Truely a shame, I really loved how the Alien could learn your regular hidding spots. One time I hided in a closet instead of my usual hide under the desk to see it with horror look under the desk I was planning to hide under a few seconds before. XD That was the first time I saw the ability of the AI to learn I heard about. ^^ And Alien: Blackout being at a footnote level can't really be counted as a sequel even if it does exist (tablets and phones only). Was a nice little thing but way too short.
Arcanum! Best written story I've ever seen in a game (though most players never got that far because of all the bugs), a very incentivising level-up system, an open world with tons of options, and most of all a unique and cozy steampunk world that you could build lots of stuff upon - but no one has. An uncut gem that marks some of my strongest game memories.
Dang, that takes me back. The main thing I remember about the game was the time I played a necromancer, killed I think the dorf king, and got the relevant plot details from his ghost. Kinda tempted to try playing it again, but not sure how well it holds up to time. Also an ended that actually cared about the choices you made! Sided with a crime boss in a city? Find out what consequences that had! One main issue I remember is a cave nearish the start with a near impossible to beat golem thing in the way. Hard to just run past, and could one hit kill most characters at that point.
@@aaronstead2361 If you enjoy retro, it's still playable! Do install the "Unofficial Arcanum patch" from Terra Arcana (some private person who calls themselves Drog Black Tooth and who's been around four ages). Once you're through, the story catches on more and more.

Brute Force for the original XBOX, maybe I just played it so much as a kid, but the mechanic of being literal clones who collect their own DNA for cash after dying was always pretty cool to me. That and unlocking new species to play as by collecting their DNA was sweet.
There's a few but Enslaved Odyssey to the West is one game I'd love to see a sequel to. I do agree with Andy though, Bully is way better than GTA. It'd be nice to see another Bully in some form, maybe seeing as it's been so long a sequel with a new character? I also enjoyed L.A Noire more as well, but sadly I don't get to see many detective games, particularly in this format. I might also add, although these are already sequels been made, since they did a remaster of the Phoenix Wright trilogy, as someone who hasn't played the originals I'd loved to see the others remastered onto modern consoles.

The funny thing about that is Ms. Pacman IS the sequel! And it's often accounted as better than the original. Pacman 2 is just the victim of bad naming conventions.
I always found it a crime that Star Wars: Republic Commando didn't get a sequel, it would be so cool to see Delta squad would have done during order 66, and without one of their brothers.
How about Force Unleashed 3? Complete inversion of regular color dynamic with Dark Side being focused and calculating while Light Side is passionate and distracted.

Beyond Good and Evil needs it's long awaited sequel, we've waited so long. The first game was amazing, so much we bought it twice, once on Game Cube, then the HD version on PlayStation.
For me it's a tie between that, the original Godfather, and L.A. Noire. And I am talking strictly in riding around city freestyle things, three of them were so fun!
Fun fact: Sleeping Dogs is the third game in a series, the True Crime series. Sleeping Dogs may not have the "True Crime" title, but it was initially intended to be one. All three games feature an undercover cop, an open world in a real location, a mix of hand to hand combat with special moves and gun combat, as well as a slow motion feature.
Rockstar needs more studios, i hate how they're only making GTA and Red Dead content, they have all these IPs(Max Payne, Bully, LA Noire etc.) that would make great games but they arent making them because they're preoccupied.

Simpsons Hit and Run and Haven: Call of the King deserved sequels. And if we're talking unknown PS2 games you can add Portal Runner to that list
I was really confused there trying to figure out why I didn't remember a Simpsons game called "Hit and Run and Haven: Call of the King".
@@SteveDice21 simpsons hit and run is a game and haven call of the king Is another game.
@@amyschildgamerlive4519 I think they only meant they were confused at first.
Kingdoms of Amalor is severely underrated and totally deserves a sequel.
Okay Ellen, can I please see my family again. Pretty please?
- Luke (probably)
It was too obvious. But it would've been a great choice for this video.
I can't believe Prey isn't on this list! It was so good, and the sequel looked like it was going to be so cool, but it got canceled a long time ago! Such a shame!
