These simulations along with my piano music (Spotify/UA-cam: @pardonmypiano ) are part of my lifelong project called "In Terra Pax" that aims to bring financial and emotional support to victims affected by earthquakes around the world.
My goal is to show people around the world the effects of different earthquake shaking levels on various buildings and structures.

I live in New York state and I felt the earthquake, but it didn't really do much damage where I am. Hope everyone that lives near or around the epicenter was okay even though I heard that the earthquake did some minor damage.
That’s was nice to see that you simulate how that happened yesterday. I felt that yesterday when that happened.
I felt it, thought it was a big truck or something
I live in New York City. I was about to go back to sleep when suddenly I had a dizzying sensation. I assumed it was just me being dizzy until I heard my bed moving against the wall. That's when I felt the building sway. It felt like the longest few seconds of my life, but thankfully nothing fell or broke. I am grateful it wasn't any worse and thank God for keeping me safe.
Hello, i am new here, once i first watched a video, i already loved it so much.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
And actually i live in the Philippines and i wanna see the Magnitude 7.0 eartgquake in Abra 2022, but you should do everything that is important to you or everything that you love to do first, because i dont want you to felt tiredness.

From Shawn Willsey's channel, thanks for your videos! It's great to see realistic examples of the different levels instead of just numbers.
Yes! I'm so happy that my simulations are valuable! I always hated not being able to see how exactly the ground shakes during an earthquake.
I live in Nj, but people told me about when i came home because we were driving home in virginia
When it happened I was petrified. This was my first time experiencing an earthquake and boy was I scared! But now I am calm down and have fallen down the rabbit hole of UA-cam and how earthquakes work and it’s really cool to know how amazing our earth is.
I live in reading Pennsylvania, near the quarry in spring township, and some are saying the fault line caused by the blasting of the quarry may have grown, and there may be many small earthquakes soon as the ground in the area is extremely unstable.
I was in school when this happened and all the alarms went off late, which caused even more commotion. It feels like a vibration. Just had an aftershock, too.
Thank you for sharing!!
I live in southeast Pennsylvania, and some people I know who live close by felt it, but I didn't. I do remember the one in August of 2011, though. The worst thing about that was that one of my friends was at the dentist when it happened! 😬
Great video! Love the simulation and the scenario you depicted about each city. I was wondering how New York City looked like during the shaking. A friend is staying there a couple of months, she said she and her family got scared around 10:23 am if I'm not mistaken. Quick question, would you be interested if I translated your videos to Spanish?
I would love if you could help me out and spread more earthquake awareness in Spanish!! Where would you post your videos?
I was driving during this quake and felt my car shift a bit and my tires where making a weird noise. Thought it was the road until I got a text asking if there was an earthquake lol! For context I was about 5 miles outside Philadelphia heading back into the City. When I got home I found my cat in the basement and some paintings misaligned.
Last time I heard there has been 31 aftershocks 😮
I was in that quake. I live in southern new jersey and at around 10:20-10:25am, both my 2 tvs downstairs started shaking. I run upstairs and the chandelier was shaking and my lamp fell off my desk. This was my first earthquake and i was terrified.
I live in northeastern Pennsylvania, but I didn't feel the earthquake. When that happened, I was playing with my toy dinosaurs.
Hey, can you do Greece? Big fan!!!
I can simulate an earthquake on the Hellenic Trench 👍
@EarthquakeSim i wanted you to do it in cyclades but i don't have a problem
I was in Pennsylvania while I was in school and all of a sudden there was a 4.8 earthquake good news is that the entire school wasn't damage and that was my first earthquake experience I had ever had in my entire life
I live in Westchester (a county right next to New York) it was not that bad nobody got hurt (as i know of) and it was just a little shake but I do have cousins that live next to Morristown and they did not feel much and everything was ok there
