@@jfloxkkNo, but your save data will. If it’s a game like RDR2 you’ll need to install the game with the install disc.
The same thing happened to me and I had to erase all my info. It gave me no choice
I hope he didn't charge that much. 1tb toshibas only cost $30-40 usd...
@@jfloxkk In response to the others, yes any save data will be lost when replacing a hard drive, but sometimes it can be recovered from the hdd. Depends on how bad it is. A good practice is to upload save files to the cloud or to a usb stick as a backup.

Never happens for me, it's normally a power outage or the power grid killing itself, out on prairie land and marsh it sucks
Mainly in bad weather conditions but I'm up in Canada where it rains and snows a lot and in the summer it's not a bother but I'm in a city of 80,000 and 20 minutes drive from the main city of 1.46 million so it's probably prioritized being fixed there first lol

@Lion Possibly, or it could just be nervous energy and he didn't know what to do with his hands. Some people get on camera and suddenly all rational thought eludes them, so they then get nervous and do some awkward things. Hopefully, it's all innocent! This is the worst case scenario. The power cord comes out at the wrong time, then the system software is F*cked up, try to reflash, it fails and it turns out the whole hard drive is f*cked. Install a new hard drive and reflash the software, and the PS4 is fixed.
