I think his life is luxurious and most of us car guys admire what he's created and built for himself. Plus he has a great wife and kids 🤷♂️ overall winning at life and seems like a genuinely nice guy who deserves it
Derek has the most entertaining show no matter if it's vice grip garage or road worthy rescues. I watch his shows again and again and they never get old!! He is a talented man and he used that talent to his advantage!!
Been watching VGG for a few years now. Once you have partaken.. partook, err, particorated, its impossible not to return, again and again. Some of Dericks revival rides home have been real challenges; there's ALWAYS a will, always a way... that Model A with the weepy water pump was a perfect example of what ut takes. The wooden Lumberghini, not so much. Love Derek- he is the real deal.
I so much appreciate his dedication to his family and " Little Grip Garage". I always wanted to do a project with my son, and fix up a roadworthy rescue of our own. Derek is a true inspiration of what the real American dream is, and what wealth really is. May he continue with his good fortune. I Love his shows and sense of humor.
This Legend has made me appreciate American cars all over again. Their durability, practical design and fun. I watch and thoroughly enjoy these videos from the UK.
Derek is 100% all about the little people that he is responsible for,as he used to call them, lol, his kids,he loves his family and he is an amazing man, father, husband, and entertainer.
What a great video. And yeah, for sure bro, you’re a great fit for Tennessee!! I had watched a bunch of your shows and it wasn’t until you had that custom painter on the show to letter up your tow truck that I realized something… OMG, this guys doesn’t have a southern accent! I did however notice you lived in TN when you were driving down the road. I was like wait just a minute here! I know that countryside well, that’s got to be TENNESSEE! WooHoo! So you need to git bizzy and pick you up some southern drawl shug!!! Loves and hugs 🥰
This man many can not see who he really is. He works hard. I once said that being away from his family would take its toll. I’m glad he is back in the saddle. He is a great inspiration to many. The first time I watched him was in this field trying to get this Cadillac started n out of the field. Many would have walked away. But he stuck it out. The worse time was the car that had the motor in the front seat. Deadly decision to even attempt this drive fumes n the noise would definitely cause health issues down the road.not away to impress anyone. I enjoy watching when I can. I wish him happiness with his family. .
Derek is the type of character you know is good just by having a few words with him. You can not hate on someone like Derek, or you just look like the fool. Watch VGG weekly and love it
Wish I had found Derek a little sooner, I wouldn’t have sold my 1968 Cougar that I thought would never be complete. Turns out, they don’t have to be fancy or “complete” to be cool and fun.
Thanks for years of entertainment plus education. I have enjoyed watching your family grow up. 1 out of 3 isn’t bad odds. I remember teasing you about your cute daughter. I have since learned more about Jessica in your life. Thanks for being persistent in your pursuit of Jessica.
I have always loved watching his shows!! I’m up in my 70s and have always loved working on cars my self but never got into the hobby of going out and finding an old car or truck stuck in the brush or in a field. I’ve just worked on my own to keep them going. But vise grip garage is a great way to make your life way more interesting and fulfilling. Thank you Derik for you love of cars and this show. 😀
Old cars can be fixed. That’s what’s great about them. Not taking anything away from Derek, btw. When this modern stuff ages it’ll be completely disposable. I have a bunch of old cars and love his show.
Idk, he exhibits terrible examples and works habits . Poor example for others to follow and dangerous. Ex: sprays paints without a mask! Frankly, I’m surprised, at doing things like remote gas tanks in cabin of car. I know he says he’s an idiot and don’t do what he does! But he will pay the health price with his lungs. Unfort others will suffer as well. His family and others who are as careless

He still making excellent content every week hundreds of thousands of views.

Bro Derek is the reason I bought a 1969 chevelle he reminds me how awesome the felling is when you fix your car on your own
Whatever happens, it’s a private matter and it’s nobody’s business but Derek’s.
So, he was poor, then he inherited the family farm, sold it, now he's rich. Great story.
Vvg is still on every Friday
He found a wealth that money will never buy GOOD FOR HIM true American dream story
Derek has said that he left "Corporate America", but has never explained, exactly what that meant.
Old cars can be fixed. That’s what’s great about them. Not taking anything away from Derek, btw. When this modern stuff ages it’ll be completely disposable. I have a bunch of old cars and love his show.
Definitely the type dude you want working on your vehicle.
For a second I thought he was hurt
Derek isn't going anywhere..... I just watched the most recent episode.
I miss this show
I'll be dipped you are very very great
Down to earth charm 🤣
I'm sure he is doing great and winning but I have lost interest in the slap it together and the "it's fine" stuff.
