Hi Mr. Spreadsheet! I am trying to do a simplified version of the 'Month at a Glance' worksheet. I'd greatly appreciate if you could guide me as to what formula was used for the filtered totals, as the figures don't simply change when I filter the data.
I've just set up accounts day books using the Macro guide - I'm finding with my purchase ledger that although there is a formula set up for calculation the tax and net amounts, not all my invoices match the figures so I am manually changing them. This has now caused a problem because the autosum does not add them up correctly - is there a way I can edit this?

Hi Lachlan, it depends on your accounting method. If you use CASH Accounting, then fine, if you use ACCRUAL Accounting, then not. :-)

Hi sue, this is because once you overtype the VAT value, then the underlying formula is also deleted.

i dont agree. why are receipts and payments mixed up as opposed to a separate column for each.
