The beastlike 208 T16 Pikes Peak got a chance at last to stretch its legs for the first time outside the confines of Peugeot Sport's factory or a closely guarded circuit thanks to a recent test in the south of France.
For Sébastien Loeb and the team alike, the run provided an opportunity to perform a dress rehearsal before June's trip to the USA for the 2013 Pikes Peak Hill Climb in Colorado.

Sick cinematography
It is a hydraulically actuated gearbox. The control unit works the clutch, changes the gear ratio and adjusts the engine revs to produce smooth gear changes. There is no physical clutch pedal, only an electrical switch (potentiometer) to act the clutch, similar to the triggers on the Xbox
If only this hadn't been edited by a 16 year old without a driving licence, it could have been a spectacular video! And even then, it is still awesome. Can't wait to see him hit the US in this car.

It's just a teaser for the actual race, I think it is does well on getting you exited to see the race. :)
Look at other videos of this car. The engine does not scream, it has a very monotone engine note. This is because the car works in low air density.

It's a splitter. It's like a spoiler, but than on the bumper yes. It creates downforce which increases car stability and grip. This way you will be able to go through the corners faster :)

That's a very strange thing to say and pretty untrue. This car sounds totally different to most other cars out there. It sounds strange because it is low revving due to the air density at altitude. It means the engine has to run in a very narrow engine speed range. The sound is dulled because the turbocharger is reclaiming a lot of energy from the exhaust gases.