Yeah, because no one wants to be a space bounty hunter, do they Bethesda? Sorry about the sarcasm. I'm still salty about that one.
Bungled transfer of IP from 3D Realms got it stuck in developmental hell for like 8 years! Still a damn shame. And 2017's Prey really has nothing to do with it save the name.
@@MorinehtarTheBlue oh, whoops, this is awkward. I was actually talking about the 2017 game. Heheh. They confirmed they're not making a sequel for it even though it clearly set up one at the end of the game.
@@Jijijijijij5 Differing definitions of a long time ago then. No worries. It seems the name or 'series' is well and truly cursed.
@@MorinehtarTheBlue well technically there's nothing that says it has to have been a long wait. Just that it never got a sequel lol
Seeing Jade Empire made my heart swell. God, I loved it.
Alien: Isolation was awesome. So underrated and deserving of a sequel. It was so unnerving.
At least we got a DLC.
Truely a shame, I really loved how the Alien could learn your regular hidding spots. One time I hided in a closet instead of my usual hide under the desk to see it with horror look under the desk I was planning to hide under a few seconds before. XD
That was the first time I saw the ability of the AI to learn I heard about. ^^
And Alien: Blackout being at a footnote level can't really be counted as a sequel even if it does exist (tablets and phones only). Was a nice little thing but way too short.
@@Nekoyashiki-san I feel you man.But honestly,I'll take the joy of1 good game over the disappointment of 2 more bad games.
It's reliable and really does fix game-breaking bugs without adding anything you wouldn't like.
I think that exact golem stopped me on my first attempt at a play-through. My technodwarf could deal with it using an insane amount of bombs, and I think magic can do the trick, but for some characters it might need some leveling up before you venture through the mines. Once you're through, the story catches on more and more.
Bulletstorm will always be an underrated gem to me. Loved it and was sincerely looking forward to a sequel, but it's a shame that it'll never happen.
Finally! A comment that's talking about my favorite game as well!
I have throw Enslaved: Odyssey to the West into the ring here; a blockbuster-esque story, fun action adventure and platforming gameplay, a beautiful post-post-apocalyptic wasteland, and you even got to beat up robots shirtless.
well at least we got Horizon Zero Dawn.
That game was so good!
That was one of my favourite PS3 games
It was supposed to get a sequel, but they canceled it.
Ah yeah, Jade Empire was a banger. The only game I ever bought for a game console I never owned. My roommate at the time owned an Xbox and I bought Jade Empire and borrowed his Xbox when he'd let me.
We bought an Xbox because of Jade Empire.
Bully deserves a sequel just for that slick Halloween Hugo Boss suit
if they make a sequel to sleeping dogs there are a few things we need
-larger open world map
-improve driving
-more mini games and side activities like in yakuza games
The ways you know this is not an Outside Xtra video: 1) no Kingdoms of Amalur 2) It says Outsidexbox under the video
3) Luke and Ellen are both absent.
Heavenly Sword deserves a spot on this list. Fantastic game.
An honorable mention to Half-Life 2: Episode Two -- even if "Half-Life 3" still remains pretty dead even as a meme.
To further flog that dead horse, Team Fortress 3, Portal 3, Left 4 Dead 3...
@@blainy-o93 well, left 4 Dead 3 is coming out, albeit under a different name, and with different characters and settings (to be fair 1 & 2 differentiated some things as well). But it's the same studio that made it.
Also, HL3 has more chances than even Jade Empire 2.
There's the VR one Alyx now, which is meant to be great.
@@tomread8748 I can attest that it is great. But it's not a sequel.
On a spoilery side note though, Alyx does tease a continuation to Gordon Freeman's adventures, but we're still talking about Valve here. Even with some of their newfound momentum it will take time.
Legend of the dragoon needs a Sequel :c
Andy has an everlasting love of Sleeping Dogs, I have an undying love for Golden Sun and will forever lament the cruelty of Dark Dawn ending on a massive sequel hook and knowing Camelot will be slaving away on Mario sports games instead.
"What are you gonna do Rockstar?"
