@@destinyglenn1114 warriors hit hard , high dmg , so its normal they require more acc to hit , a good and bad thing , what is the fuck acc calculation ? you want all easy or what
Lol. Warrior was also my favorite, but I hated getting MISS on everything while my big brother's Hunter and my little brother's Assassin were able to hit with no problem.
In my opinion the sounds in this song are the monsters making noises throughout the dungeon. 3:26 until the end... monsters screams and cries echoing throughout the entire dungeon as they're being slayed and put to rest... such a masterpiece of music, awesome emotion.
I remember that shit pre BB. Was a lvl 30ish warrior wanting to become the master spearman. I never even knew drakes existed, until one time I went deeper in sleepy and I suddenly saw... DRAKES? Got insta killed ;'), miss those times man. But we can be happy, because those amazing moments we cherish now, will never be taken away of us. And on top of that, we still have the music right :D, right :(
Always was a contest to see how far you could get in before needing Dark Sight... and then if you reached the back end, did you have enough potions to sustain Dark Sight on the way out.
yeah...before big bang i was level 61, and pretty much stucked there...Repeated PQs at only like 5% exp was boring :l...post big bang was okay and made things more interesting and easier. But like Sean said they took the adventure aspect out of the game and things became toooo easy to be nice :c
Everytime I log in on MS I feel like logging out again after 2 minutes or something because I don't know anybody and there's nothing to explore anymore while Maplestory's concept was exploring.
BigBang definitely made the game easier and made it more fun in some aspects. However, it took away the the thrill of exploring and going on adventure in different parts of the world. That's what killed Maple for me. When I finally hit Lvl70 pre big-bang I did nothing but travel the world. Those were good times.
That ending where the voice says "ohmmmmmm" and then the hard last chord of the song... damn, makes me feel so good and euphoric. Last chord sounds like impending doom like you're desperarely trying to get back to the surface. Beautiful song.
I love the contrast of tone and emotions in this song! It begins with feelings of fear and despair, which soon turns to bravery and resolve until it reaches an ending filled with relief, but still tinged with a hint of regret... I have no idea if that made sense to anyone reading this, but that's what this song conveys to me.
I'll never forget my first time exploring the entire dungeon with my friends SourBlue, Super88 and Tiro. We met a pro warrior along the way named Pulverize who helped us get past the Tauros. Great memories from summer 2005.
this theme is actually so underrated, musically! such a well-composed piece; it captures the cold, the sense of danger, perfectly~ those ending chords ..despairing, yet beautiful ;~; the nostalgia is also real, of course ..
This theme definitely is one of the more underrated ones. Very long for classic maplestory as well. One of the greatest in the game, you have great taste :)
Indeed, very nice composition, especially the second half of the track. Even though Maplestory never failed to make great music (even until today), I have a feeling that the original bgm from Victoria Island is far superior.
I still remembered being freaking scared of this tunnel as a kid, but one day decided to YOLO travel all the way down, having occasional jitters of fear and goosebumps, till I reached the map before Barlog.
this was one of my favorite places to train and fight for the fun of it. (i played an Assassin back in the day) i remember i went spelunking here regularly just to go to the food truck merchant deeper in entirely because i didn't know where else to buy unagi and bottled water for my health and mana needs :P
Damn, i remember long ago when people used to train in the beginning of the sleepywood mines killing zombie mushrooms. I would always be so curious to adventure deep at lvl25 and always die curious to see where the high levels are going. Good times man... How time flies
I find crazy how they putted back these maps in the today's maple(i don't recall they removing it), yet almost nobody goes there, everybody just stay on the OP maps with great exp, people ask for something like the old maps and pre-bb, but they quicky quit....i think mostly like me forget that this map was re-added and have no idea if it's good.
I completely agree. People complain about BigBang, but all the maps are literally still there? They didnt change much geographically besides make some parts easier to access. Florina Beach is sometimes closed off and so is Omega Sector but no one goes down there anyway.
@@OnlyProjects Victoria Island was changed a lot, and I do miss the scale of it as a result. Feels like there aren't enough maps, not enough big maps and not enough mysterious ones, in my opinion.
@@deckie_ I agree. It feels like they keep adding new areas to grind but the exploration has been more limited lately. It would be hard for them to really keep up at this rate though. The patch would have to be so big and essentially game changing to add a lot more exploration areas. Because most players are so focused on getting to level cap, I don't think its in the dev's priority to re-introduce more places to explore. Aside from the starting areas of the new classes, there isnt much new.
@@OnlyProjects They tried that with 5job, but even then they had limits to not put everything at once or people would just quit, everyone would just rush everything.
The days where you can continuously heal with no silly 4 sec cooldown or whatever it is now. After several years (began MS in high school 2005), I started logging in for about 2 or 3 months in a year and stop playing again, lol. Side note: Still a fan of Yeti~
This area of the game always reminded me HEAVILY of the Cave of Skops from Rayman 1, so much so, that I would actually mute the in-game music and play a loop of the Cave of Skops music in the background while exploring this area, it really fits the atmosphere of this area PERFECTLY! 😊
I have so many fond memories of hacking away at zombie mushrooms in this game back in 08, 09. I remember this epic theme helping to motivate me through grueling grinding sessions!
Level 15 (if I remember correctly), a thief class with the *poof skill venturing deep into Sleepywood with loads of pots just to make sure I make it back to town xD
Dammmmm before orbis opened. Balrog & mushmom were the only spots 😭 Beta days I miss them but 3rd job update was also a bad ass feeling. 😏 SP00NED here from scania to khaini shit was fun
dear nexon , i am in my 30s and i would play in a new official classic old school maple server of yours everyday and spend $100 per week in nx and stuff , let me know if you create a new server along with others ty!
a lv 20 warrior, venturing down the spooky ant tunnel, getting MISS MISS on everything
Yeah. F*ck that accuracy calculation.
Warrior is my favorite.

