Lockjaw and Beta Ray Bill's relationship is actually not a retcon, in the Pet Avengers series they teamed up and fought Thanos with other animal friends. I swear on my life I'm telling the truth lol

I felt really bad for those actors in the inhumans show. They thought getting in on a marvel property would open a lot of doors for them, but they were just part of the cynical attempt to replace the mutants.
That being said, War of Kings is a really great event.
sandy34740 I thought the way they showed Karnak’s “not a power” was great, but yeah without the X-men a lot of marvel tv shows have their work cut out for them, simply by dint of how the X-men are everywhere in the comics. Makes me wonder when wolverine has any time to sleep
Yeah, I know they expected the show to be the stepping stone to a possible movie down the line and within the first three episodes The Inhumans got disrespected more than a CW series with Maximus being just THE WORST
Black Bolt's actor will reprise his rol in Multiverse of Madness, as part of the Illuminati, so at least he'll have some kind of redemption haha

I love the story about Cates' pitch for this book where he said he was in the room with various writers and editors and said he wanted this to be like and quote "John Wick in space". The room was silent for 10 seconds or so before one of them shouted out "NO! YOU CAN'T KILL LOCKJAW!"
The first Inhumans Back Issues is the Death of the Inhumans. To quote Palpatine... "Ironic"
The one thing i've gathered from the Inhumans is that black bolt is kinda cool and lockjaw is fun. That's pretty much it.

Brother I feel the exact same way, and imperfectly fine with that being my understanding of the inhumans. Watch the comics explained X-men extinction event has some more black bolt stuff pretty cool.
Bro, you need to watch the Marvel Fantastic Four show from the early nineties they do the Crystal & Johnny Storm arc from the comics and it's LEGIT funny

Ill be honest I was sad Ronan the Accuser died how he did, post Annihilation his character actually had developed and was becoming more of an antihero, his death actually affected me more then anyone else in this arc.

Hickman said that the Kree did the experiments to all kinds of alien races, then killed them all off when they abandoned the project. But there’s only 5 races left with inhumans, humans being one of them. (Remember when Black Bolt got 4 more wives and Medusa was pissed??)

Despite you guys unwilling to do another Inhumans book for a while, would you seriously consider Black Bolt by Saladin Ahmed? That was one of my favorite comics back in 2017

I’m not crazy about Inhumans, but do enjoy a good number of their stories. Paul Jenkins & Jae Lee’s work was great. Can’t wait to read my copy of this!

As an Inhumans fan (don't ask me why, I actually don't know. It's mostly that I'm a fan of Medusa, Ms. Marvel, Quake and Moon Girl, and they're like the faces of the Inhumans right now), I actually found this book really mean-spirited and also not very coherent. There were tons of plotholes and loose ends that weren't actually resolved, the stakes were never high enough (how can you have an event where Inhumans are targeted and NOT have Kamala Khan viciously fighting for her life?), the pacing was extremely fast and instead of having all of New Arctilan's lunar colony involved and giving everyone glorious battle deaths... They gave them whimpering deaths with most deaths not even being on screen. I actually do like more individual mutants than I do Inhumans, but I consider myself more of an Inhumans fan than an X-Fan. And while I'm happy for them that they got the X-Men back and the MCU's getting them back, too, the Inhumans have fans now, despite Marvel's horrible attempts to market them and later bury them. We could've had both, we just never had writers who cared enough to try.
Big part of the problem is this:
All Mutants: Race Issues or Homosexuality Issues metaphor, depending on THE STORY.
Willing Inhumans: Transgender Issues metaphor.
Unwilling Inhumans: Asexuality Issues metaphor.
Not only are those latter two more niche, it means a story has two choices if they've jammed Willing and Unwilling Inhumans together: 1. Engage with the social issues metaphors and struggle to balance two different metaphors that they might not even have any idea HOW TO engage with. 2. Reject the social issues metaphors entirely. Most current Inhumans writers, as far as I'm aware, took the latter option.

What happened to the royal family's/House of Agon's kid's? Bolt and Medusa's son, Ahura? Crystal daughter Luna? Gorgon's kids Alecto and Petras? Karnak's son, Leer?
Ahura is running the Ennilux organization on earth, Luna is probably at the Braddock Academy, Leer is probably in New Attilan, and Gorgons kids I'm not sure

Xmen vs inhumans? For some reason books with heavy editorial influence makes for the best back issue episodes.

I'm not really an inhumans fan. However it is awesome to see Black Bolt say; "Die." And Everything explodes. He should have been writen as a horseman of Apokolips.

Believe it or not, I personally know an Inhumans fan; although I think his preferred stuff is from before Marvel trying to make them into X-men surrogates.
Also hilariously enough, Agents of Shield did the Inhumans far better than anything else was at the time.
You know I rewatched this in an Autoplay recently and it hit about the same as always, death of stories just don't interest me much but sal mentioned Inhuman by Charles Soule being the opposite so I tried it.
I am like 14 issues deep and I love it, the panel work is amazing, I am starting to love the characters, especially Medusa, and the whole experience feels freash. Top tier recommendion from the Inhuman hater and chief.

I 100% understand why you wouldn't do many Inhuman book, but if I could recommend a comic that is about an Inhuman, I would love to see you all review 'Black Bolt' (2017-2018) Written by: Saladin Ahmed & Drawned/Penciled by: Christian Ward. It's magnificent!

I thought Lineage had potential as a neat take on the "evil vizier" since he's literally a New York mobster. Plus he has tons of knowledge since his power gave him access to all the genetic memories of his ancestors which included some big time Inhuman scientists, politicians, and generals. But then Charles Soule had him stage a revolt not 10 issues after his appearance so he got booted out of the city where he died in IvX. What a waste.

All my teachers have said that reading is important. Comic pop has shown me that comic writers did not take note this or the best ones make thier own universe of discourse.
