Nice! Aldershot orphan, 5 Airborne Brigade ... The first real family I ever had ... 18yrs after leaving the Army I still thrill knowing i'm a part of the hardest, high tempo, most ally and jaw droppingly crazy family of brothers in the fucking world! Long live the Emperors of 16 Air Assault Brigade.
Super slick Mike, this wee mini series has been a breath of fresh air about the recruitment process for the Parachute Regiment ... Hopefully it will encourage those who have what it takes to go further and have a crack at P Company ....
Surely this footage will inspire young boys to think the Para’s could be what their needing to give a go leaving school , not knowing what they want to do , this series has been a great insight of what it takes to get the maroon beret , just like my boy , he wasn’t wanting to work in a factory, wasn’t sure what he wanted till he hit 18 ……….dad I’m going to join the para’s and he’s never looked back
@@briancunningham1975 lol, age is not the issue for me, medical conditions would not allow me to join, which is a shame because joining the military was my plan B lol.
i’m joining up soon but a part of me regrets not trying to push for that P company at the assessment centre when i know i could’ve gone further. this makes me feel like this is a way to be the best thing i could possibly be
Never joined the full time army but did a few years in the cadets, had marksman class with a LE .303, could hit a 2x1 inch target at 200yds but just couldn't run lol.....
I think I did all arms P company in 86, was the fan dance not part of P company? Also what is the route of the fan dance, start and finish point, how many times is it over the summit?
@@benhorsley5567 he is not wrong bud, his dramatization really takes away from the core aspect of p company. People watching this will not have any perception of how hard it really is, As it's impossible to convey over video mate
Passed P Coy in 67.Hardest part was getting up every day and convincing myself I could do it.Well done lads. The Maroon Machine is in good hands.
Nice!

Thanks mate, appreciate the feedback. Hopefully we spark an interest for some young potential PARAs 🇬🇧🆎️
@@MikeThwaite Sorry to chime in Mike, but do DS frown upon older recruits in general, or can they be a breath of fresh air?
@@117Industries no mate, everyone's judged on their individual merits. I've replied to your other comment with a link for you to follow 👊

He's back again
Now Dan Jarvis is new government security minister I think this set of P Company videos needs to be front and center of recruitment. Excellent.
An appetite whetting teaser for Air Assault crew. We hope the see one for Pathfinders soon after too.
Outstanding Mike, well done 🇬🇧💪
