Mr. Vengerov, I dont see any violinist in my humble opinión nowadays playing so dramatic, so colorfull so intense as you. I hope to see you on stage more often
Alvaro Ambrosio i understand the sentiment, but try listening to ray chen
Leonidas kavakos
Or also Leonid kogan
Maxim Vengerov and Gidon Kremer, then Leonidas Kavakos and Midori
@@johnwiese6760 omg exactly my thoughts
This is excellent. The people who dislike Vengerov simply because of his exaggerated facial expressions could justifiably do so only if they were deaf.
I think the people Who dislike don't like classical music.
+Andrew Miller If he didn't make that face, the sound simply doesn't come out like that. He has to express the emotion by all his means, otherwise, it does not come out! It's a technical requirement. And it also helps us to understand the message of the music: Does it hurt? Is it pride or anger or just a smart joke? I love his working face!
+Mihaela Serea =BRAVO Mihaela =You are right 100%
+Mihaela Serea Do you mean that he couldn't sound the same if he didn't make these face expressions ? Personally, i'm not 100% sure this is true. Ysaye said that corporal expression is only there for one single purpose : to serve musical expression only. Other than that, it's just showing off. This said, i highly admire Vengerov which i believe to be one of the top violinist nowadays. But since there are so many talented violinist nowadays, it is not unfair to express our preference for one or the other. You cannot just like them all.
+IG EP It seems so. I meet artists who told me so. I also have noticed musicians with excellent technical skills and very distingueshed look who sounded perfect but not emotionally at all. Maybe I put it wrong: maybe is not the face expresion that helps emotions to come out, but they come somehow together. The lack of one comes with the lack of the other. Except from some cases like Hilary Hahn who doesn't show much with her beautiful face but definitely shows a lot of emotion with her sound.
Vengerov is just the BEST. Never seen anything like this...and the face and body language is a bonus. I love everything this man is and everything he does 🤗🎻🥰🎻💕🎻❤👏🎻
Perfect mix of core power, gentle beauty, and perfect technique.
2:48 *that left hand pizz tho... i needs to practice for 40 hours like ling ling*
I didn’t pay much attention the first time around Jesus Christ!
actually this kind of scale down left hand pizz is considered the easiest of left hand pizz, but still hard to make them sound this loud and clear note by note. 5:00 is way harder 😮 it has double stops, armonics, and left hand pizz 😯
@@DavidTorrez yeah at 5:00 it reminds me of something Sarasate/Ernst would write. I'm surprised Wieniawski wrote it but oh well, there it is!
If you have the fundamentals down then no need for that silly ling ling bullcrap ahaha
@@liamnevilleviolist1809 you are totally right! It actually has the Ernst taste. I am happy that someone else has the same thoughts.
Listening to this song i imagine someone having a hard time, sad and alone in his room and then suddenly remembering those happy days dancing and joking with his loved one, a person he cared a lot but has passed away. After having those beautiful memories, he goes back in his current reality, moaning for her, sad because he cant get to see her anymore, struggling, trying his best to feel happiness once again, always remembering those beautiful moments with his loved one. After a while, he realizes he can still feel happiness if he keeps those memories and make them part of himself. The end. ☺️
You have started my case completely except for the last part....I was struck in the head and received a tramatic brain injury in 97....we broke up and she is now a single doctor scientist professor for a major university....I will always miss her, forgive her for abandoning me and letting me be a homless person for 25 years....now I live on a hobbyfarm taking care of my old parents who also abandoned me for 25 years because of selfishness....I have an incredible story really and I'll never love again although I look normal now I'm still very much deeply cut on the inside.....I love you all and hope you all can stay safe....love in Christ, Steve...
Unbelievable talent and complete mastery
Maxim Vengerov puts his heart and soul into his violin playing and his teaching style is fantastic, full of metphor and intelligence. In my opinion, Maxim Vengerov is one if the best violinists of our time.
Vengerov one of my favourite violinist, he's so incredible, so emotional, Maxim is just Amazing !
I would listen to him for hours and listen even more.
Cannot get enough of Vengerov. Blown away by every single performance.
I wish I just had as much talent as he has in his little pinky finger. 😮
E treinar repetidamente e exautivamente.
Гений
THAT LEFT HAND PIZZ THOOOOOO
extermly hard and at that speed.
He is absolutely incredible!
Mero mortal. Se voce for humilde , ai sim ganhoi nota l10. O melhor!
Best rendition of any musical piece for violin ever.

Amazing piece! I love you Vengerov
Everything I hear from Vengerov is just mind blowing. Everything!!!
love the histrionics and the facial dancing
maxim é SHOW!!!
Vengerov at his prime is in my view the greatest violinist of the recorded era... only other person comparable is Heifetz.
What about Perlman?
Michael Rabin and Igor Oistrakh!
@@chrollium6111 Perlman is good, but Maxim has a lot of imagination giving life to music, you can close your eyes and imagine a movie. You can do that with Perlman sometimes, but he is more technical perfectionist, Maxim has more interpretation skills might not be technical-perfection, but amazing how can he bring musical notes to life.
There’s too many great violinist to pick 2
@@oldbird4601 well the list would be around 50 people long ....and Joshua bell would never even be considered....he would certainly be on the list of swashbuckling fiddling conmen along with the companies who helped him in his career as a con artist....

Omg...I just love him, purely and entirely, love him.
Unbelievable talent !
Just talent doesn't do that it's hours of painful practice that most of us(including myself) are not willing to do. He still talented tho
bravísimo!!!!!
Totally breathless, awesome!
amazing!
Genius! He looks like some dark character played maybe by Al Pachino? Love it
I just love the moments from the Sibelius Dm Concerto stuck in. I came from listening to that concerto, so they hit me in the face like an object which tends to hit people in the face effectively.
