I fish to eat. Feeds my family. I out mine in aluminum foil after covering in salt, pepper, olive oil and lemon juice. Keep fishing and eating and most of all preaching!
fillet them, coat in breadcrumbs and put in pan with generous amount of olive oil it tastes SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Good favorite fish to eat currently is largemouth bass
Dude i started watching when you has like 70k subscribers and i remember when you hit 100k i didnt watch fir while because of school and work and holy crap man you have 200k now thats insane and you deserve every subscriber you have
Praise the lord❤ and the reason i personally dont eat them is becuase i usually fish at my backyard pond and i want it to grow so they can be eaten or caught years later so far biggest fish is a almost 2 foot catfish ive seen so far. But the bass are Big and hungry.
As soon as I read the thumbs nail I was about to recommend you watching Tyler Reel fishing on a video with a biologist discussing this topic! Right on and you have a video call with Tyler absolutely golden some people recommend spotted bass and smallmouth but exactly what Tyler says the smaller ones and they taste much better! Great video always appreciate your video content and your bass fishing content! Let’s go!!!!! Tight lines take care and God bless!
I feel that it also depends on the area you’re fishing, in a highly pressured pond like the ones here in Toronto many people keep bass so releasing would be the best choice. It really depends on the lake you’re fishing
I like to eat fish! Especially spotted, stripped, small, and large mouth bass. Also bluegill and trout. Also using chompers drop shot worms work really good especially salt poum and morning dawn. But nice drop shot set up! 👍
I think bass is delicious every time me and my friends go to his pond will take a few with us and we’ll put garlic butter, salt, pepper, and it taste delicious😋
Cool video I am going fishing with my friend at our local spillway today thanks for making this amazing video! What line would your recommend for a bait caster I just got? I use some swim baits on it for pike and big bass I have 12 pound Fluorocarbon on it it’s a lew’s crush combo
I personally am not a fan of the taste of largemouth bass. I’ve tried white bass and not a fan of that either. Yet, crappie and catfish are great. I moved from Fort Worth Texas to Corpus Christi Texas so now I do a lot of saltwater fishing and I generally eat what I catch so long as it is in regulation. Speckled trout, flounder, black drum, and mangrove snapper all taste delicious. Plus, blue crab are wonderful. When I cook fish it’s usually either fried with fish fry breading or with butter and blackened seasoning in a nice cast iron.
Hey I live up in Wisconsin and most people only eat bass when it is colder out (late fall/Winter) because the bass are not as mushy after you cook them👍
I’ve tried largemouth and small mouth to see which was better you gotta try small mouth I think they taste better but would be cool to hear your thoughts!
Awesome video as always. Someday we gotta collab and I send you a box of mystery custom baits. See if you can slam it out of the park. God bless and keep up the great work. Praying for a great year in college for you this year.
The only fish I enjoy eating our bluegill and trout it does not matter on what type of bluegill or trout and crappy is really good, but I have never tried bass
Ryan where did you get your Jon boats me and my dad are looking for one for cheap not to expensive because we are masters of bank fishing hope you reach out
The US is the only place with the catch and release belief. Americans don't eat that much fish but fish is a commodity everywhere else. Sport fishing is only an American thing and the rest of the world goes fishing to get food and nothing else.
While i do agree that us americans need to have a better catch to eat belief as thats how ive always fished but were not the only one with this belief when it comes to largemouth bass believe it or not. For example japans has a big sport for bass fishing and eating bass is generally frowned upon there. But it really only comes down to bass there. In germany they have a big catch and release on pike. Here in the us though we tend to put that rule on too many fish. I fish to eat and so does my family so ive always believed in keeping fish even bass. The only real fish i release on the regular is tiger muskie (mainly cause ive never caught a keeper size)
Culling is a necessity and if you want to eat them do so. I catch and release generally myself but if a spot is over populated with smaller bass I'll help cull. I never keep 5lbs and above I generally won't keep another over 2lbs to 3lbs. I like the range of 3/4 pound to maybe 2lbs. That's the best for culling imo. If everyone culled from a lake properly it wouldn't hurt the lake and honestly most the time doesn't even knock a dent in the population lol.
Oh and if it's a spotted bass in a largemouth fishery eat them things lol. They destroy a good largemouth lake over time imo. I watched it happen to my local lake.
Ok now you're canceled because of the way you cooked the fish 😂. Fillet the fish bro lol. It's better without the skin and battered. Especially bass imo. I'm not eating anything that's looking at me 😂.
Hey ryan. Do you recommend getting a baitcaster as a beginner fisherman(about 1 yr). I already have 3 spinning rods...if so, why would it be worth the money?
Some families Grocery fish, not trophy fish 🎣 so they eat what they catch and they’ve been doing it Forever, doesn’t affect the largemouth bass species or population at all.
I’ve got to give props to your parents. I can tell you were raised right and are a great guy. Keep it up, your videos really cheer me up
