If you feel so, better You buy and cook at Home.
If you can't understand current food prices please check this simple mathematics.
Suppose you are buying Grilled Chicken (Alfaham from Kerala) the avg price is arround 400.
Think you cooking it at home.
You need 1 full chicken - ₹ 250
Marination - ₹ 40
Charcoal - LPG - ₹ 60
Labour - ₹50
Garlic Sauce =30
Vegetables = 30
Packing and Misc = 30
4 Rotti - 40
It will be more than 500
If you consider the time and effort too.
Commercial LPG Price is ₹2000 now.
Last 2 years Prices of every items have doubled in Kerala or India.
According to official reports after covid restaurants had huge losses and most of small and medium restaurants closed permanently. The Industry is struggling to survive.
This is harsh reality for majority restaurants.
So be aware what's happening arround before making such comments.

Nope. In Middle East - Rent is costlier, labour + benefits are costlier, chicken is costlier ( Fresh Chicken around Rs.250/KG for fresh, Rs.180/KG for frozen), Fresh Produce is expensive, Electricity & Water is expensive, LPG & Fuel is cheaper I'll give that to you.

OMG, Matar Qadeemile Habeeb Restaurant!! Born and brought up there, I've had fond memories of the Old airport shawarma shops which used to range from 3 riyals. Habeeb used to be my to go place since it was walkable to my home, 4 riyals and with the spicy sauce added to the bread while toasting. There used to be Petra, where one of THE best falafels I've ever had. Super glad to see this, bringing back memories. Good old Matar Qadeem days.
