    How many 3-digit natural numbers (using non-zero digits without repetition) are there such that the middle digit is always the smallest, and the number is divisible by 5?

      @@lakshman1318 the key points to be noted down are 1. Non zero digits (so remove all the 100,200,300....) 2. No repetition (so remove 111,222,333,....919, 515,....) 3. Divisible by 5...so the number has to end either with 5 or 0 but as per condition 0 cant come so let's take the numbers ending with 5 alone 4.The middle number is smallest so in 100s series will be entirely removed bcz 121 is itself makes the middle number higher.... let's start from 200s the only number satisfying the above conditions will be 215, bcz 225 makes the middle digit not the smallest. Like wise work for all the 300s ( 315, 325) 400s (415,425, 435) till 900s and 500s will be entirely rejected bcz there will be repetition of 5 in digits. By following this You will get only 22 natural numbers
