I hope Novak wins but would not be surprised if he fails to get to the semifinals. Has not played since the Olympics and still protecting his knee and withdrew from the Rune practice.

He played unreal R32 & R16 at FO ( Musetti and Cerundulo ) then withdrew ( prob would have got to finals there ) Wins Olympics Gold 🥇 Well rested for USO. The only negative is he had no warm up hard court tournament ( Montreal /Cincinnati ) Hopefully he will use the first 3 rounds to hone his game and get in the zone for last 4
To all those simpletons incapable of doing basic research and wrongly opining that Sinner got off due to his ranking try some facts for a change. It should be noted that Marco Bortolotti faced a similar controversy at the tail end of 2023. Despite being a lower-ranked player (376) his case was resolved within three months, with no suspension. The player's case wasn't made public until a conclusion was reached, just like Sinner's.

Zverev on us21 was a huge obstacle in the semis. For me is unfair not to having him losing in very close 5 sets if not winning. It’s Goat’s worst year as well
Novak will become the first human being to win 25 slams in tennis if he were to successfully defend his US open title. What a spectacular achievement that would be hitting a quarter century in slam haul. Not only that, psychologically 25 looks better than 24. More over, the ridiculous Margaret Court angle will fade into oblivion, which the sinister Western Media brought up disingenuously once Novak emerged the leader. This is despite the fact that she won her 10 Australian open when no top player played, and when most of her slams were won in the Amateur era. When Federer became the first male player to win 20 slams, even Steffi Graf wasnt mentioned. That is how partisan and biased Westem media operates without a semblance of moral conscience.
Yes , totally agree. They are without morals. They are so biased it's almost comical. It will just come back to haunt them as Novak uses it to fuel his career
@@DaveOwen-vn6ie When Federer won 20 slams, he was heralded as the GOAT prematurely by Western Media. Nobody heard about Margaret Court then. What are you talking?? LoL 😂😂😂😂
I think Novak has a lot more chance on clay nowadays against Sinner and Alcaraz than on fast courts. @@naysayer1238 Alcaraz started cramping..the game had started going his way when the cramps started. Still a win for Novak but can't really argue they played best of 5 there haha
I'm not really bullish on any of the big 3 (Sinner, Alcaraz, Novak). Too much things I cannot ignore. Sinner: 1) Very tough draw unless it opens up.. 2) Still question marks on best of 5 matches/endurance especially after a long season 3) Psychological, with the news, plus he will face 2 Americans and possibly more later who have home adv. and possibly face a hostile crowd. Perhaps some heckelers. Alcaraz: 1) Played his a$$ off, 2 slam wins, then olympics, cincy, I just don't know if there's enough stamina left. 2) Stats on Hardcourt are actually not that great. But he has a nice draw, lot of out of form players and then could possibly face a tired Med or Sinner since that quarter is a bloodbath. So maybe he has the best chance. Novak: 1) Bad year and a lot of issues, knee, age.. 2) Never won USO in an olympic year. 3) Some in form players who are adjusted to HC So really not sure, not surprised who wins, Kind of still favouring Medvedev perhaps due to his historic performance, or even a dark horse tiafoe or something, I just would not be surprised. USO has produced surprising winners before, would not be surprised if in a long exhausting yr it hapens again. Some cilic wins.
I don't know. Sinner I feel has ice in his veins. He has cut loose more members of his team, and remember got rid of his childhood coach 2-3 years ago. He just won a masters 1000 on the eve of the big news breaking. But questions over exhaustion mentally, and his hip.
Champions rise. Im interested to see which of the Top3 might just do that, despite the validity of all you've said. I'd love to see it happen with Sinner or Carlos, but also love the outsider option as long as it's not fluke bcos of withdrawals/retirements and shitty calls on MPs in an otherwise tight match.

