Holy shit this was incredibly helpful. Every other video I've watched or article I read it wanted me to either hold down fn and spam f9 and that obviously didn't work for some reason or it wanted me to hold down the volume up and power button at the same time. Neither method worked at all. This method worked beautifully. You saved this laptop from being obliterated

After MANY tries, I finally got this to work. On my machine, I'd click on the SHIFT key but when I went to the start section, the shift key unloaded. So I found, get it setup ready to restart, then select SHIFT key, then restart. Even then it took many tries but finally did work. Thank you.

This worked perfectly for me with my old Linx windows tablet, there was only one thing a little different. To get the on screen keyboard I had to press the icon that looks like a timer, on my Linx screen it was right beside the on screen power button and wifi sign. The Tablet does need a certain amount of free space to do the restore, most tablets, PC's will have enough, but unfortunately some don't because the original user has already used that space for their files. I am working on a solution

When I hit Troubleshoot the screen displays two options unrelated to the displays you get. 1 - UEFI Firmware Settings and 2 - Startup Settings. Either choice results in a normal boot, no reset options. Dell Venue Pro 10 5055
