Greetings, Great Video. Can you please advise how can payroll / wages can be tagged so that payroll cost is taken into account while analyzing the profitability of a particular event.
Both tags and classes can help categorize transactions in QuickBooks, but in different ways. Classes are typically used to categorize transactions into different segments of the business (like departments or locations) and are ideal for businesses that need to track account balances by department, location, or project. Tags are a flexible way to track your money and are used for more temporary or more granular categorization (like tracking a specific event). Unlike classes, tags don't affect your books and aren't included in your chart of accounts. They are simply a tool for sorting and viewing your data in a way that works for you.
are the tags visible to the client? for example if we tag an invoice with the customer type then we email them the invoice to pay, do they see our tag categories for them or only viewed within quickbooks?
Hi Joel! I don't love classes, so I'll probably not do a video on that. Maybe see if Hector has a video on it? He has a really great video on tags, and that at end up accomplishing the same goal for you?
I'm new to qbo, I'm not an accountant, but if I tag things, for example, could I do it by job. For example, I own a cleaning company, can I tag the jobs janitorial, one time, deep cleans, airbnb, etc?
Thanks for all of this great QBO content! Are you aware that the discount link in your description about only offers the regular 50% off for 3 months, but not the 12 month discount? Perhaps they are not allowing that any longer? Thanks in advance for any response!
Hmmm - can you explain what is happening a bit further? Did you click on the offer and you didn't see the 12 month discount? When I go here: quickbooks.intuit.com/partners/irp/?cid=irp-33164 I see the discount. Maybe try it in another browser if you aren't seeing it? Please report back, because I want you to get the bigger discount! If all else fails, I can get you signed up on the back-end.
Thank u.. I will use it for my Fix n Flip business.. it’s awesome info
Helpful for me.

is there a way to tag all my invoices in one transaction?
What would be difference between using TAGS and Classes. It looks like they can achieve the same thing? When would you use them together or would you?

It's too bad that you can't tag line items on a bill.
I hope they expand out the tagging a bit more!