Interesting take on Sinner vs Medvedev quarter final. Considering that Medvedev made final 3 times out the last 5 times he played there. Also considering the fact that Medvedev just goes do or die against number 1, especially over hyped ones at grand slams.
Every podcast did it with the exception of Served and Andy Roddick. It is very disappointing that they preferred and deferred to the conspiratorial reflexivity of trolls and toxic players like Shapo and Kyrios who have a history of intentionally maligning players far better than they are. On the other hand, it was reassuring to see that all players took the high road at their press conferences including Tiafoe, Djokovic and Alcaraz to the defence of Sinner and fairness. Let’s hope the Sinner precedent allows others players the ability to get a better process and support going forward. The Sinner incident was in fact a blessing in disguise for others in the future.

Great video as usually Gill... Are those conversations with players on the phone or via social video ? "Yea, just talked to Casper, says he's ok'...lol I think as long as Nole is there, he's motivated - he'll keep playing until those young upstarts definitively close out matched against him - that's not happening yet...Or he'll just stop (like Steffi Graf did during a match in San Diego after winning the '99 RG) knowing he's had enough...Until then, it's not over, until it's really over !
Gill's a bona fide TV Channel Comnentator. He's there in person. He meets the players in person, esp on Media Day.
Voting against Alcaraz in a best of 5 in favor of a 37 year old with a dodgy knee, where have we seen this before?
Alcaraz rolled his ankle in practice today.
Alcaraz is the one with the dodgy foot now.
@@drtash21So excuse in advance
So you do accept he has a dodgy knee😅
Don’t come back if Novak wins to say he was faking it 😂
@@michael8597Please let us know when you grow up.
I want to congratulate you. I listen to lor of predictors. You are the best. I want only to focus on 2 games nobody was predicting the same as you did. First game mensek again alliasim. The second game.was tsisipas and kokkinakis. Good job gill,i will continue to follow you
Learner played main draw us open twice already. I think he lost to fonseca last year, juniors
I personally think sinner will defeat novak in the final
Doping boy
Asshole
Medvedev will beat Sinner and Alcaraz back to back
Haha! I love the opening to your video. So funny! Great drama with the drum beats in your predictions. Reasonable arguments, but in the end I think Sabalenka and Alcaraz will emerge the victorious even though I'd like Sinner to win.
Thanks Gil for not picking Alcaraz 😅
I find it hard to agree that Novak has a simple draw . Tiafoe at the US? Shelton at the US? Zverev? Popyrin and I don’t even mention Rublev. I hope Novak wins but would not be surprised if he fails to get to the semifinals. Has not played since the Olympics and still protecting his knee and withdrew from the Rune practice.
50/50 bro.
He got to Wimbledon Finals just after injury.... He played unreal R32 & R16 at FO ( Musetti and Cerundulo ) then withdrew ( prob would have got to finals there )
Wins Olympics Gold 🥇
Well rested for USO. The only negative is he had no warm up hard court tournament ( Montreal /Cincinnati )
Hopefully he will use the first 3 rounds to hone his game and get in the zone for last 4
Sinner wins it. He looked good in cincy. And i believe he will be motivated and i believe on hardcourt he's Best right now
V Djokovic in Final let's see. Hoping for revenge for Novak. I think Alcaraz Djokovic final again personally.
Sounds good re your interviews. :)
@Gillgross maybe you didn't put enough stock in the Olympics and the change of surface as a factor it seems?
Meddy ftw! 😐
My predictions
1.Alacaraz won’t make it to quarters
2.Sinner will make Final
3.Novak wins 25th slam in 4 sets against Sinner
Yeah😂
May get some criticism for this, but I'm going to go ahead and be bold.
