The best version of this piece. Vengerov brings just the right amount of tenderness and bravura where appropriate. The sound of the string orchestra is really unique, and I honestly like it better than the full orchestration Sarasate originally wrote.
Unbelievable musician: he just enjoys music and it seems there is no any effort from his side to play this. These kind of persons are just blessed from the God.
Господин Венгеров, на мой взгляд, пожалуй, лучший артист со скрипкой. Его музыкальность лишена поверхностности. Он серьезен и выставлен из строгой школы. Поздравляю!
i won't pretend to know much about classical violin playing, but i know what i like and Maxim Vengerov had me awestruck with that exquisite performance
Fantastico Violinista !!!!!

I love Maxim Vengerov since early 90' sall him live in Cheltenham and Barbican center with Anne Sophie playing Bach. From my point of view he is the best in the world!Absolutely adore him!
3:45 the power is unreal edit: I posted a narration to Heifetz's interpretation of Caprice 24 (uploaded by the Newsreel Archive) and it was suggested I do a similar story here as well: It's a sweet summer night, with the wind tenderly bending the trees and flowers, caressing everything and everyone. A couple meets, greets each other passionately, they have heard the night's call and are dressed to dance. They head to the club, but on the way the husband gets bit by a spider. Lightheaded he's walked by the wife to the bardesk "this'll fix you up". But the poison takes hold, music starts - the man gets into a furious dance, like zapataedo. The wife joins him, trying to keep up and the man from falling. They pause for a second but then the house band starts the music again, now with everyone clapping and cheering them on. The husband is not sure where he is, and his feet seem like they are moving on their own. Unable to stop it, they dance and dance but eventually fatigue sets in and the band cues them off with an accent. The house erupts with great applause.
En estos tiempos de mierda para el arte, de machacanotas, de juegos circenses sin alma, Vengerov es de los pocos artistas que logra un poco de arte a ratos. Es mucho.
I don’t get the cameraman’s fetish with Vengerov’s nose - this is better than the 24th Caprice recording, but he still zooms in awkward places lol - the only thing that made this bearable to watch was the literal playing - all the musicians and Vengerov were so wonderful and I feel bad that they were done dirty! I’ll be sure just to listen to this recording because it is so awesome!

I can't agree more!
Yeah but not the camera angles
He is so imaginative
He is so good at teaching
He is probably creative enough to compose and he is probably the one who arranged the string orchestra
Yeah he is a pretty good (more than good actually). But check out the David Nadien interpretation, honestly...

How many hours a day can I practice to become like him...
Maybe 40 hours/day..
Please it gets annoying everytime that every recording gets infected with the twosetviolin memes
The two setters are fucking everywhere
if you guys don’t wanna see twoset comments just enjoy the music and not look at the comment sections smfh
Its actually nice seeing how twoset reunites people into loving classical music, idk why yall mad about it lol
