I really recommend checking out the r/AppleSwap subreddit if you're open to purchasing a used iPad. I've bought and sold apple products from there before and I've never had a bad experience. You usually get a good price and the seller will include their accessories as a part of the sale. Be aware, if you're going to buy the iPad new, there will be a major refresh in the spring of 2024, so if you can wait that long then maybe consider waiting for the totally new models.

You convinced me to buy an iPad Pro & pencil. I had this feeling I was splurging on something that was a bit of a waste of money but it has actually made me so much more productive. I use it more than both my iphone and my MacBook. I really appreciate your videos

I have an iPad and love it. I am not really an Apple fan but the iPad is God's gift for staying organized and for learning complex subjects.
I got an iPad for Christmas (literally watching this video on it right now) so this is very helpful as I’ll be using it for college.
I really like the way u take ~aesthetic~ notes which helps u study without getting bored at all! And now, I definitely think of getting an ipad for school after watching this video😁

i'm going to buy an ipad tomorrow (hopefully) for uni so this is really helpful. i bought one in 2020 but only used it for a month before it got stolen and FINALLY saved up enough to buy it now. As a med student, its so frustrating when i go through papers at the speed of light and end up filling multiple journals. i also tend to lose papers so having everything in one place is really convinient. i hope these features are available on ipad 7th gen

When you start school though don’t just get an iPad for the aesthetic or just for the sake of it. Wait a few months when get into graduate school and use handwritten notes first to see if that works for you, instead of spending money on something you might not even need. Also there are so many hidden costs behind an iPad, it’s not just the iPad and pencil, it’s the case, the screen protector, replacement tips for the Apple Pencil because paper like screen protectors wear down the apple tip, and so many more not to mention the upkeep of the iPad itself, and good notes 5, which in the uk at least is £8.99 a month. I don’t mean to scare you, just to be honest with you so you know what you’re getting into. If you end up not needing an iPad then it’ll be a huge waste of money for you, so don’t impulsively jump into it straight away, wait a bit and try out alternative, cheaper methods to see what actually works for you. Good luck making your choice!

Edit: As a grad student, I'm unsure whether to get the iPad 9th Gen or the iPad air. I'm a stem student so it's mainly for study purposes. The 9th gen should be able to fulfill all my purposes. I just found the pencil charging aspect a bit weird compared to the apple pencil 2 for iPad air
@@samchau3476 i haven’t gotten one yet! i’m still waiting for my grad application results LOL 😭 but since i’m going for a masters in comp.lit, ill probably get the ipad air because i like writing my notes and would benefit from having them digitally and being able to write on books digitally, but i don’t need the processing power of something like the pro

Just bought my iPad lol I’m enjoying this so far also i really like the apple pen. It’s very light so it’s very convenient for school instead of a heavy laptop.

Love that I watched this video and this is the 1st year that I am not a student 😅. My favourite app for Samsung devices is Samsung notes and I love using my tablet throughout university
I have an Ipad Air 5th generation because I got it in 2022 just to have, mostly for Procreate. Anyway, I just got accepted into college, and I plan on using it for class. I'm so excited.
Oh, if you can afford it, I recommend the IPad Air. It's the best of both worlds (base or Pro). The lady at my local ATT shop was really honest with me when I got my Ipad, she didn't let me over spend just for extra features and a bigger screen. Features I know wouldn't have used anyway. (Ipad pro).
I'm glad I went with the Air, plus they have cute colors, I got purple 💜

I actually have the iPad Air 5 2022 for now 1 year and I love it I thinks this is actually the best iPad to get you have the second gen of the apple pencil the Magic Keyboard is to available with a good processor anyways I love taking love with my iPad ! Your video is so useful tysm

I would add BURGA cases on the iPad cause it makes it look even better. I have matching ones for my iPad, phone and MacBook and they look increadible.
As a student: these are some notes about using an iPad
I love using the Magic Keyboard when I need to write an essay in word or test a piece of code in swift playgrounds, although it is not worth the price unless (like me) you can find one cheaper 2nd hand, a Bluetooth keyboard would do it for most people
I agree that most people would be happy with the Base IPad, however I use an iPad Pro since I need the extra performance
Scribble is really helpful as it converts my messy writing into readable text, which saves about an hour later trying to understand my bad writing
I agree, an iPad is a must have for students :)

I have an iPad Air and I use it for school and they say it’s best you get an iPad and take notes with the Apple Pencil and more east to use than a regular pen or pencil and I study with my iPad for my exams and in books when you finish it your gonna have to buy another book but in the iPad you just need to create a new page and start writing but in some apps they have the microphone option which allows you to speak and it will write the things down whatever your saying. I rate the iPad 10/10😁

I finally got an iPad AFTER the fact that I graduated from my trade school. I really wish I would’ve had this back then instead of having tons of notebooks that I ended up losing or ended up throwing out. But definitely plan on going back to school soon and will be using my iPad. No more just using notebook/papers 😭

anyone else struggling with wrist/finger pain after using the apple pencil a lot? Feels so heavy and it eventually got so bad I've been forced to wear a wristbrace to let the tendons and wrist rest. Curious to hear your experiences.

Great video, Rina 🎉 I have some new apps to check out…I love using Libby with the library card. I have upgraded to the iPad Pro couple years back that have the second generation Apple Pencil and I prefer it. The 2nd Gen Apple Pencil charges so fast…I wish I had that when I was studying, but I enjoy my iPad now with lots of your planners, journals, stickers and more. You are my favorite digital creator and all your products work so wonderfully With GoodNote : which is favorite note taking/planning/scanning app. 🎉

Which is better between a Samsung galaxy tab or ipad? Bc I feel like life span for a tab is around 4-5 y from research and iPad is 8+ y according to research but from experience it’ll get laggy just the same(?) and for tab you prob have to buy the Microsoft apps and notes? But iPad (may not function fully) but have free Microsoft apps and some note apps?

I just graduated this summer and I would never made it through all those years of college without my ipad n iphone! I would beg my parents to get me one. But I am 59 so 😂 ps not my first degree. I wish I had one for those degrees would have been nice!

Yeyy i finally got an ipad after 3 years
Goodnotes saving a lot of trees! 🌳 ❤ now if we could get stores who print unnecessary mile long receipts that go straight into the trash bin on board!

Although I would love to get an ipad, I am currently faced with the choice of macbook or ipad. I am leaning towards the macbook due to the significant increase in power in the macbook, and the typing experience. macbooks are also thin and portable, though i am missing the touchscreen element. i am upgrading from a surface, and although i love the surface, there isn't a wide array of note taking apps, so i am unsure which one to choose! i honestly want both 😭
I own a MacBook and I honestly hate it. I have a M1 chip and it lags a lot. I use for school only. Appt set up for swap. I’m going with the iPad Pro. I’m glad I came across this video for reassurance! I need touchscreen too!
