As someone in aviation industry, I would recommend P/S 890 B pro-seal as the sealant. Which is designed specifically for jet fuel/diesel tank sealant. It's a little bit pricy 2 part sealant but it'll definitely last forever.
Great honest review Mike. I know how frustrating it can be when little problems pop up with something brand new like that. I bought a 20 gal tank with a manual crank style pump a few years back. I was good for about a year and pump started leaking. Hope you can resolve the issues and get some good use out of it. Thanks for sharing. Have a good weekend.
👍Hi Jeff, Yes! I try not to sweat the small stuff, but sometimes they get me! Hoping it will keep plugging along for a while! Appreciate you stopping by! Happy Veterans Day my friend!🇺🇸👊
Great video brother. Been looking at this and have been hesitant to pull the trigger. For the money not a bad setup; but you did a great job of showing the challenges. May be better to keep looking. Great video as always!
Thanks my friend! I tried to cover the issues. I’ll keep you posted. If you have the time, you might check out this video I found today; ua-cam.com/video/69OHLIKYJb8/v-deo.htmlsi=mk4cs9qCF-iiL4De
Nice review. Appreciate your explanation of your experience and I will look another direction for my needs because of your experience. Thanks for the video. -Tod
I've had one for a couple of years with only one issue. Where the fuel hose attaches to the filter assembly, the movement of the hose would like to reverse the threading just enough to cause a drip leak. I remedied the issue by installing a 360-degree swivel fitting.
I've been getting some offers lately and have gotten a couple that fit. I wish Vevor or someone would reach out to me and I would gladly do some videos for them. I definitely need one. Looking sharp in your spectacles today!
I have the exact same tank. I use it every week and it lives in the back of my truck to fill my equipment. I'm currently looking for something mo betta.
Sorry for the late comment Mike. The huge price turned Me off on those. I just use the Battery ones. The one I have is auto shut off. JB Weld Marine version is Fuel resistant. Blue Packaging Is the leak up through the Threads or around the outside between the Brass and the Plastic ?? Mike M.
Thanks Mike! I’ll give the JB Weld a try. It looks and sounds like the leak is between the threads and the plastic. Like under where the screw goes into the threaded piece. 🤷🏼♂️ Hope you had a good thanksgiving!🚜🇺🇸
Hi There! Thanks for! I appreciate you watching and reaching out. My understanding is that it is not approved for gasoline. That is according to their website. Take care!🇺🇸🚜
So after watching the whole video maybe I want someone other than Vevor to send me a tank. ;-) Could you put silicone on that nut hole? If you need to be able to use the threads, thread a bolt in there, then silicone the area?
😅 Hi there! That’s a good idea. I will definitely try to remember to do that! Hopefully I will have some good news to report. Thanks for checking out the video. 🚜🇺🇸
Hi Denis, Thanks for the advice. That is essentially what I did. I used a Marine grade sealant and so far it has worked. Thanks for checking out the video! Cheers🚜🇺🇸
I’m one of the channels that made a positive review of the larger 116 gallon unit. If I had the same leaking diesel problem I would have been upset too. I’ve probably put 400 gallons through mine in the past 3 months and it’s been working very well for me. Great video! New subscriber here!
Hey @landfather, I hear you! I watched a few videos and was sold on it. I have been using the tank and it has been working well. I appreciate you checking out the video and subscribing! Happy New Year!🚜🇺🇸👊💪
@@tractorrookie I’m glad it’s been working well enough for you. I’m a big Kioti guy too. I have a DK5310SE (recently did a review of it) and I just absolutely love it. Glad I found your channel!
@LandFather Nice! I work part time at my local dealership. An employee discount comes in handy for a retired guy! I went over subscribed to your channel. 👊💪🚜
Interesting, hopefully, they'll improve their product.🤞 Every home should have something like this, especially for those gas generators we need during a power outage. PS. Is 'Larry' missing his jumpsuit? 🤣
😂👊Hi Lacy! You are the first to catch the “Larry”! I actually bought the jump suit from a lady in Montana listed on marketplace. Love that insulated jump suit in the cold. 😅🚜🇺🇸Thanks for stopping by! Happy Veterans Day!!!
@@tractorrookie Any jumpsuit from Montana has got to keep you warm. 🥵 FYI: Please be careful when filming near your vehicles as the license plate might show up. 🚙Time stamp 10:12 Hope y'all are well ~ Take care
@lacy5890 😜👊Yes! You are right about Montana and keeping warm. I have never worried about showing my plates in ads or on videos. I’m not really sure why people worry about covering their plates. I’m pretty sure we can all be found if someone applies any effort. Thanks for all the love!😍🇺🇸🚜
@@tractorrookie True ~ no one is safe from anyone who wants to find them. Thinking about it, I believe hiding a plate number or other identifying item is mostly done in TV programs or news reporting. And again, we're never safe from anyone.
I've bought a couple Vevor products. Yes, their customer service is terrible because of them being Chinese and not really caring if the product is working to 100% of its advertised capabilities. They are kind of like HF, it's a crap shoot if you get a good one or not.
😅Hi Craig! Hey I appreciate your feedback and prospective. I probably should have done more research. Thanks for checking out the video! Happy thanksgiving!🦃 🚜🇺🇸
Some common sense fixes, thread sealant on the screws for the plate, reverse polarity and run pump post fill to drain the hose, much less than a $300 fix, you got of way ahead.
Hey Dan! A fix it guy! I like it. Yes, I got to the point where it felt like it would be worth keeping and messing with it. Thanks for checking it out and commenting!! Happy Veterans Day!🚜🇺🇸
Take that metal tab off, then clean it and the mating surface on the tank with brake cleaner spray, then put Permatex "right stuff" gasket maker on it and quickly reassemble while caulk is wet, then let dry. It won't leak anymore.
Hi Bob! Thanks for the tip. I fixed it in a very similar way as you suggested. It has been working well, no leaks. I appreciate you checking out the video. Take care!🇺🇸🚜
Good honest review, hopefully some fuel proof epoxy or something on those threads will fix it up. Nice meeting you today Mike.
😅 Thanks Buddy! I appreciate you taking the time to stop by the tractor store! Best wishes to you and yours! Be safe!🚜🇺🇸🌲
Thank you for this information! I've been considering one of these to fill the tractor and mini-ex. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts on it.

It works for gasoline too?

That’s what I’m going to try. I assume there is some out there that is fuel resistant. I’ll let you know how it goes.
my husband saw an add for $39 ?
I’d buy 10 at that price. It’s working well now that the hole is fixed. Cheers 🚜🇺🇸