Rockstar has added OutsideXbox to the Bad Sports pool.
They'll make a disgusting in game cocktail Andy is then required to try XD
+ for Jade Empire! Even a remake, updating the controls and graphics. Jade Empire was a favorite RPG for me at that time. I would really enjoy adding some more combat styles as well.
We need a prequel to Bulletstorm set in the 80's; Mulletstorm.
Party at the top - DEATH AT THE BACK!
Oh, ! Puns that only work written down - chef's kiss
We need a sequel to bulletstorm set around fallout 76, shitstorm 🤣.
How about a jade empire livestream while we demand a sequel?
Jade Empire was awesome, and definitely deserved a sequel set in the same world! Two Rivers was so pretty I was ready to move there and it was wonderful to be able to play a game where my avatar actually looked a bit like me. Silk Fox was always my OTP...
Pacman 2 is amazing!! "Look! Look!" I have so many fond memories of that game, it was essentially a point and click adventure, that let you fight every once in a while to eat ghosts.
The funny thing about that is Ms. Pacman IS the sequel! And it's often accounted as better than the original. Pacman 2 is just the victim of bad naming conventions.
Same lol i like it
I always found it a crime that Star Wars: Republic Commando didn't get a sequel, it would be so cool to see Delta squad would have done during order 66, and without one of their brothers.
Jade empire is one of the reason why the original Xbox is my favorite console of all time
Star Wars Republic Commando god damn it!
Ikr!
How about Force Unleashed 3? Final boss fight would be against Dark Side Starkiller wielding one, ragged cleanly lined and blue lightsaber while Light Side Starkiller would wield two ragged-looking red lightsabers. Complete inversion of regular color dynamic with Dark Side being focused and calculating while Light Side is passionate and distracted.
I always felt that Dragon's Dogma should get a sequel
I have Jade Empire permanently installed on my PC because it's just that good. Really wish they's make a sequel. :-/
Am I the only one hoping for another Max Payne game? The last one was so brilliant, had an amazing plot filled with plot twists, and lots of great slow-mo gunplay.
Haven: Call of the King. Decent fantasy, interesting lead, and it was doing an open world at 60fps back in the earlier PS2 days.
Where’s Star Wars republic commando that game was legendary
Yeah this is the exact game I was expecting to see! That or KotOR 3! It's a travesty we never got sequels
Yeah, we really need Imperial Commando and/or Rebel Commando.
What no Kingdoms of Amalur?? Ellen will hear of this outrage!
Overrated if anything. Need more dragons dogma though

god jade empire deserves more sequals, just not by the former shell of bioware
Well Bioware is revamping the Mass Effect series, who knows they might revamp other old series. Jade Empire remastered followed by Jade Empire 2 onwards could be right around the corner.
BULLETSTOOOOORM! It crushes my soul knowing that cliffhanger will hang forever.
if this was an oxtra vid, we'd just have 7 Kingdoms of Amalur entry
Bulletstorm was flipping fabulous. My friends and I still occasionally quote it.
"So that's how she got that limp"
@@Dream146 Waggleton P Tallywhacker is also the best thing ever. Has any game ever shown such pure joy? He's sooo excited about the remote control.
I still haven’t completed Alien: Isolation, but would love a sequel! With the number of digital copies and physical copies that have been sold since it’s release, it SHOULD garner some attention toward a sequel. The game is frustrating, but so well done!
idk if i'll ever be over the fact that we'll never get a direct continuation of tales from the borderlands 😭
This. That's the one. At least it's back to the stores and getting some media coverage, I hope more people discover and enjoy it!
If the glorified military recruitment tool that is Six Days In Fallujah can get revived years later then any one of these great games can surely get a sequel
Beyond Good and Evil needs it's long awaited sequel, we've waited so long. The first game was amazing, so much we bought it twice, once on Game Cube, then the HD version on PlayStation.
_Sleeping Dogs_ is the best Grand Theft Auto game ever made.
For me it's a tie between that, the original Godfather, and L.A. Noire. And I am talking strictly in riding around city freestyle things, three of them were so fun!
