ANYONE THAT'S RESORTED A VEHICLE AND MAKES THE UNDER SIDE LOOK THAT GOOD. KNOWS IT TAKES A LOT OF TIME AND WORK. GREAT JOB!!! I HAVE OCD BIG TIME , THAT'S BEAUTIFUL MAN.
This is an incredible truck I have the same year that I dream of making it as beautiful as this one. I'm glad you did all of this work and put it out for the world to see. There is not enough of these vehicles left on the road anymore.
Nice job and I also have a 1990 that's White with Blue interior in excellent condition. Picked it up last year with a 6" lift kit with 35's...just the best trucks!!!
*SPEAKING ABOUT LMC, THE ISSUES w/SOME OF THERE PRODUCTS IS THAT THEY ARE AFTERMARKET & NOT THE SAME MATERIALS, QUALITY& SO ON.* I am speaking from direct experience w/them & their products, meaning I have even had pics of my custom street rod p/u in their catalog. An example is their sheet metal products are made of a cheaper metal first off & the thickness of the metal is slightly thinner, this is how their products are much cheaper than any other companies product. I'm not trying to completely bash LMC, they have some of the best customer service & their catalogs are expertly put together. There are times you can't locate factory parts & you have to purchase LMC's less then factory perfect products & I am not saying all of their products are this way, but I just wish this info was told to there customers before making these purchases. My truck was a 74 Chevy step side w/suicide doors & the rear window I replaced w/a electric rear window from a full-size blazer & the dash was from a 52 Chevy truck... let's not forget the 350 Edelbrock intake/carb & comp cam. You have an amazingly beautiful blazer sir, real car ppl can tell when a vehicle was built by someone w/knowledge & love for vehicles.....this is what I see w/you & your bad ass Blazer!!!!!
Nice work, thank you. Enjoy. I had a 1976 K5 Blazer in college. Wish I still had it. Had kids and needed a different vehicle. Hope I can have another one later in life. Let me know if you ever want to sell this beautiful truck. It’s been many years since school and I can afford one now. Nice video, thanks again.
Great video and awesome work on your K5! I recently purchased a 1984 K5 with intent of making it a river truck but then decided it is in to good of condition and needs to become a summer rig for me and my kids to enjoy. I have been looking at LMC Truck and videos like yours and decided I could have a really nice rig with a lot of money and some hard work. I love the sun roof addition and moving the stereo. I think I might do the same.
GunDoc thank you for your positive comments. Good luck with your blazer try and have fun when you’re doing it and don’t forget to post a video when it’s complete would love to see it.thanks
Beautiful job, love it! Had a 91 Blazer for many many years. Only thing i can say is get a trans temp gauge and an aux cooler. Other than that your truck is 100%. Thanks for sharing, hope to see more vids of it soon.
The quad front shock set up seems to be pretty rare. I looked at about 15 k5s before buying mine and the only one I saw was on a 88 k5 that was beat to hell and only had a tbi305. Damn nice truck you've got
I have a lifted 97 suburban with mud tires and it doesnt see any mud or dirt. Some dude asked me if I go take it offroad, I told him no he asked "why have it lifted with huge tires then?" I saw he was pretty outta shape with running shoes on so I asked him "why wear athletic gear if you dont work out?" And hopped in the whip and left. Lol
Nice rig.,,.But up here in Colorado the de-icer and road salt will rust anything made of metal to dust.lol. Trust me I fight the rust bugs everyday. I currently own a 1987 K5 custom as well.
I am absolutely speechless. Great job my friend this rig is flawless. K5 blazer is my dream vehicle and I just finally picked one up 2 weeks ago so I just got started on my build! I’ll deffibetly be checking out that site and I’m from Maine so I’m gonna be cracking down on my frame soon. Looking into installing a 6 inch lift but I wanna go higher just worried about the hassle from cops. What’s he measurement to your door handles with the 12 inch lift?
Nice truck, I also thought about using the 90s GMC grille on a Chevy but haven't done it yet. Do you still have part numbers of the GTS light covers? Or the shop where you bought them?
Very nice looking blazer but was wondering if you knew there was a difference between the true k5 blazers and a full size blazer. The true k5's have a more narrow frame width and the full size models have sliding glass in the shell. Just a FYI.
