Good Evening To All BBI FANS, & SUPPORTERS: MR. LUKE you definitely designed & built another copper Monet !!! IMHO there isn't a living soul on this earth that builds like you. Not only does it KICK ASS but it's beautiful to admire. Thank you BBI for another gorgeous creation + all your time & efforts with the making of this video. As always my best to you and your family, TMP, Unit 22 from N J.😊😊😊😊😊😊.
Sweet looking amplifier looks more like a piece of artwork than a function electronic device but it definitely looks nice I seriously dread the amount of work that you must have put into constructing it😉😉☺☺
Now you need to make one in fine silver .The best conductor on the planet .It will cost a few grand on the heat sink alone but boy will it be shiny and then turn Black in time !
It's been a very long time since I have seen one of your videos .This 8s the first time in a long time 8 actually got a notification from boob tube that you have a new video .I am subscribed !Figure that one out !
Make sure go check your subscription level and make sure that you've clicked the Bell notification have it set for all otherwise you're going to just randomly get shit
Im poor boy i cant even afford that. Bbi is the man on a whole different level. My guy builds me boxes and does really good work. I have never had a problem that was his fualt , now that said i do some dumb sh1t an blow thee occasional pill or 2 haha. Like i said tho my fualt . I dont mind tearing up stuff becuase thats how things get made better we learn and adapt. Take care. 199 florida georgia line.
I remember this box . And lust is the word . I remeber thinking this is a one off project that will likely never be copied. But hay seriously what is the clear coat brand you use .i would really like to do all my boxes after a good dusting . A little spritz of clear coat would be nice. Ya know some day on down the line 40 or 50 years from now that box will bring a small fortune. Like i said lust is the word im sure im not alone on this. 199 florida georgia line. And im the biggest mud duck in the okeefenokee swamp haha.
you every think about using some using automotive 2k urethanes? A quart kit of clear is only like 100 bucks and is orders of magnitude more durable then rattle can clears.
What a nice amp. If transistors cost $250 apiece, I’ll never own a nice amp. I’m just trying to get a decent antenna up in the air right now. I got a long ways to go to get out of the mud.
Question: have you ever heard of a Pace DX100 amp? It may be one of the first solid state amps from the late 60s/early 1970s. I have no documentation on it and neither does the internet. With 4 watts in it makes 48 watts output. It is the same size, and uses the same cases, as the Pace 2300 series radios.
Aluminum has a molecular weight of like 27 and copper has one of 63 and a half. That thing must have some considerable weight to it. Copper is good tho. It has a better heat conductivity than aluminum. That's definitely a very cooool box!
Nope. That's not how the actual parts dealers in America have done it for 20 years when it comes to these components. The knockoff Chinese components they come in an Esd bag though
I kept looking at the amp and thinking what in the heck is a pill there by itself an why are there 5 ohm trnsrs setting in a row. Extras!! Couldnt figure..
Yessah....Aloha my brother...Nice Job...Loved seeing you and the wife .love you guy's ..
I'm an artist, I've seen a lot. But that box is a true work of art. Copper brilliant.

Dust your knees off when you get up
Edit: Sorry I couldn’t resist the joke, now I feel bad. Lol, I agree with everything you said
I remember watching this build but musta missed the parts bank... That's brilliant and 2 steps ahead of most👍💯
Yeah those Toshibas were expensive when you built that, I can’t believe you put a spare in there. Good business
Your amps are works of art, Mr. BBI.

Thanks for taking the time for us to see this. Some day
I would love to get you to build me a 1 pill. That's probably all i could afford haha.

I'm in love!
Mercy this is a beautiful amp I can easily picture this in a sealed airtight display case 🙂
2 bad you have to put on a cover . also love the bank of spare parts so nice
Glad you have it back cause I know the deal on that. 73's.
What deal?
Nice amp. I know what it's like to want to collect unusual things. Or 1 off items
Now thats bad ass BBI

nice looking box there 👍
"Parts bank" - brilliant! It's like that extra button sewn inside a new shirt.
500 doll-hairs 🙂
That is a darn good looking amp. I bet you have zero volt drop on your ground return.
sell it for 10 grand to a collector. it's an unique item, after all.

right but its 100 times harder to clean off when its time to fix the amp. and it cracks and chips off on the out side
Man its tragic to see the setting on a shelf. If i win the lottery I'll find out what's your selling price. 😂😢
✌👍

Hi Larry, you're doing it right! Start off with the best antenna you can put up and think about an amplifier after.
antenna first!! your doing the right thing.
Those transistor prices suddenly make 8950s look good...
Traded the big JBL for it???? Not bad at all!!!

Oh yeah the good old Pace amplifiers
@@BoxBuilderIdaho I have a video of it on my channel.

Shouldn't transistors come in an ESD shielded bag? and be handled as an ESDS part?
Nope. That's not how the actual parts dealers in America have done it for 20 years when it comes to these components. The knockoff Chinese components they come in an Esd bag though

yep a spare pill just like the spare in your car. and a few extra parts just in case
I've held that amp it's a beast
? It's only had one owner and I bought it back from him I don't I don't understand what you're saying
@@BoxBuilderIdaho spaceman let me hold it to see how heavy it was
O I understand
@@BoxBuilderIdaho its definitely a work of art good job on it
I wish I had have been patient an had you to make an amp for me instead of the way I went. I got bagged an tagged and I won't say by whom
I just want a base amp... put it together...ive got the money! Or are you tooooooooooooooooo busy for Idaho buyers? Just sayin!!!!
