This popped up on my feed because I’m a woodworker. I’m 47 but I totally used to play DnD when I was younger! All the time! Well done. 👍
I’m a huge dnd nerd that is trying to make my way into the woodworking world. Thank you for this video!
Love to hear it! DnD and woodworking could keep you busy for years and years to come :)
Great work. Love the dice tray idea. I used to play D&D back in high school days. I really need some new tools. I'm disabled and am so scared to invest in hand tools to find out I couldn't use them without hurting myself. 7 spine surgeries. So it is super slow go on power tools. My heart is in hand tool work though.
Hats off to you for thicknessing those boards by hand. Fun video and build. Thanks!
Found your video as I was searching for dice trays, and had to comment on what a great video. I too am a woodworker and gaming nerd so I love to see videos where the two meet.
Love to hear it! This dice tray is being used every week in the Rime of the Frostmaiden Campaign i’m running. I based the dimensions off of Wyrmwood’s dice tray. Cheers, Shane!
You got a like and comment for the old school D&D.
Love D&D!
So I'm just getting back into D&D from a long absence ('86) and, of course, all my dice are long gone. So I've been a good Dice Goblin and collecting new sets and realized that my desk will be a great place to lose said dice to the ether. So, as I wanted to get back into wood working as well, I started looking for D&D related projects. This should do nicely after I get my shop back in working order.
Thanks for the inspiration!
Love the lighting in this video and the final product is amazing! Nice work 😊
Thank you so much!
Absolutely beautiful 👍
Thanks, Keith!
Wow, you're not just a wood nerd, you're also a nerd nerd! Love that! I have some of the same dice! In the woodworking group I'm in (related to Rex Krueger) there all shades and ages of nerds.
haha, yup! I’ve been DMing a digital campaign with friends since covid hit. It’s always a highlight of my week. This box was inspired by Wyrmwood’s designs. They always have some really clean designs
@@NicTaylorWoodworking I've been playing for thirty years on and off. I play once weekly (when we can make it work), online at the moment of course.
I’ve only played for a few years, but I hope to keep things going. super fun!
@@NicTaylorWoodworking Oh, by the way, it's a super nice dice tray you made! Very crisp dovetails. Completely forgot to say that because of, well, nerdism :^D Keep on nerding (both one and the other)!
haha, thanks!
Beautiful project Nic, I especially like the proud & chamfered dovetails. I'm wondering why you didn't rip the sides instead of planing them down.
👍👍👍
