As a twin I would say girl/boy. I constantly feel compared to my twin and we are always grouped into one person. So if you do have twins be sure to refer to them as individuals and not group them. We always are called like “cam, Jordan, twins!” (Cam and Jordan are my other siblings). And there has been research to show that the grouping of twins can harmfully effect their mental health.
I’m having b/g twins in august and this is my biggest fear of them not feeling like individual people. Thank you for sharing this 🖤
I am a twin mom and even before they were born, I told everyone that we were not gonna group them in. The only way I’ve grouped them in is with the name of the channel I’m commenting from. Other wise it’s “Nathan!, Noah!, come eat!” Y’know? Reading your comment reassured me that I am doing good with them being individuals instead of “the twins”

Yeah my mom refused to reference my twin siblings (b/g) as “the twins”. They definitely both have their own personalities, they’re different sizes they just happen to be born on the same day. However they do have this bond between them like none other in the family which I love for them ❤️
Gosh! I had the same situation and I am not even a twin!. It was always Kamil(my brother's name)and GIRLS. That caused me low self esteem and difficulty to establish boundaries.
My sister was a surrogate & she celebrates the birth day every year for the baby she carried, & their families go on vacation together every summer! The little girl knows mommy couldn’t carry her inside so someone helped her come into the world. It’s a special thing. ❤

I am too! However me and my twin brother are polar opposites and unfortunately now that we don't live together we don't talk as much as I'd hope :/ High school seemed to push us apart a lot. We were so close in elementary and middle school tho

Between sharing a car, the raging testosterone from puberty in him and his friends/teammates making inappropriate comments about me in front of him all the time it seemed like he just tried to avoid me as much as he could like me being seen with him was embarrassing 😂 we're all good now and I know he's always got my back the closeness just isn't quite there anymore

They haven't yet agreed on using 2 eggs. Also they'll only be called twins if one of the embryos split. They won't be twins because they're just 1 embryo. Why does everyone keep saying they'd be having twins when they're not. They would just be born on the same day. You can't implant twinsbin your uterus

my dads did a similar process when i was born except they used a donor for both the sperm and the egg. i think it’s amazing that you guys are documenting this process. i’ve never seen this process laid out so it’s amazing to see. i love you guys and i love seeing your excitement! it’s like seeing the excitement that my parents went through. good luck ❤️🥰

@@Vees2219 i have not. all i know ab my biological mother is where she was when she donated the egg and i have a picture of her from the side. i did an ancestry test so i have that info but other than that nothing else
The mchusbands documented their full process and did a great job from donor to conception birth and beyond
The living Rosa channel has documented their journey from how they met, got married and the process of doing IVF to get eggs from one mother (Tara) getting a sperm donor and then the other wife went through the process of preparing her body for the embryo transfer, the pregnancy and birth of their 4 girls. They are an incredible family and I have loved following their channel and family grow and change over the last 4 years. I discovered them though the mchusband channel. Check them out.
Not to be disrespectful just wanting to learn if there taking a egg and sperm why didn’t they just adopt I figure when they use the sperm or egg for gay couples it’s to get dna from one of them but if there using then why not adopt a new born or something like that

I’m a fraternal twin (conceived through IVF) and while me and my sister are best friends now, growing up was a completely different story. Sometimes it’s difficult going through life at the exact same time as someone else because it can feel like you don’t have anything that’s truly your own. A lot of the time this stems from constant comparisons made by family members, teachers, peers etc in relation to personality traits, grades, looks etc. In my situation, my sister and I are the complete opposite: I’m shy, she’s extroverted, and we look absolutely nothing alike. While this is good as it allows us to have a bit more individuality, when outsiders begin to ‘compare and contrast’ us in a way that doesn’t necessarily happen with typical siblings, it can lead competition and tension. The best advice I can give is if you do have twins, make sure they are known for who they are and not just collectively as ‘the twins’. Take them places separately and allow them to know that they are valued as an individual and not just because they are a twin. I think if my family had adopted that approach, I would have been a lot happier growing up☺️
I am an identical twin and I can’t agree more with what you said. Yes to everything you said x 100. My sister and I have been constantly compared our whole lives and it’s led to a lot of issues growing up and now as adults we are working through the trauma. We are also absolute best friends and we have been from day one. When we were born they couldn’t get my heart rate down and as soon as they put us together my heart rate went back to normal. She’s been my human pacifier since then and I love her to pieces even when she drives me nuts. We definitely are codependent even at 26 but we are learning to be our own individuals now. We own a house together and even have dogs that are half brothers that are a year apart 😂 . All this to say I love being a twin but it’s not without it’s challenges. I would choose to have her and be a twin over and over again.

I heard of even twins that if one twin is hurt, the other can feel it somehow even if they're apart... I do believe it's true because I met twins and they swore they could read each other's minds, they were identical twins and sure enough they guess things correctly and I also heard somewhere on the internet that that's not all twins share though I don't believe this to be true but who knows but online it said that twins are soul mates and I also didn't know that there are different types of soul mates not just one kind like we all know, that ur destined to end up with forever in all eternity ... Who knows really but I do agree that twins are unique and share a special bond
