Excellent idea and great solution for how to get around those miserable butt joints. When I replaced the ceiling in my living room and dining room a few years back, I used a technique that was used many years ago where you center the butt joint over the open bay in between two joists and bow the ends of the drywall sheets upward a slight amount to create the valley to receive the tape. There is more to this method to cover here as you fasten plywood and shims over the top (back) of the butt joint. It was more work but the tape joints are practically invisible.
Not what I do for a living ... but you have to give props where props are earned. Very clever solution to an obvious problem. Elegant and ingenious. Cheers Mate!!
I worked with sheetrock for 18 years and I have never had any problems with but joints. The biggest problems I ever had was with framing. The biggest trick is to make sheetrock look flat no house will ever be perfect flat. I worked in construction for over 34 years until I destroyed my lower back and after 5 surgery's I still live in extreme pain every day

Ideal but really time-consuming. I think this is valid for very high quality homes where perfect paint jobs are required, otherwise tapering it off with more coats of mud does the job grand.
Технология шпакли немного не правильная, раз начал делать как положено так надо было уже не косячить, с фаскои все гуд, но бумажную ленту надо прежде всего клеять на ПВА клей дать ей высохнуть и тока потом шпаклевать швы. Но ты сделал как обычно с серпянкой, это не большой косяк, в некоторых случаях бумажная перфолента начинает идти волнами при высыхания и начинается лишними геморрой. (возможно я что то путаю просто я уже года 3 шпатель в руках не держал, но по моему опыту так лучше) А так ты вообще красавчик все что делаешь 👍 смотрю с удовольствием!

Мне показалось, что на превьюшке используется диск циркулярки, а в работе - обычный отрезной по металлу? И к тому же, посталенный на болгарку вверх тормашками, не той стороной к шпинделю!
@@user-rf4zn8ke8c Когда случается такая неприятность, что диск "закусывает" в отрезаемом материале, вы не можете мгновенно выключить болгарку, да она и сама не сможет остаговиться моментально. В результате, происходит резкое самозатягивание прижимной гайки. И тут, при неправильной установке, начинаются танцы с бубнами вокруг болгарки, у которой ну никак не получается открутить гайку. А дело в том, что на лицевой стороне круга, со стороны надписей, вокруг отверстия обычно имеется металлический поясок. Он, хоть и немного, но ослабляет силу трения круга о поверхность гайки, и ее легче открутить, поясок выполняет роль своеобразной шайбы. То, что я изложил, является только моим личным мнением и не более. Ну и к тому же, почему-то ВСЕ ставят круги картинкой наверх. Наверное, неспроста...

We don’t bother with this crap in the Uk, we plaster our walls fully . Painting straight onto a plasterboard if the cheapest of cheap and doesn’t cut it.
In the time it would take you to do that kind of prep on 5-10 sheets, a professional could have 50 sheets hung, taped, and mudded and you wouldn’t be able to see their seams. Hopefully you’re paid by the job and not by the hour 🤣
Most unnecessary thing and ill advised technique I ever saw. Obviously made by someone who doesn't understand sheetrock, and unskilled in laying joint compound. And what happens a few years down the road when that glue applied decides to shrink or twist or lose it's bond then you have a whole wall, or ceiling, with rotten butt joints appearing out of nowhere every eight feet or so from distortion telegraphing thru from incompatible materials in the drywall. Don't try to reinvent the wheel here, you'll regret it in the near future. Btw a compression tool is sold for this purpose that doesn't introduce foreign materials to the gypsum mix. Just sayin' Mike.
