Did one on mine on Mk4 Golf with Mk7 Key! Even though my car never has electric boot release! Took a while to get the old key blade off the old key so I don’t have to go to the key place to get the key cut! Lovely little modification I ever had!😊

Does it have to be the upgrade version? Does an original mk7 key not have the right screw positions? I was thinking of getting the GTI key version

And why would you change the best key ever made golf 4 , 5 and 6 keys , which are almost indestructible for a golf 7 key which they don't last long

@@rorywillis6590 agreed the new one looks nicer. But the old one is smaller and has more rounders corners so it's more pocket friendly.
what exactly is the key model? the previous link does not work. I bought a golf mk7 key case, but the passat b5.5 key electronics do not fit

i did this tutorial and after a short while my buttons stopped unlocking/locking the doors. My key still turns the locks, but button doesnt. The light blinks when buttons are pressed. any help?
Maybe the board moved around?
@@ucefkh double checked board, locked down with the screws. could it be battery?

How did you get the tiny pin out of the actual key?? You kind of conveniently skipped that bit. It's tiny, and mine won't move at all...
I used a small punch and hammer, held it in a vice. 👍
Any tips on how to get the central locking modules working 😅 key had been battery but will not unlock the car on button.

Why Oh Why? Have just spent 8 minutes of my life watching this video. Think my MK5 key is perfectly acceptable as it is. Can you convert the car too.

Problem here. After everything is done, and after two days everything working OK, I have immobilizer active now and can't start the car with this key
