...I presume both Biden and Obama wanted to polish their public image with photo ops with 'the greater than life icon of our times'. At this point in his life, the great Nelson Mandela took no BS from whomever.

And about his wife and daughter's accident. He claimed the tractor-trailer driver was drunk when he wasn't. In fact, the accident was likely Mrs. Biden's fault, which is so freaking terrible to come to terms with, I'm sure. The story is sad enough without embellishment.

He claimed he meant to say 'to paraphrase the speech by...' but didn't say it. He said "it was the only time I didn't give credit". Then I believe another occasion of him plagiarizing the speech came up. Also, he admitted during the campaign that he committed plagiarism in college.
I think that was the same run where he lied about being in the top half of his class (he was close to bottom), that he graduated with three degrees (false), and some more discrepancies.
Trump lies all the time but there's enough from Biden that they could each fill up ads with a compilation of examples and to anyone that is still on the fence, Bidens numerous liabilities aren't helping Democrats to convey a clear choice and biden doesn't seem like a proper antithesis of Trump

Biden was caught plagiarizing while he was in college and you would think he would have learned a lesson from that, but no, he did it again while campaigning. Lying about the driver who had remorse and displayed compassion for Biden’s loss shows a lack of human caring and empathy on Biden’s part. 2. Using the memory of his wife & daughter how he did shows a huge disrespect for their memory. For 99.9% of the population, I feel like our grief and conscience wouldn’t allow us to tell THAT lie, even if we thought it would help us somehow.

You don't think it's possible that they realised that it was a no-win situation for them? It was pretty much guaranteed that Trump would get off scot-free but, if by some freakish turn of events he was held to account, they would end up getting death threats from his supporters. If you did(!), then you would know that the media stopped talking about them BECAUSE they were PROVEN to be false or most likely false. Example: the passenger chick on the airplane was proven to be unlikely due to it being IMPOSSIBLE because the planes were equipped differently at the time of the accusation so it could not have happened as she stated.

Haha yes his 1988 nomination campaign was a beauty. I think the most offensive lie in that campaign was and is that he said he was an activist for the civil rights movements. Especially how far he went with that. It was great having him admit he lied about this and all the other stuff when he was forced to stop his campaign. That lying about any involvement in the civl rights movement is one of the reasons I don't understand African-Americans are voting for him. Just the vile disrespect to that community and those that actually were part of the movement all for the sole purpose of electoral gain, should really be a huge turn off.