Men's Quaterfinals
Sinner defeats Medvedev
Alcaraz defeats Safiullin
Zverev defeats Fritz
Lehecka defeats Djokovic
Men's Semifinals
Sinner defeats Alcaraz
Zverev defeats Lehecka
Men's Final
Zverev defeats Sinner
Really bold predictions but could well be correct 👍🏻
All might have a clue but Safiulin? Ahahahahaha
You said Carlos vs Novak final
My predictions:
SF:
Alcaraz def. Tsitsipas (3 sets)
Zverev def. Djokovic (5 sets)
F:
Zverev def. Alcaraz (5 sets)
Hmm. Good point about Berrettini dark horse on 5 set hard court , - but has played on grass and clay this year , really better on these surfaces.
Im still going to take Fritz to the Quarters.Ruud been pretty bad lately.
Good predictions Gill, you nailed it this time around.
Jannik will take this year's US Open trophy. Watch it unfold...
Zverev on us21 was a huge obstacle in the semis. For me is unfair not to having him losing in very close 5 sets if not winning. It’s Goat’s worst year as well
Thanx Gill. Cheers, Milan!
Love Novak. But my heart would really go for Andrey finally breaking his quarter-final hurdle!
Why not both?
Andrey for semis and Novak for the title.
@@user-wd7ue1wd6r Andrey and Novak will meet in the quarter final, so your scenario isn't possible for this Slam.
@@XheraPhineohh, I see.
Then bye bye rublev 👋
It has got to be the next time. Nobody in sports over Novak for me. Go GOAT
@@user-wd7ue1wd6rimpossibile
What are you talking about?
Court was constantly mentioned with regards Serena so STOP trying to make Djokovic constantly hard done by
I follow Western media and nothing of what you state is true. You seem to be very biased/brainwashed.
@@DaveOwen-vn6ie You are absolutely correct
@@DaveOwen-vn6ie When Federer won 20 slams, he was heralded as the GOAT prematurely by Western Media. Nobody heard about Margaret Court then. What are you talking?? LoL 😂😂😂😂
Without curtain the view looked great
I think Novak has a lot more chance on clay nowadays against Sinner and Alcaraz than on fast courts. He won against Alcaraz last two meatings on RG courts and lost 2 wimb and ausie open semis against Sinner because he could not handle the speed of the play. So, in case the final is Djoko vs Alc or Sinner, I think the young guys will prevail. Hope Im not right ,Im die hard Nole fan! Will be chearing with all my heart. IDEMO
For anyone who understands tennis, they know that Novak only beat Alcaraz in the Olympics because he barely hanged in there due to the Bo3 format. He still has NOT beaten Alcaraz in a Bo5 and he definitely won't do it this year cause his season has been terrible other than 1 event.
P.S. beating a cramping alcaraz does not count :P
? French Open, 2023
Not his problem when a young 20 year old cramped against a 36 year old lol.
@@naysayer1238 Alcaraz started cramping..the game had started going his way when the cramps started. Still a win for Novak but can't really argue they played best of 5 there haha
He'll never learn. The best Alcaraz comes to play and wins in 5.
Hes the betting favorite for a reason..Would be an amazing year if Alcarez wins the US Open..
Thank Gill great analysis 👏👏👏🙏🙏
Some bold predictions Gill. Picking Shapo over Botic Van De Zandschulp , Zhizhen Zhang over Draper and Tabilo over Korda.
Well, I just hope you're right about the winner. I would love nothing more than to see that no25, but i can't say I'm confident.
A deep sigh of relief. Carlitos is now in a good spot 😂.
Alcaraz picked up an ankle injury today during practice.
Confused. Said Stef may lose to koki and then said Stef may beat meddy? I'll go back and watch that part again
No love to Seb Korda? Dang
Yep, that's strange. But I think Gill simply forgot about Korda when predicted Tabilo as a 4th round opponent for Carlitos.
Sinner quarter and speak less than a minute about Sinner 🤦🏾♀️
Nobody wants to speak about that doper. He should be allowed to play in tbe first place.
Fils lost in the junior final to the Serbian junior but he is playing better now
I'm not really bullish on any of the big 3 (Sinner, Alcaraz, Novak). Too much things I cannot ignore.
