- Born Roger Harry Daltrey on March 1st 1944, in West London, Roger Daltrey would assemble the group that would become "The Who", that would become among the most popular and influential bands of the 1960s and ’70s. As lead singer of the group, Daltry brought a rebellious voice to rock music, offering a defining sound and adventurous spirit. And with the band's success, came the opportunity for Daltry to become a series motorist, owning a wide variety of sporty and exotic cars over the years. I once met Roger Daltrey as he turned off City Road onto Islington High Street in his Ferrari 308 we nodded and away he went. He looked darned cool in that car.

The P1800 shown with Roger Daltrey wasn't manufactured by Volvo. The panels were pressed in Scotland and the cars built in West Bromwich by Jensen. Production only moved to Sweden after around 6000 cars had been built. The cow horn 1/4 bumpers are the obvious giveaway because only the UK built cars had them.

It wasn’t a Ferrari 308GTB, it was a GTS, in silver, reg 777CAN. I delivered it to his house one time after we had serviced it. Great colour for a GTS by the way!
I also delivered the silver 308GTS to his fish farm house after some major engine work.

Don't think any Ferrari 308 can reach 170mph, maybe 140mph.
They could hit 160 but it would be redlined in Top Gear so it could do it but for a short period of time. Otherwise it would wear the engine out quickly

Well, he got the last laugh, because DB4's are now more sought after than DB5's. For a DB4 Zagato Continuation you pay £ 6.5 million.
An original ZAGATO is about 15 grand now. It was only a thousand quid dearer the the DB4.