I got a couple of questions for you. #1 what is the hight of your truck minus the light bar. I love the look but am concerned I won't be able to park it in my garage at work (I just bought a 1990 and it is stock) #2 did you consider changing out the rear to a newer year axel that already had disc brakes and overall how is the pad wear on the ones you installed.
Hey Thomas thanks for your inquiry. To answer your questions the truck is around 8 1/2 feet tall without the light bar and I didn’t consider a newer axel because the conversion kit was only a couple hundred dollars and I’m not sure a newer axel would fit my truck.thanks hope this helps and good luck with your truck
Did you take it apart to strip and undercoat the chassis or did you do it altogether. Also did you spray or paintbrush the undercoater and paint the chassis
Mohammed Al-Hawaj thanks for the comment I appreciate it.i wanted to customize this a bit. I also have a 1985 k10 pickup bone stock in mint condition but I won't touch it I like it stock
Well son of a mother biscuit eating bull dog. That is one sexy piece of pavement pusher. Defiantly wouldn't go off road without upgrading those axles/ gearing. Other than that I mean dang. Hopefully gonna be gettin an 85' K5. Got an 84' K10 right now. Yeah... Looks good.
Ashton Williams it has 4:11 gears but axels are stock. Did plenty of off-roading when I was younger so this one is strictly for the road.thanks for the comment.
Very nice How much did you originally pay for it, I did the same with my 89 K5 I hot sprayed clean underneath. After it dried up Eastwood metal prep and Waxoyl coating s. It only had a dim size rust spot other than that everything was solid. It’s not finished yet was thinking of selling it. Had it 12 years. Nice video
i have a 1990 k5 blazer 3" body lift 35x12 tires on it custom paint job im in the process of up grading my engine i will send you a link of it..oh by with your body lift do you have any play in your steering on your truck..
Thanks for the comment I appreciate it. Installation wasn’t bad at all and I hate wiring anything. Light bar was about 40 bucks and lights I believe were around 20 bucks apiece. If you’re thinking about installing a light bar do yourself a favor though and use LEDs these lights are nice looking but are not bright at all.
Don’t know if you’ll reply but I have the same truck and I want a new center console bought one from lmc and it’s not like the original. Would just like to know how you found one
Hey buddy I got a question about body parts. I went through LMC's entire catalog and it seems they have every window and trim part, but for the life of me I can't find that rear vent window or what it is even called. If I google vent window, I get the front ones. The window frame has the hardware on the top and bottom but I bought it with no glass or glass hardware and yes I want to restore it to it's original awesomenesss any ideas??? Thanks 1990 Blazer Silverado 5.7
crapseven I do not know. It’s going to be hard to get just that little window without buying the whole thing your best bet would be craigslist or eBay you’re more than likely going to have to buy the whole window set there usually around 150 to 200 bucks.good luck
Not one engine shot. Did you even mention the engine? (I didn't listen to the whole video, but scanned through the pics) The body and interior looks nice, but a true gearhead will spend at least a few minutes under the hood. I'm assuming it's a just a common 350 or less, and not a diesel?
OK, I heard it. Now how bout showing it off? As clean as the truck is, would be nice to see the undercarrige also, with the lower eng. and tranny/Tcase too.
Hey I have an 81 blazer and am looking to do some similar work to it like you have done, do you have an estimate for the cost you put into the undercarriage of the truck?
Benze I have an '81 Blazer too. I had the original 305 swapped with a re-manufactured 350, transmission rebuilt, new exhaust, everything else is mostly cosmetic, rust repair and all. But now I have had the steering box replaced twice, the second time by Goodyear. They told me everything is now aligned and tightened, but it's still way too loose. Does yours steer okay? I am considering replacing the steering column because it's very difficult to keep it in my lane.
I can appreciate a person who takes their time & gets the job done right. Nice rig.
Wilks Million Thanks. I appreciate that. And yes I agree with you if you're gonna take the time at least take the time and do it right.Take care
What a beautiful C5 Blazer .....❤......awesome work . Yes i love this square body trucks . CONGRATULATIONS