I already can hear the sound of horny mushrooms and zombie mushrooms being killed xD
+wtfz0red Yes!! Omg.
i can , too
Nothing was cooler than making it deep into the ant tunnel under leveled. That my friends was how you proved you were the most bad ass mapler.

true
The adventure was real. Just like with Ludi PQ was new and exploring that crazy kewl area also XD.
OMG This brings back memories. Sometimes, I wish BigBang didn't happen.
Tryzstan Lim 2006-2010 were the best years of maple, It's a shame everything is easy now...

I remember someone helping me in these caves, saying 'be careful' as they departed.. I hope they are safe and well today
THIS.. is when i truly felt, i had experienced the wonder that is maplestory.
A scary, but mysterious path.

Old maplestory songs were insane in the storytelling they made you feel through them.
wow I never even thought about the music like this. I listened to the entire track and felt exactly what you described.
@@toriitoraa Agreed.
Your analysis resonates with me!

that ending silence into the last chord would always get me
it is the most spiritual feeling i ve ever got in a music
SAME!! I remember I used to leave this song on repeat while in that dungeon ONLY for the last chord. :)

One of the most interesting places in my opinion
my favorite part is 2:06....and ending
how a touching....
Lien D that ending is just beautifull

This music is imprinted into my brain...
The water drop sound at 0:09 is used in a lot of lil peeps songs
Ive never expected to read comment about lil peep in maplestory video. Maplestory became such a legacy
Omg that ending is so nostalgic
I was so late to notice this song's goodness.
Just by seeing the picture I gave a like. XD
Impossible to forget those rocky-yellowish-spikes from the dungeon of Sleepywood!

When this is the only place you can solo grind as a cleric... holy fuck those days were the fuckin worst.
This makes me feel like I'm undergoing an intense shamanic journey...
My favorite parts
0:58 - 1:21(especially 1:10 - 1:15)
2:06 - 2:26
This song is very depressing, so I love it.
What about 3:27 onwards? I think that is the best part
I played this so long ago back when people considered you a pro when you reached lvl 30 and had 2nd job achievement.
Ancient Move is a classic.
I remember killing the zombie mushrooms, there was even a map that was pretty good, where you could mob em to the bottom and it was kind a party xD
I still rmb there is a year in chinese new year, everybody was hunting something at here just for the event.

my dumb ass had to get escorted out of here lmao
Oh these were the days
man, i remember being stuck here for what felt like an eternity hahah

the beginning of maple story, my god , felt so nervous and scared while grind monsters here.
