I like how you showed that comparison of the good video/bad audio, audio is just as important as great picture. Just received an HT-A9 (also have a Q990c), the HT-A9 has a larger sound stage, have nor added the subwoofer yet, wanted to see how it is without the subwoofer. YES this system sounds great without a subwoofer, its incredible in image placement and height effects. I know exactly what im missing without the sub, as i have a dedicated Kef 5.1.4 system with a 12" sub. The A9 is just so easy to use and no speaker wire is awesome 👏. Setup literally took 5 minutes.
Have 2019 QNQ90R and both 2022 Q990b and now a 2024 q990d soundbar. Both have Q symphony with this TVs firmware update 6mo ago. Unsure if its 3.0, but the QN90R TV has a great 4.1.2 onboard speaker array (its a thick Tv), so Q Symphony sounds amazing
I really want to buy the 990D, but I'm in a small room and feel like I'd be wasting £1000.. even though it would be overkill, would you say it will still be awesome in a small room?
Its going to work great! Tell you what, I can get you a youtube/bundle deal if you email me youtube@walts.com And you can also include any other details or questions you might have!
Does the s95c tv support 3.0 Q Symphony with a Q990D soundbar ? I have my s95c with a JBL 1300x soundbar and no doubt it sounds stunning amazing but i wanna find out what the hype is about with samsung soundbar and Q Symphony!
I'm having trouble getting Q Symphony to appear on a wireless connection. I have the Q90C and HW990C and I can't seem to get them to recognize the Q Symphony option.
yeah thats the problem with wireless and bluetooth is that its not always consistent. If possible I would try to use a cable, even it that means running a cable down inside the wall.
I have a Q80A 65in 2021 and i want to buy a Q800D soundbar my tv and soundbar will play together with q symphony or there is incabability problem because my tv is older than the soundbar?
I dont know if you will get 3.0 but you should get some form of Q-Symphony because im 95% sure the A models had it. Just to be sure I would ask Samsung, their chat portal on their website is really helpfull!
hey i connected my q990d with my s95d and the q symphony works well on the soundbar but the tv speakers have a static noise and really quiet. but if i select tv slealers ok its on the tv speakers work perfectly. do the tv speakers whilst im q symphony only work with dolby atmos or 7.1 or should they work woth amy sound output. thank you so much for taking the time to read
Based on their advertising on the website of multiple models it looks like the Q level tvs in 2023 come with 3.0. the other models below that like the 8000 and 7000 should now be able to do q-symphony but just not the 3.0
@@WaltsTV i did not get it running with bluetooth only --- it directly worked flawless with HDMI. I have 83 Inch OLED (60Watt Speaker was fine compared to older TV before) but with Soundbar Samsung Q935 everything is homegen and we like it.
I have a maybe stupid question that I can't find an outright answer to... I just bought a Samsung S89C and am looking into a Q-Symphony soundbar if I can get one relatively cheap. I'm looking at the HW-Q600A. It is Q Symphony compatible, but I can't find whether it is 3.0 or not - or if that is something that gets updated, as in a 2.0 gets a firmware update to bring it up to 3.0 standards.
Hi... I have done this with my S95D and the Q600 soundbar... it all works but every time I turn off the tv and then turn it back on, the soundbar also turns on automatically but the sound has reverted to TV speakers only... why is this happening? Why doesn't it start with the Q-Symphony turned on? Also, I tried to update the firmware of the soundbar following the steps on the Samsung site but when I click the 3 dots on the smarthings App for the sound bar I only get the "Edit" button to change the name of the sound bar... can you help?
if your happy with the sound you are getting they good. Sony and Samsung allow the TV to be integrated with the sound bar and have the processing make it sound like a larger sound stage. you are just using the tv speakers and the SB at the same time.
Hi thank you for this video. Two questions, If you setup Q-Symphony using an HDMI cable into eARC, does that mean you could not also connect the soundbar via WiFi? I might be wrong, but I think connecting the soundbar over WiFi is needed to use other features like Smart Things? Or can you do both and have the next of both worlds? (And if you can only connect via HDMI *or* WiFi, can you do Q-Symphony over WiFi only?)
Do all Q Symphony tv’s have the same speaker configuration? I have Q800B soundbar and older Samsung tv and thinking of getting a new tv to help improve dialogue. Thanks
Handy but I hateeeee when media says "What you NEED to know..." it is everywhere and normally it is about stuff no one NEEDS to know :P I want to know how to get my HW-Q930D using a LG C3 as my monitor/tv in Windows 11 using Dolby Access for Atmos. I use a Nvidia RTX 4090 with a HDMI 2.1 cable from GPU to HDMI #1 and eARC port #2 to HDMI eARC port on the soundbar. Issue is the initial 1-3 second delay before sound comes up and a Dolby Atmos overlay pops up at the top right of the screen.
Hello, I have a question. If anyone can help. I called Samsung but I just wasted 40 min calling. I have a Q70C tv hooked with a Q800C soundbar. First issue, the audio cuts out for a split second then comes back. It does it a couple times an hour while watching movies or shows. Second question, the soundbar used to say tv + soundbar. Now it says Q- Symphony. Was that updated recently? I also have a Q90A tv hooked up with a Q60T soundbar which still says “tv + soundbar.
Yeah so basically it just updated on its own then if it says Q-Symphony. For the older products they might have that feature but I dont think it is called Q-Symphony.
I have a Samsung m7 Monitor. I own a q60c soundbar. When I reset the soundbar and connect it for the first time, a symphony is activated. but then it doesn't work. Has anyone experienced this and found a solution?
possibly, mess with your audio settings. If you can get it to say Soundbar + TV then that means you are in Q-Symphony. What version I am not sure but you will atleast have it.
QSymphony atmos is a nightmare on windows 10. All channels including the rears, come out of the TV. And there's lag, making it unusable. I'm pretty pissed I bought a S90DD (which itself is 2.1.2) and the Q990D but they sound awful used together, which was the point. I also lose the rears and the sub altogether when not running atmos content. Absolutely ridiculous
I got the Q930 last week and new Qled 55" week before. Nothing about setting up so can just use as music system at times, blu ray films at others. Skimpy on readout "Surround" which surround? Specs list about 5 different ones, but how on earth are you to know which one they are tossing at you? And so many features, esp in picture type pop up with "not available"... why the heck not? There is almost zero useful info from Samsung. (I am in Thailand and you need to have an account to access some features and download... but there is NO ENGLISH version in Thailand. I've talked with local service... long pause... "So you don't want to say it, but there is no way to have this in English, right?" Right. And don't suggest translate app because then functions of sign in etc don't work. Folks with sites like you are a godsend: we'd just be stumbling about hit or miss 100% of the time instead of current 75%

always better with over without.

what size tv? if your looking at a 65-55 the Q600C is great. If you have a larger one probably the 990c

no 3.0 is built into 2023 and 2024 models so ending in C and D should support it.

dolby Atmos 7.1 I would have set to only listen out of the soundbar and not the TV. This feature is meant more for enhancing basic streaming.
so when do you suggest i use q symphony
