I really appreciated the show for showing a much larger scale of war. A big issue I had with the CGI clone wars was how small the military actions were.The largest conflicts we saw in that were battalion or company sized actions which doesn’t really make sense in terms of a galaxy sized conflict.
Ya that’s k'kruhk. This is after the last pacifist faction of Jedi. The group he was part of tried to stay neutral, during the early clone wars.
Grievous takes k'kruhk down, then pockets his lightsaber. k'kruhk essentially, enters into a Whipid healing coma. He’ll limp his way back to Coruscant, deals with a subplot involving Quinlan Vos, and then gets stranded with a group of younglings during order 66.

Well, original Grevious was bloody terrifying! Killed 50 jedi over the legends version of the war.
My favorite depiction of grievous, and the only one that made him a compelling villain for me. Still, i love the idea of "this is a story being told to some farmer boy on a distant planet, and how he envisions the events he's told about" perspective. Because then it doesnt much matter what the 'true' canon is

Cw did lore, continuity, dialogue,Jedi,the force,grievous and Dooku much MUCH better. Dooku being caught by pirates is so idiotic it hurts.

I think TCW did a much better job of showing charters and personal stories but lost out on representing the scale of the conflict and intimidating villains. Reducing characters like grievous and dooku to mustache twirling cartoon villains.
And TCW Grevious couldn't even kill Ashoka and he got captured by *Gungans!*

I think the lancers are entirely plausable in the star wars universe for an entirely out of universe explanation of the warfare, from the battle of geonosis to the battle or corasuant the battle style is based off napoleonic 19th century warfare from the tight battlelines of the infantry to the broadsides the fleets inflict on eachother its clearly inspired by napoloeonic combat. Just look up a painting of the battle of trafalger if you arent convinced
Instead of wharf spider I thought he meant "Worf spider" and imagined a little spider in a Starfleet uniform armed with a bat'leth
i remember being really dissapointed when they went with CGI, pretty much didn't really watch any of Clone wars for years.
CW and TCW both have strengths that would be worth seeing combined.

I like the original more, but there were certainly some good moments in TCW, they made Maul interesting and the nightsisters enjoyed a good deal of spotlight, I also enjoyed how they depicted Anakin and Obi-Wan more in the CG version. But Dooku, Grievous, and the lore overall felt like it got its fair shake in the original. They also wisely avoided the clones having especially close relationships with Jedi, allowing Order 66 to make more sense. Ruthless clones like Alpha showed why they'd perform Order 66 without hesitation without any need for an inhibitor chip retcon. Clones were people, but heavily, heavily conditioned and brainwashed people. Ironically I find that more sympathetic than some implant that forces them to do what Palpatine says, it forces more of the responsibility onto the clones while still making sense.
I love the 2003 Clone Wars so much better then the 2008-2020 Clone Wars

Original Clone Wars feels more like a cartoon in the Holo Net than something real that actually happened in the Star Wars universe.

15:00 I agree and disagree with the squadrons remark. I completely get why they made the game the way they did. I kinda wish they would toss in a "canon" version of the fights, even if it makes them almost impossible to play. Just give me a taste of the actual speed of the fighters and how much you CANNOT take a turbolaser on the nose and shake it off.
On a side note, I hope that (if the game doesn't continue to get updates and added content) that modders will take up the torch and add all sorts of canon and legend's ships and battles.

Big noasted well I guess I can see some utility in that. But on a grand scale i’d rather just like to have that sort of perspective on all different manner of stories they tell about star wars or none at all.
