Oh Me Oh My... This turkey is hands down the BEST turkey we've ever eaten. Compliments all around: "... really really good", "best turkey I've ever had", "...So moist and Juicy". Soooo good.... Gravy was delish!!!
I have watched many cooking shows from celebrity, talentless cooks, male and female, and in my opinion, madam, you are by far one of the best cooks I have ever seen.
I’ve been using this video for the past 5 years. My dad got older abs was in charge of turkey for years and when I took over no one in my family thought I would be able to take over the tradition and my whole family praises me every year that it’s better than my dads ❤
i made this last year "hands down" the best turkey ever!!!!! cant wait to make it again this year! My sister who usually hates turkey couldn't get enough! thank you so much for sharing!
Laura, I just want to say thank you for showing me how to cook a turkey. I cooked my thanksgiving meal from all your recipes and all I can say is you really helped me a lot. I made the turkey, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, and the stuffing using all of your recipes. Thank you so much! ❤ This was my husband’s and I’s first time cooking our thanksgiving meal. Everything was delicious and he loved it. Thank you Laura ❤
Laura, I really appreciate when you discuss cooking science / techniques in your recipes, and it felt like a treat to get a full 20 minute video of just that. I feel like i learned a lot & you made it seem so simple!
The face that I’m Asian and I live in Paris now, means that I’ve never had a turkey and my household never celebrated thanks giving, but this video and all of your video makes me happy because it feels just like good time with family kinda vibe❤ love you and wishing your family from mine a wonderful holiday season, and hoping these platforms love your content as they should!
I tried this turkey method today for our family get-together and it was amazing. I am sort of a "if it's not broke, don't fix it" type of guy, but this video looked intriguing, so I tried it. The turkey was so flavorful and juicy. The juices at the bottom of the pan were so rich that I didn't have to add any bullion-just flour and the best gravy ever. I have a new favorite turkey recipe. Thanks.
I was trying to remember what turkey video I watched last year and I almost had a mental breakdown until i remembered it was this video. Thank you Laura! I don't want to change this recipe at all, this was perfect and not complicated at all. Saving this in the proper place now.
Tip from a Italian American friend, when you’re doing the butter mixture, put it on the plate… smash all the ingredients on the plate it works much better than doing it in a bowl. I cook my turkeys, almost identical to how you’re cooking you that one! And I totally agree on your cooking times. So many people over cooked their turkeys, and they’re terrible, totally dry. Happy Thanksgiving ❤
Hi Laura, I followed your instructions about the salted skin/24 hour in refrigerator process. No time to go to store, so I made a butter with Good Seasons Greek dressing packet, thyme & rosemary & garlic under skin/in cavity with apple & garlic & lime & garlic (what I had in kitchen!) ...Laura, this was THE BEST turkey I've made in my Life. My husband was happy and I was so impressed with myself 🤣🤣 I'm a terrible cook, this was a great achievement! THANK YOU so much. Happy Thanksgiving! 🩷
I dont think I need any other turkey recipe ever!!!! I've been getting pieces here and there to create the perfect turkey. And you just gathered them together and created this video!! Thank you sooo much!!! I love dry brining my turkey the Tuesday before its totally worth it!!! Thank you!!! ❤
@@LauraintheKitchenmy oven has a built in thermometer, I plug it in, stick in the turkey and I set the turkey at the internal temp I want and it will display it throughout the cooking process! It’s amazing
I went thru the same thing too. I was gathering pieces too then I remembered to check in on Laura and so glad I did. This will be so much easier and with all those ings I can smell and taste it now. WOW! Thank you Laura!😊
I have watched your gravy video every year for the past 4 years....i will not make it any other way. I also do the Turkey the way you did it in your other video years ago..... love it.... makes me look like a pro every year..... Thank YOU ❤
I followed your turkey, gravy, mashed potato and stuffing recipes and they all came out incredible!! Hope you and your family have a great Thanksgiving, Laura! Thank-you!
Laura does a really good Turkey..And so does Jamie Oliver ( who is very much inspired by Italian style cooking methods and culture) For ex He uses a spoon to push up& stretch the skin
Very nice 👍🏻 I know this video will help out people that are nervous because they're cooking this for the first time or not that experienced doing turkeys in general.
Laura, used your turkey recipe for the first time. I had a 12# turkey, I covered it with foil and removed the foil 1.5 hours later. The foil was actually brown around the edges and the turkey tested done - what?! (I don't know if it was the dry brine or the herb butter rub, but there were almost burnt herb patches on the skin.) I knew that turkey could not be done so I put in back in the oven and waited for the "pop" up to happen, which was about an hour later. I let the turkey sit on the counter for an hour before slicing it and it was delicious! Bravo! However, my stock was so salty I couldn't use it to make gravy, I used 2T of salt (1T per 5#). Any idea what I did wrong? Your videos are fabulous! Mashed potato, sweet potato and stuffing were all delicious 👍
The ads started when you were going to say the tips for the timing and temperature and I screamed! But thank you! I will use the butter recipe and the gravy method.
I am in the middle of a move and haven't been able to think this year! Well now I have a turkey recipe! Thank you so so much. 💕 can you do updated stuffing classic and ham? Thank you laura!! ☺️☺️
Great video. I’ve never dry brined my turkey because of refrig space but we’ve added an extra frig to our garage so… this is the year. Love this. Thanks so much.
The best turkey recipe! Thank you Laura, I have learned how to cook a turkey. I have been making your butter and herb for a couple of years now and it comes out just beautiful every single time!
I have been making your original recipe for three years now. I am so excited to try this one. I am from Canada and Thanksgiving past but I am going to make this on the American thanksgiving. Thanks again for another great video😘
Hi Laura, I've been making this recipe for the last 3 years and it is a SUCCESS!! This year I am hosting again and have a guest that is lactose intolerant in really bad way, with that said, what can I use to substitute the real butter ingredient???
What a fantastic video …..Laura you are a master in the kitchen….aromatics, compound butter, gravy…a whole turkey beautifully plated…Outstanding-thank you for all your hard work!!❤️❤️❤️👌👌👌⭐️⭐️⭐️
Iam sooooooo doing it your way laura this year. My way is great but your way looks very interesting and delish. Absolutley love you laura ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤. Happy thanksgiving 🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃
Looks delicious! Will try your dry brine this year as I have been wet brining for several years but super hard to manage when doing 2 turkeys! Can you tell me is your oven set to "bake" @ 350 or "roast" @ 350 or can anyone else answer my question? Thank you!
I have cooked turkey many times and it has always been a failure. I tried all kinds of turkey and finally settled on chicken and that's not free range but the simple cheap fresh farmed chicken.
I just found this video 2 weeks after you uploaded this. I enjoy the video, and love to learn how to make and work on the turkey recipe. 😁. Have a great Thanksgiving. In Michigan, it will be 33 degrees and cold during Thanksgiving day. I will stay inside and watch football as my plan for Thanksgiving.
For Thanksgiving our oldest sister usually makes the turkey but this year the baby sister had the job. She's never made a turkey before but we knew your recipe would not disappoint and directed her to this video. Honestly the best turkey we've ever had it was picture perfect and juicy down to the bone. Hope you and your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving🧡

Thank you so much for your recipe and video.... could you please kindly advise where in your oven do you keep the rack? All the way in bottom level? 2 levels from the bottom or in the middle? Thank you always❤

For the juiciest turkey, when slicing ur pieces, dip em into the juices before putting them on ur plate.