Nice job and I also have a 1990 that's White with Blue interior in excellent condition. Picked it up last year with a 6" lift kit with 35's...just the best trucks!!!
Too nice to off-road, a lot of work, beautiful truck.

I know it’s sad but true. LOL
With all the work that he put into it I don't blame him.
Lol
Moral of the story, what I eat won't make you shit. Stop worrying bout other people!

Your welcome. Thanks for the comment. I'd like to see yours when you're finished As well
Nice mall crawler. How does it handle going over a wheel stop in the parking lot?
You sure did a nice job. I appreciate all that work put in on her. What a classic!
1/2 ton 10 bolt axles with big tires. Cool for the mall I guess.

Is this a special order truck, cause yeah it's got options on it...
Nice looking Blazer man .! Where is it now?
1 ton axles? If not 1 ton axles how does the half ton axles do with the 39 inch tires?
Nice truck, I also thought about using the 90s GMC grille on a Chevy but haven't done it yet. Do you still have part numbers of the GTS light covers? Or the shop where you bought them?
Gotta get them driveline angles straightened out man. Nice rig
Very nice looking blazer but was wondering if you knew there was a difference between the true k5 blazers and a full size blazer. The true k5's have a more narrow frame width and the full size models have sliding glass in the shell. Just a FYI.
Wrong!
Beautiful truck man
what a blazer and what a username!! LOL
I got a couple of questions for you. #1 what is the hight of your truck minus the light bar. Pad wear is average
Did you take it apart to strip and undercoat the chassis or did you do it altogether. Also did you spray or paintbrush the undercoater and paint the chassis
Nice job bro looks great 👍

Mohammed Al-Hawaj thanks for the comment I appreciate it.i wanted to customize this a bit. I also have a 1985 k10 pickup bone stock in mint condition but I won't touch it I like it stock

Do you have a parts list for this build? Mine is in need of some major love, just wondering if you can give me some sort of idea what I'm in for.
Sweet build bud
ifyaaintjeepinyoursleepin O'Bryan thanks
Did this truck come with the axles under the leafs? Or was that part of the lift?
Great work and efforts
Very nice How much did you originally pay for it, I did the same with my 89 K5 I hot sprayed clean underneath. After it dried up Eastwood metal prep and Waxoyl coating s. It only had a dim size rust spot other than that everything was solid. It’s not finished yet was thinking of selling it. Had it 12 years. Nice video
I originally paid $4200 for the truck. Thanks for the comment much appreciate

You inspired me for real👌💯
Great job! Where can I get the body mount kit from? I have an '89

Hay man nice K5, I have a question about you over head light rack, what did you experience installing and pricing? thanx man
Thanks for the comment I appreciate it.
Jesse Pitt Found mine on eBay. Keep looking you will eventually find one. Good luck with your truck
Jesse Pitt I just checked eBay right now there are tons of them take your pick
Very nice example.
Thank you I appreciate that
Hey buddy I got a question about body parts. Thanks 1990 Blazer Silverado 5.7
Are you talking about the slider windows that go on the cap?
@@7370195 Yea that little vent that goes on the cap window. Someone just told me it is called a "wing" Do you know where I can find a set?
crapseven I do not know. It’s going to be hard to get just that little window without buying the whole thing your best bet would be craigslist or eBay you’re more than likely going to have to buy the whole window set there usually around 150 to 200 bucks.good luck

joe quinlan 6:50 he said he had 31k on the engine. 350
6:40**
OK, I heard it. Now how bout showing it off? As clean as the truck is, would be nice to see the undercarrige also, with the lower eng. and tranny/Tcase too.
Hey I have an 81 blazer and am looking to do some similar work to it like you have done, do you have an estimate for the cost you put into the undercarriage of the truck?
The cost to redo the undercarriage was just under $200. It was the amount of time it took to prep it that was the killer. Good luck to you though
Where did you get the steering stabilizers and how hard were they to install?
Hayden vance superlift.com and it was easy to install
Downwithcivilrights awesome thanks
Nicky done man.
Nice work
Phillip Filides Thanks buddy I appreciate it
Where did you get that radio can you send me the link and can you send me the link the those Dakota gauges
To nice to take out an play