Sinner:
1) Very tough draw unless it opens up..
2) Still question marks on best of 5 matches/endurance especially after a long season
3) Psychological, with the news, plus he will face 2 Americans and possibly more later who have home adv. and possibly face a hostile crowd. Perhaps some heckelers.
Alcaraz:
1) Played his a$$ off, 2 slam wins, then olympics, cincy, I just don't know if there's enough stamina left.
2) Stats on Hardcourt are actually not that great.
But he has a nice draw, lot of out of form players and then could possibly face a tired Med or Sinner since that quarter is a bloodbath. So maybe he has the best chance.
Novak:
1) Bad year and a lot of issues, knee, age..
2) Never won USO in an olympic year.
3) Some in form players who are adjusted to HC
So really not sure, not surprised who wins, Kind of still favouring Medvedev perhaps due to his historic performance, or even a dark horse tiafoe or something, I just would not be surprised. USO has produced surprising winners before, would not be surprised if in a long exhausting yr it hapens again. Some cilic wins.
Please start your own podcast.Much prefer your analysis to that of GG 🐴
@@kennethmaxwell4809 Thanks but time is not a friend. You need tones of time, dedication, have good charisma, refinement for this type of stuff. I'd probably prefer streaming some video game over sport anyway. I've enjoyed watching it more, no bs controversies like you see in sports, no weird rulings, no one falling to the crowd after being touched like in soccer etc.. Just code and data. I don't even deep dive as much as I used to, i.e reading all the players interviews, or see who the dark horses could be.
@@Jalleur14325 Ye he is much more refined. I think US is also slower to medium hc, not sure if it will play to his strength
Please don't harass people - anyone looked at Tsurenko or Paire social media? 😆
I say your final gil is what I have just a different winner
My prediction is, Zverev defeats Djokovic in the semis, Alcaraz defeats Zverev in the final.
No way Djoker gets through semis (maybe even quarters) after not playing since the Olympics! Think it’s Rublevs time to get past quarters.
Well, it seems that the Cincinnati loss did mean something after all ;-)
"Ti Lu or Tu Li"? Carlitos will Li Tu rally blow him off the court😄
BEFORE I read your comments and predictions, i fervently hope you did NOT pick nole to win greetings from nole's home town.....cheers
When was the last time Gill guessed a Slam winner?!
He isn't even trying to. He is leading people to betting the wrong man. Btw Djokovic is to old for 5 set matches against the likes of Alcaraz and Sinner and I don't see him trashing them 3:0 either cause he slowed down a bit. If he was 34 he would cruise them
Interesting take on Sinner vs Medvedev quarter final. Considering that Medvedev made final 3 times out the last 5 times he played there. Also considering the fact that Medvedev just goes do or die against number 1, especially over hyped ones at grand slams.
I realy hoped you wont bet on nole for winning😂
He bet intentionally on Novak because he wants Alcaraz to win! 😂 But i hope Novak will demand his wishes once again! :D
@@goranjovic3174 haha actually i think he prefers nole, hopefully he is right this time
Gill is that Indigo Hotel near Main St and Northern Blvrd in Flushing?
Lightening quick = merely Med Fast. Modern players🙄
You still haven't apologized for some hasty statements on the Sinner case, which I find rather disappointing.
The Sinner incident was in fact a blessing in disguise for others in the future.
. Great comment
what hasty statements? I found it objective.
@@vijayla21 Claims of inconsistency compared to other players and preferential treatment make it an objective take? Nah... As of now, nobody has been able to explain where the inconsinstency lies. In the mailbag video, Gill himself is very vague in this regard. At this point, it's just an agenda.
Your 37 y/o GOAT has died. I wonder why are you so bad in predicting results?
Yes he needs to fire Carlos the coach
I pray that gill is right🎾
Yikes...whoever Gill picks loses...nooooo. pick Alcaraz pls!!
In any case I think Carlos will win