Ots neither its True crimes thats its on series
This whole list was originally going to be rockstar games wasnt it? “Bully” ,”LAnoir”,”the warriors” “the original red dead revolver...
Maybe...but at least that would explain why there’s no psychonots
@@thesephiam I believe there is a Psychonauts 2.
Plot Twist: they were going to make a second list of non sequel games but never did......
18:03 Even better than Red Dead!
What have you done with the real Andy?!
Ghost Trick deserves some sort of a mention. Not everyone's cuppa tea, I know, but I love that game
It's an absolute CRIME that there was only one Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective game.
Sleeping Dogs was such a great game
„Games that never got a sequel“
sees Gears of War 3
*confused Gears of War 4 noises*
Gears 4 story was garbage tho lol
even the sequel got a sequel lmao
The moment Okami ended I longed for a sequel. Okamiden doesn't really count since 80% of it is just Okami again.
Suprised they didn't use any of Ellen's fear academy for the Alien Isolation portion
I was legit thinking of Jade Empire when I saw the title. Eternally stuck between "I want a Jade Empire sequel" and "But not by EA controlled Bioware"
my thoughts exactly dude, downright amazing game owned currently by terrible companies.
if only a company that legit cared got their hands on it, it could be so amazing.
@@maskedkittyMC Honestly it isn't so much that I don't trust Bioware to not do a good job (I'm one of those if weirdos who actually LIKED Andromeda, Anthem on the other hand belongs in the trash)
But I don't trust Bioware to not crunch their employees with "Bioware Magic" and I don't trust EA to not shove in a shoehorned in multiplayer with microtransactions.
I'd be happy to see a spiritual successor from a smaller studio.
“Grimy Harry Potter” is the name of my new band!
How is Advent Rising not on here? That game was so good for its time, so much fun and had a massive cliff hanger. Advent Rising needs to be on every game that needs/never got a sequel
I remember pushing my luck in Bully to see just how punishing the mowing punishments would get, and subsequently regretting every decision I'd made in life leading up to that moment, because suddenly you're forced into mowing a full size school football field. And every time you get in trouble after that? Full size school football field.
Although, I have to admit there's a certain irony in that I love the Farming Simulator games now lmao
Sleeping Dogs was a sleeper hit, the next game needs to be called Ghost Dogs, the gaming world won't know what to do.
As long as Forrest Whittaker teaches us the Way of the Samurai in it.
or "watch dogs"................sorry i couldn't help myself.
Man, I just can’t believe The Last of Us didn’t get a sequel. What a shame. There was so much potential there.
Sleeping Dogs and Jade Empire demand a freaking sequel!
Sleeping Dogs, LA Noire, and Bully are my favorites and if a sequel ever surprisingly pops up I'd think I'm dreaming lol
Me and Andy really need to just sit down and talk about bully. I’ve owned it on every possible console I could: ps2, wii, Xbox 360, Xbox One and it is quite obviously one of my favorite games. It’s such a tragedy that we haven’t got a sequel
6/10 too much water, not enough Brutal Legend.
Brutal legend would have been awesome if it hadn't pulled the rug on people by being primarily a surprise RTS, I love RTS game but even I was a little taken aback but the world and characters were great.
@@Dream146 there's not that many RTS sections. It's mostly cool set pieces. Motorcycle spiders and giant worms.
@@Dream146 I agree that it came out of left field but honestly it wasnt that bad. Definitely better RTS out there but it was very unique. I personally enjoyed it. So would love a sequel to that game.
I don't know man. Grim Fandango felt like a one-and-done experience. It really doesn't need a sequel at all.
What about Aquaria?
Sure, it's not very well known, but the beautiful under water world, song-based magic system and great story should really get a sequel.
I never replay games, but I have completed the Bulletstorm campaign no fewer than 4 times. It was one of the most compellingly fun shooters of all time and richly deserved a part 2.
I was actually at work talking with coworkers about how we need a Bully sequel when a woman came in wearing a hoodie with the Rockstar logo. I asked and turns out she works there and immediately I was like "literally right before you came in we were talking about this... where is BULLY 2?" and she was like "Man, we want it too"
